Karachi Jinnah International KHI Airport Overview

Karachi Jinnah International Airport KHI is Pakistan's  major airport - located in Karachi, Sindh. Karachi is the largest city in south Pakistan, bordering on the Arabian Sea.   A passenger recently remarked favorably on the courtesy extended by Immigration officials towards the elderly and females in general, noting that they received priority status.

With two long runways and an estimated 3.1 million passengers in 2011, Karachi Jinnah Airport is hub for Pakistan International Airlines and for Shaheen Air International and Airblue and is served by a host of international airlines offering direct and connecting flights to all parts of the globe.

Jinnah International Airport has Domestic & International terminals under one roof, referred to as the 'Jinnah Terminal', offering 86 check-in desks, 12 gates & 12 airbridges. The International and the Domestic Terminals have two concourses (also referred to as 'satelites') on each side, linked by connecting corridors, each with 8 passenger loading bridges.
Concourse East (the 'Eastern Satellite) handles international operations, while 
Concourse West  (the 'Western Satellite) handles domestic and some international operations - made possible through a flexible arrangement of gates.
The two concourses supplement the departure lounges and provide shops and snack counters.

Other amenities and services inside the terminal comlex are a shopping arcade restaurants, duty-free soprental car counters, banking facilities, hold baggage, porters, free luggage carts, currency exchange counters in both Arrivals & Departures areas (for Arrival call 4671187, for Departure call 4671235). 
The Muslim Prayer Room is accessible from the Arrivals & Departures levels, open 24/7.
The CIP Lounge is for first- & business-class passengers, as well as card holders of Askari, Standard , Union & Habib Banks.

To get from Jinnah Airport to your destination, you can take a taxi (the taxi stand is in front of the terminals, available 24/7, offering air-conditioned taxis, or you can call the metro Radio cab 111-222-787, White cab 111-789-786, Star Radio Cab 111,STAR-27).
Railway tickets & booking are available in the Railway Booking Office (tel. 4671160, or visit pakrail.com), located on the groud floor, of the passenger terminal, and open 24/7.
