  • Terminal C to B?
    Mar 6, 2015

I will be arriving in C and need to get to B. I understand I will need to go through security at B, but will my bags go through without me having to pick them up at baggage claim? I am arriving from inside the US but will be connecting here to get to my destination in Canada.

  • Can I make terminal C to B

My flights were booked through American but my 1st flight is operated by UsAir landing in Laguardia 7:16 terminal C with my connection boarding 7:35 in terminal B with an 8:20 scheduled departure. Is there any way I'll make it? Is it possible to get from C to B without having to go back through security?

There is no connection inside security. You have to exit security and take the Route A or Route B bus to Terminal B and then go through security. Everything will have to go perfectly for you to make your connection. I don't know what AA keeps selling these very difficult multi-terminal connections at LGA.

  • Can one walk from termina B to C?

I have a short 45 minute layover at LGA, is it possible to walk from terminal B to terminal C? if, so how long will it take, if not what is the best option to go between both terminals in such a short time? I only have a carry on bag

It's a very difficult walk, there's no clear walking path. You can take the route A bus but that doesn't really leave you much time. Either way you will have to go through security again in Terminal C. I think this is a nearly impossible connection.

  • US Air Term C to AA Term B - for Int'l connection BOS-LGA / LGA-YUL

Just realized my flight tomorrow has a 70 min connection in LGA en route to Montreal and we have to switch terminals from C to B. Is there a way to get from terminal to terminal and not go back out to security? Also, will they check a bag all the way through or do we need to pick it up and re-check it?

There is no connection from C to B inside security. Your bags will be checked all the way through. You will have to take the Route A or Route B bus outside security to Terminal B and go through security. You still have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

I had an AA > USAirways change on 1/12/15 in LGA. 45 minutes, terminal B > C. AA had a podium at term B-gate D2 that provided a shuttle between the terminals on the tarmac, all within security and right to my gate! I could not have made it otherwise. I even called AA and asked them about the connection process - she didn't know about the shuttle service.

Do you remember where this shuttle took you at C? I have a close connection I need to make landing in C departing from B

Is 1:45 enough time to connect from a Delta flight in Terminal D to Southwest in Terminal B?

Without checked bags, barely. With checked bags, no.

How do I get from Terminal C to B? Is it easy? Can I do it after I get baggage at C so that I can meet someone at B?

Yes, the Route A or Route B bus on the lower level curbfront will take you there, it is right outside baggage claim.

  • WestJet Toronto arr. TD to Virgin American TB C6

Hi! I'm arriving at terminal D from Toronto WestJet flight to take a flight on Virgin America to DAL from terminal B gate C6. I have 1hr 45 min. What is my best option for getting from TB to TD? I am a Nexus flyer so can pass through security quickly. I guess I will have to get luggage and then check luggage since it's a different airline...suggestions?!

Shuttle route A or B will take you from Terminal D to Terminal B. They run outside security along the curbfront. Yes, WestJet and Virgin America do not have an interline agreement so you will have to collect your bags from Westjet and re-check them with Virgin America. NEXUS does now allow you to use faster security lines, however, security lines at LGA TB are generally short. You have barely enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • American international connection in 50min?
    Dec 16, 2014

I've got a 50min connection time between arriving from RDU and leaving for YYZ - both flights on American. I know American uses Terminal B, but I'm not sure which concourses I'll be in/out of. If it's worst-case and I have to clear security between concourses, is 50min enough time to make my connection?

Yes, that is enough time, security lines at LGA in Terminal B tend to be short. LGA can be delay-prone though.

  • Walk indoors between terminal C and D?
    Nov 30, 2014

I'm trying to get from Terminal C (US Airways) to parking lot P5 on the other side of Terminal D. Is there a way to stay indoors as long as possible during inclement weather? In particular, is there an indoor connection between Terminal C and D?

    Yes, there is.

Coming from SYR and arriving in LGA at 7:15, would it be possible to make the connection at 8:10, both flights on Delta?

Yes that is plenty of time.

  • Arriving gate D8 and Meeting someone

My friend and I both fly into LGA I arrive via Amer Airlines at gate D8 and she arrive via Delta from Indy at gate C29. Where should we meet ?

You should meet in the baggage claim of your terminal. She can take a curbside shuttle bus there from the Delta terminal.

  • Connecting times YUL-LGA; LGA-BOS

Arriving from YUL (Canada) to LGA at 08:45, then need to get to 10:00 flight LGA-BOS. Both on Delta in First. No bags, but I assume we need to go through immigration and then security again. Is there a fast track way to do this. I see that Delta shuttle moves to C31&32 on Nov 1st, and we travel on Nov 1st which should help. Have we enough time? Any tips please?

OK, got the answer now - pre-clearance at YUL will relieve us of the pleasure of standing in the immigration line at LGA. Connection should not be an issue, excepting any flight delays.

  • Where to meet someone?

My boy friend arrives to terminal C or D (Delta from Atlanta) and I will be arriving 2 hours later to terminal B (United Airlines from Houston). He will pick me up but we don´t know where. Could you recommend us a place? Where should we meet?

There's not really any places between the terminals. Since he arrives first maybe he should meet you in the Terminal B Baggage claim - there's a shuttle between C/D and B.

Baggage claim is outside security? He won´t have any problems to get there if he went out to take the bus from one terminal to another?

Yes, Domestic baggage claims are always outside security.

  • Terminal B to D

I have one hr between flights on a Friday. I will be flying into LGA at 9pm on United Airlines and my connecting flight is Delta (Terminal D). From what I understand, I will have to go through security again at Terminal D.........Is this realistic in one hour?

No, it is not realistic to do that in one hour. It's a long transfer between B and D and there's a very good chance your first flight will be late arriving.

  • Delta to US airways

Hello, I have 2 roundtrip trips butt up against one another. I am flying into LGA on delta at 7:47AM, and taking off for another flight at 8:40AM through US airways (again, 2 separate tickets). I know delta is terminal C/D, and US airways is terminal C, and know that there is a indoor connection between the 2 terminals now, but am wondering if I have to go through security again given it is different airlines? Thanks for your help in advance

i forgot to mention that i am not planning to have any check-in bags, only carry on. i know the walk between C and D is doable as i've done it before, my concern is just if i have to go thru security again since its a change of airline. thanks again

No, if you check-in online you don't have to go through security again.
