Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The airport has two security checkpoints located in the terminal building. One is located near the entrance of the terminal, and the other is located at the far end of the terminal near the gates. Both checkpoints are equipped with TSA PreCheck lanes for eligible passengers.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
There are no dedicated fast track lanes at Koha Hawaii Airport. However, TSA PreCheck lanes are available at both security checkpoints for eligible passengers. TSA PreCheck allows passengers to go through security screening without removing shoes, belts, and light jackets, and without taking laptops and liquids out of their carry-on bags.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control is located in the international arrivals area of the terminal building. The area is clearly marked and can be easily located upon arrival. Passengers arriving from international destinations will need to present their passport and any necessary visas to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers for inspection.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At KOA, the TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints are located on the ground level of the terminal. Passengers are required to go through security screening before entering the gate area. Global Entry Locations
Kona at Keahole Airport is one of the many airports in the United States that offers Global Entry, a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. The Global Entry Enrollment Center is located at the Honolulu International Airport, which is approximately a 30-minute flight from Kona Airport. Travelers interested in enrolling in Global Entry can schedule an appointment at the enrollment center or at other locations throughout the United States.

Airport Lounge Locations
KOA Airport offers a few lounges for travelers to relax in before their flight. The only airline lounge available is the United Club, which is located in the main terminal near gate 10. This lounge offers comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and beverages, and free Wi-Fi.
In addition to the United Club, there is also the Plumeria Lounge, which is open to all passengers for a fee. This lounge is located in the international terminal and offers a variety of amenities such as shower facilities, a business center, and complimentary food and drinks.
Baggage Claim Areas
Upon arrival at the airport, passengers can easily locate the baggage claim areas. The airport has two baggage claim carousels located in the terminal building. The first carousel is for domestic flights, while the second carousel is for international flights. Passengers can find their baggage by checking the flight information display screens located throughout the terminal building. Baggage carts are available near the baggage claim areas for passengers to use.
Luggage Cart Availability
Koha Hawaii Airport provides luggage carts for passengers to use free of charge. The carts are located near the baggage claim areas and throughout the terminal building. Passengers can easily spot the carts as they are labeled with the airport's logo. If passengers require assistance with their luggage, airport staff are available to help.
Luggage Storage Locations (Left Luggage)
KOA does not offer left luggage services. However, passengers can store their luggage at nearby hotels or resorts. Some hotels and resorts offer luggage storage services for a fee.
