  • Changing from Delta to American - enough time?
    Apr 13, 2017
    3
I arrive LGA at 11:48am on Delta, and have to make an America flight at 1:00pm. Is this enough time?

Additional Info: Inbound flight from ROC to LGA arrives 11:48am. Outound from LGA to PSP leaves 1:00pm Carry-on luggage. Enough time?

Where are you connecting to PSP? In DFW? If so you will have to walk from Terminal C or D where you arrive to Terminal B and go through security. That will be very difficult.

Thank you very much for the prompt and knowledgeable response. Yes, the PSP connection is through DFW. Rebooked to arrive LGA at 10am. 3 hour layover and another $200 but no anxiety! This is a great service, thanks again.

  • OTT to FLL

Hi i will be flying with Delta from Ottawa to LGA and have exactly one hour for my next flight to FLL. Is it enough for the tranfer? whats the possibility that my checked luggage will make it too

That is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Ottawa so all you have to do in LGA is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Also the airport code for Ottawa is YOW, not "OTT".

I'm going from (CLT) to (YYZ)-Toronto wth a layover at LGA my inbound flight arrives at 7:14pm and leaves at 7:55pm I'm flying AA and it looks like I will have to switch from terminal C to B. I have carryon luggage only, do I stand a chance? Also will the airline pay for another ticket if there is a delay?

There is a shuttle inside security for AA passengers from C to B, but as you say, everything has to go perfectly. Yes, if you miss your connection, they will rebook you, but the next AA flight to Toronto probably isn't until the next morning.

Thanks! Also does aa put u up in a hotel or am I sleeping in the terminal, just curious lol

They would only put you up in a hotel if the first flight was delayed due to a mechanical problem.

Can a passenger walk to Terminal C from Terminal B with the construction happening now?

  • Enough time to make connecting flight?

I'm connecting at La Guardia and have a 36 minute layover. Flying Endeavor Air DBA Delta Connection and will have to go from Terminal D to Terminal B. Do I even stand a chance?

Are both of your flights on Delta/Delta connection? Because all Delta/Delta connection flights except those to Chicago and Washington-DCA are located in Terminals C and D.

Yes, both flights are on Delta/Delta Connection. I'm flying from Pittsburgh International, to La Guardia and then to Kansas City, MO.

Then all of your flights will be in Terminal C and D, you don't have to go to Terminal B. Therefore all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. you have enough time if the first flight is on-time but there's no time to spare if it's not.

I am looking into booking a flight from Columbus Ohio to Orlando FL on Delta. However, there is an hour and 49 minute layover in LGA. We will arrive in LGA at 9:31 AM and our next flight leaves at 11:20 AM. Both are on Delta. Is that enough time?

That is enough time if the first flight is on-time. All you have to do in LGA is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All Delta gates are connected inside security.

Arriving on a Delta connection (Endeavor) into LGA at 9:14pm from Milwaukee and flying out also on Delta Connection (Endeavor) at 9:50 to Manchester, NH. Looks like terminal C? Is this enough time? Do I need to take a bus from arrival area to departure area?

Yes, both flights will likely be in Terminal C. That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. You don't have to take a bus.

Actually one or both of your flights may also be in Terminal D, but C and D are connected inside security by a walkway.

  • Will we make our connecting flight.

We fly into La Guardia terminal D at 2:03 pm on a This Saturday and have 57 minutes to get to our connecting flight out at terminal B at 3:00. We have checked bags will we have enough time to make the connection.

I wanted to add that we fly in on Delta and our connecting flight is on Skywest.

Where are you flying to? Skywest does not operate their own flights out of New York. Is it a Delta Connection flight? Or are you confusing Skywest and Southwest?

The connecting flight Is actually listed as United 5810 operated by Skywest DBA United Express.

The connecting flight is actually listed as United 5810 operated by Skywest DBA United Express

In that case you are correct, that departs from Terminal B. If it's two separate reservations then you have no chance with checked bags. If it's one reservation and your bags are tagged through to United, then you'll need to run to Terminal B and go through security.

I am flying swa arriving at 1:10 and will have to pick up luggage. My next flight is on united to Montreal and leaves at 3:35. Is that enough time to get my luggage and recheck it for an international flight?

Unite doesn't fly from LaGuardia to Montreal. Please double check your reservation. Are you on Air Canada or are you leaving from a different airport? If you're on Air Canada from LaGuardia you should have enough time.

  • Security check?

I'm flying in from Boston to LGA. 90 minute layover. Arriving to Terminal C. Flying out of Terminal D. Do I need to go through the security check line again? Or are we already past that point and ready to go to the gate because we will be on a connecting flight?

There is a walkway from Terminal C to Terminal D inside security.

This walkway from C to D is it a people mover or fo you have to hike it. Also does my checked luggage go to D automatically?

It's a very short pedestrian bridge. I think it has a moving walkway. Yes, your bags go automatically.

We are flying from Boston to LGA. There is 90 minutes between flights. Arriving into terminal C. Flying out of terminal D. Is that enough time to make our next flight? We aren't checking any baggage. Only have carry on bags.

  • 37 min layover long enough?

Hello. I am looking at delta flights from Bangor,ME to Madison, WI that connect through LGA. Is 37 minutes long enough to get from one delta flight to the other? Only carry-on baggage.

It's enough time if the first flight is on-time. However, LGA is quite delay prone.

  • terminal d (or c) to terminal b

i'm planning on sharing a cab with some friends who are flying to LGA. i'm flying delta (so either terminal d or c) and they'll be arriving to terminal B. is 10-15 minutes a good estimate of how long it'll take me to meet them at B or will it take much longer? would it be faster to take the shuttle or walk? i'll have no baggage. thanks!

Yes, that's an accurate estimate. It would be fastest to walk. Traffic at LGA is a mess right now.

V r arriving LGA Terminal C by Delta 2699 at 07.53am. Our connecting flight Delta 375 leaves from Terminal D at 9am. Can we walk from Terminal C to Terminal D as v have no checkin baggage ( Delta to Delta). Or will we have to take a shuttle Bus. How much time will we need.

Yes, there is a walkway from C to D inside security. You have enough time.

Arriving delta terminal C. Next leg delta out of terminal d 30 minutes after arrival. Carryons only. Enough time?

It's possible if the first flight is on-time. Of course at LGA that is a very risky bet.

  • Terminals and time?

Hi. I am traveling with friends from gsp with a connecting flight through lga to yyz. We have one hour between flights. What terminal will we arrive and depart? And is this enough time? It says it's operated by expressjet DBA delta.

The flights will likely both be in Terminal D, but all Delta gates are connected inside security. You have enough time if the flight from GSP is on-time.

Thank you! The second flight is with westjet, will that change which terminal we depart from?

No, Westjet uses Delta gates in LGA.
