Kavala Alexandros International Airport KVA, or officially named ‘Kavala International Airport Megas Alexandros’, is located 12 km from the Greek town of Chrysoupoli; 30 km east of Kavala (Kavala prefecture), and 14 km from Keramoti. KVA is situated in the eastern part of Greek Macedonia - accessible via E90 motorway.
- The new Concessionaire Fraport Greece, which is now managing 14 Greek Airports, is starting to make much-needed upgrades to each of those airports, including Kavala.
With a long runway and annually about 73,000 passengers, Kavala Alexandros Airport is served by national, & internationalairlines offering direct flights to European destinations, as well as by seasonal charters.
The passenger terminal operates between April and October, opening weekdays 6:30am-8:15pm and weekends on average between 8:30am & 3pm and 9pm-10pm, depending on the day.
