  • Arriving gate D8 and Meeting someone

My friend and I both fly into LGA I arrive via Amer Airlines at gate D8 and she arrive via Delta from Indy at gate C29. Where should we meet ?

You should meet in the baggage claim of your terminal. She can take a curbside shuttle bus there from the Delta terminal.

  • Connecting times YUL-LGA; LGA-BOS

Arriving from YUL (Canada) to LGA at 08:45, then need to get to 10:00 flight LGA-BOS. Both on Delta in First. No bags, but I assume we need to go through immigration and then security again. Is there a fast track way to do this. I see that Delta shuttle moves to C31&32 on Nov 1st, and we travel on Nov 1st which should help. Have we enough time? Any tips please?

OK, got the answer now - pre-clearance at YUL will relieve us of the pleasure of standing in the immigration line at LGA. Connection should not be an issue, excepting any flight delays.

  • Where to meet someone?

My boy friend arrives to terminal C or D (Delta from Atlanta) and I will be arriving 2 hours later to terminal B (United Airlines from Houston). He will pick me up but we don´t know where. Could you recommend us a place? Where should we meet?

There's not really any places between the terminals. Since he arrives first maybe he should meet you in the Terminal B Baggage claim - there's a shuttle between C/D and B.

Baggage claim is outside security? He won´t have any problems to get there if he went out to take the bus from one terminal to another?

Yes, Domestic baggage claims are always outside security.

  • Terminal B to D

I have one hr between flights on a Friday. I will be flying into LGA at 9pm on United Airlines and my connecting flight is Delta (Terminal D). From what I understand, I will have to go through security again at Terminal D.........Is this realistic in one hour?

No, it is not realistic to do that in one hour. It's a long transfer between B and D and there's a very good chance your first flight will be late arriving.

  • Delta to US airways

Hello, I have 2 roundtrip trips butt up against one another. I am flying into LGA on delta at 7:47AM, and taking off for another flight at 8:40AM through US airways (again, 2 separate tickets). I know delta is terminal C/D, and US airways is terminal C, and know that there is a indoor connection between the 2 terminals now, but am wondering if I have to go through security again given it is different airlines? Thanks for your help in advance

i forgot to mention that i am not planning to have any check-in bags, only carry on. i know the walk between C and D is doable as i've done it before, my concern is just if i have to go thru security again since its a change of airline. thanks again

No, if you check-in online you don't have to go through security again.

  • Connecting

I have a very short time between my connection, so short that it was bought as 2 separate tickets because any airline would not advise such a short time between connections. But I have to risk it because I am trying to make a deadline. Anyway i know I arrive at terminal D from one flight, and then have to catch my next one at terminal. Can one walk between the 2 terminals or do you have to get a shuttle? Thanks in advance as I'm sure this question has been asked several times

It's difficult to walk between terminals but not impossible. Good luck. Check in for all your flights online before you leave.

  • Is 26 minutes enough time?
    Jun 26, 2014

I want to book a flight using reward miles. But, i'd have a 26 minute layover in LGA. That would just be stupid, right? If I book it and miss a flight, is the airline responsible for getting me to my destination, or would it be my fault because I booked a flight with a 26 minute layover?

If both tickets are booked on the same airline together, then they are responsible for getting you there even if you miss your connection, however, that may mean you won't get to your destination for several hours or maybe even a day later.

  • Arriving Delta Terminal D to Connection American Terminal B

I land in LGA at 6pm in terminal d, I have a flight on american that leaves at 7:25 p.m. in Terminal B - how long is the walk or is there a shuttle?

No, that is not a specific service that you pay for or reserve. Cape Air provides it if needed when they are able to as a courtesy.

  • Terminal B Concourse D to Terminal B Concourse C

Never been to LGA before, have a flight that gets in at 10:25 am in TB Concourse D on (AA) have 90 min until next flight in TB Concourse C on (American Eagle) can I change concourses with out going through security or will I need to exit the secure area and re-enter security on the next concourse? Also will I need to get my checked bags and recheck them or will AA transfer them to the next plane for me?

No, the two concourses are not connected inside security. You will have to go through security in Concourse C. However, your bags will be transferred automatically. You should have plenty of time. Security lines at Concourse C usually aren't too bad, especially late morning.

  • Connection betwen West Jet and Delta flight
    Apr 7, 2014

I am arriving in terminal C on west Jet and have to connect with Delta in Terminal D. I bought the ticket together, do I need to claim my luggage or will it go on, and if so is all of this doable in 1 hrÉ

No, you do not have to claim your baggage. WestJet should be able to check your bags through to Delta and Terminals C and D are connected by a pedestrian bridge inside security.

  • Enough time?

I have a flight coming into LGA at 3:00 on American and a departing flight at 3:40 on us airways? Is there any way I would make is connection if all on time? Best way between terminals?

If you bought both flights on one ticket (or have no bags to claim) you can make your transfer on time: AA arrives at Terminal TB, Concourse D (D gates); US Airways will depart from TC (C gates). Both TC & TD are connected at their airside (post-security).

ssapr is incorrect. Terminals B and C are not connected post security - which would be where you will be tranferring - it would be very difficult if not impossible to make this connection in 40 minutes.

  • Fastest way to get from Terminal B to Terminal D

Need to get from Terminal B to Terminal D quickly, what is the best way? We'll be arriving around 9:00 p.m.

Are you connecting to another flight or meeting someone? I don't think there's time for a connection that late between those terminals. The only between them is on a shuttle bus that runs on the non-secure side of the terminal.

  • connections with delta in 39 min???

I have a flight, pending if it is on time, arrival in terminal c, will I have enough time to make my connection in terminal D in under 39 min????

It should be doable. All Delta gates at LGA are connected inside security.

  • Distance Betweeen Concourses in Terminal B

Since we are travelling with an elderly person, I would like to know if we can go from concourse A in Terminal B to concourse D in same terminal within 55 mins? He cannot walk very fast. Will we need to stop for any security or other checks?

It's possible if your first flight is on-time. Yes, each concourse has its own security so you'll have to go through security in D.
