  • Terminal C to D
    Feb 19, 2013
My husband and I have a connecting flight through La Guardia on Feb 23rd. We fly in to Terminal C and out of Terminal D, and there is 45 minutes between flights. Roughly how long does it take to walk from Terminal C to D?

At LGA, while TC & TD are close together (and soon be connected)you will need to exit TC and enter TD, whether you walk over or take the Route A shuttle bus - meaning that you will need to go through security check at TD before proceeding to your gate. TD has gates D1-D11. You really need to hurry!

They are right next to each other but it was hard to tell how easy you can walk between them. You might want to ask immediately after departing the plane. I felt terrible because I was on the M60 bus on Friday and I didn't know which terminal was Delta or that there were two terminals for Delta. This nice girl said terminal C, but she got off at D because we both saw the Delta sign and I thought I was helping her. Instead I know now she had to walk to the other one and I was partly to blame. I wish I could find her and explain but of course that's impossible.

  • Changing Terminal
    Feb 16, 2013
We are flying from Toronto at the end of March and will have to change terminals from C to D and have an hour between flights. Will that be enough time or will it be rushed? We will only have to take our carry ons and will be cleared through customs in Toronto.

At Toronto you will go through US customs clearance, saving time at LaGuardia. While Terminals are presently not connected, you will need to exit TC and walk to the adjacent TD; since there is presently construction activity for the new connector to TC & TD, follow signs. Alternatively you can take the free Route A shuttle bus running every 10-15 mins. At TD (gates D1-D11) you need to go through security check before getting to your connecting gate. NOTE: Terminal B has also a Concourse D (for American Airlines, gates D2-D10). Make sure you got the right terminal! • From Toronto to LGA then to O'Hare
    Feb 4, 2013
ON Feb 5 I'm arriving from Toronto (YYZ) to LGA (not sure what terminal it arrives) at 6:43. Then taking a connecting flight to O'Hare at 8 PM at gate C9. Can someone give me an idea on where I need to go. I just have carry on luggage. Thanks!

Wanted to add that I arrive in terminal B from Toronto and have to catch the connecting flight at terminal C. What is the most efficient way to get there the fastest? Thanks!

    1. Do make sure to go through US customs precleance at Toronto! 2. At LaGuardia, your arrival depends on which airline you are taking. (your departing C gates would be in Terminal C - which does not have a C9 gate. I suggest you open then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

    1. Do make sure to go through US customs precleance at Toronto! 2. At LaGuardia, on arrival at Terminal B, look at overhead screens to find your connecting flight & gate number. To get to Terminal C, you need to exit the terminal and take the free shuttle bus, Route A, running every 10-15 mins, - or take a taxi. Note, however, that Terminal C has gates gates C15-C44 (gates C26 & C28 are in the center, C15-24 are at East, and C29-44 are at West) - there is no gate C1 listed. At TC, you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. I suggest you open then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • Delta to American AFTER baggage pickup
    Jan 9, 2013
I'm arriveing in the Delta Terminal, my friend is arriving in the American Terminal. We are not connecting, we're staying NY. After we get our baggage how do I get FROM Delta to American baggage claim? THANKS

At LGA, American uses Terminal B and Delta uses Terminals D & C. Terminal B is divided by the P3 long-term Parking lot from TC; TC & TD are close together, but presently not connected. The free shuttle bus roue A runs every 10-15 minutes between the terminals, or you can take a taxi.

  • US Airways connections
    Jan 3, 2013
On 31 Jan 2012 I have a flight from Charlotte to LGA (US Airways) landing at 5.55pm with a connecting US Airways Express flight for PHL departing at 6.25. Is this enough time? The terminal map looks small so I'm hoping it's only a 5 minute walk from gate to gate, as it's all under US Airways. Can anyone tell me please? Thanks

At LGA you arrive at & depart from Terminal C, which has gates C15 to C44 (gates C26 & C28 are in the center, C15-24 are to the right, and C29-44 are to the left). Just walk to your connecting gate.

  • cell phone lot
    Dec 29, 2012
Does lga have a cell phone lot for picking up arriving passengers

LGA has no cell phoe lot; however, Terminal A has a metered 2-hour limit lot. Terminal frontages are only for loading/unloading - unattendet cars will be towed at owner's expense.

  • Tight Connection: Arrive D, depart C
    Nov 26, 2012
I have a Delta connecting flight arriving at 8:48AM on Term D, with a departing flight at 9:33AM on Term C. Is this sufficient time? Are the terminals connected?

On arrival at LGA at TD, you have the option of walking over to TC or taking the bus - in both instances you need to exit TD and go through security check at TC before connecting to your gate. (TC & TD are close together, but not coected. The B Shuttle bus runs every 10-15 mins between these terminals. Time is extremely short.

    Nov 3, 2012
Trying to find out the wait time for security and check in for tomorrow's flight. Any help be great thanks

Under the present circumstances , first make sure your LGA flight isn't canceled - for LGA specific flight delay information, contact your airline directly - open . Furthermore, look at recent Airport Info-Alerts, at . If your flight is listed - be at the Airport earlier than usual - particularly early mornings and evenings.

  • Gate?
    Nov 14, 2012
    Where is gate SH2?

LGA has no such gate. I suggest you open, click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the detailed text showing Airline affiliation, concourses, gates and transfer options.

Gate SH2 is at Terminal A or more commonly "Marine" terminal.

I have 55 minutes to get from Delta terminal D to Terminal B it walking distance between the 2 terminals, do you thing i can catch it

On arrival at Terminal D take the free shuttle bus - route A - which runs every 10-15 minutes: Take Route A, serving all terminals; or take a taxi outside your terminal. In either case you need to go through security check at Terminal B before proceeding to your connecting gate.

  • Commute: Times Square to LGA
    Oct 4, 2012
Friday Oct. 12, leaving interview at 4:30, with a 6:30 flight from the main terminal (American Airlines). With car service waiting at 4:30 sharp, will I make the flight (all carry on)?

Even with the worst kind of traffic, leaving Manhattan - or parts of Long Island or Queens - you should easily be able to make it to Terminal A (American AL) and still have time for a bite to eat!

  • Transfering from LGA to JFK
    Sep 19, 2012
I have a flight from Ottawa Canada to Athens Greece. Our flight lands in LGA at 1:21 and we depart from JFK at 4:30. We will not be checking our bags. 3 hrs to get there! Any advice on how to make it to JFK in the best time? Shuttle? Taxi? Private limo?

    1. Make sure to use U.S. Customs clearance at Ottawa Airport. 2. To get to JFK, you have the options of taking a metered taxi or limo, both take about 30 mins; or call the folowing three services, all of which take 45-60 mins: ETS Air Shuttle 718-221-5341; All County Express 914-381-4223 or 516-285-1300; NYC Airporter 718-777-5111. 3. (a) The Welcome Center on the Arrivals level of the Central Terminal at LGA Airport offers transportation information - all transportation arrangements can be made there, including shared rides, private car and limousine service. (b) Delta, Marine Air and US Airways Terminals have ground transportation counters on their Arrivals level for information on New York & New Jersey travel. 4. JFK has 7 terminals, make sure you land at the right terminal for your connecting airline. I suggest you open and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the detailed text to find your terminal. At your JFK terminal you need to go through security check before proceeding on to your connecting gate. Your time is sufficient.
