Kerry KIR Airport Overview

Kerry Airport KIR is a regional airport and serves Kerry County in southwest Ireland. Itis supported by a great transportation network.
KIR Airport is located between the towns of Killarney & Tralee, or 13 km north of Killarney and the Ring of Kerry, and 15 km southeast of Tralee. National route N3 leads directly to the Airport; a bypass road gets you to Cork and Limerick in 90 minutes.

With two runways and an estimated 400K passengers a year, the Airport is presently served by Aer Lingus and Ryanair, as well as by charter services.
NOTE: U.S. or Canada-bound passengers on Aer Lingus receive an onward boarding pass from Dublin, with baggage being transferred automatically there while passengers complete emigration checks.
 
The passenger terminal at Kerry Airport offers the following amenities: The Customer Service desk is in the main concourse and is responsible for ticket & accommodation reservation, transport help and general tourist information. Currency Exchange is  at the Customer Service desk and exchange rates are clearly posted - major travelers checks & currencies are accepted.
Check-in desks are located in the main concourse. A restaurant & bar in the main concourse; a gift shop is in the departure lounge. A baby changing facility is located in the main concourse, next to the restaurant.  For WiFi access, contact Customer Service in the main concourse.
 
Parking options at Kerry Airport:  1. The Short-term carpark is opposite from the passenger terminal, intended for either for passenger pickingup /droppoff  or for short-term or overnight stays. The first 30 mins. are free.
2. The Long-Term carpark is only a two-minute walk from the passenger terminal, intended for extended stays. The first hour is free.  Rental ar agencies are located in this carpark - please contact your agency directly.

Transportation from Kerry Airport to your destination:  The bus terminal is steps from the terminal, while the train station is within walking distance of it.
The bus terminal offers direct service to Tralee, Killarney & Limerick, with connections to the Eireann bus network throughout Ireland. You can buy your bus ticket on the bus.
The nearest train station is a ten-minute walk from the Airport and offers train service to Tralee & Killarney, with connections throughout Ireland via the Iarnrod Eireann train network. For more train information open (www) irishrail.ie
