  • Delta to US airways

Hello, I have 2 roundtrip trips butt up against one another. I am flying into LGA on delta at 7:47AM, and taking off for another flight at 8:40AM through US airways (again, 2 separate tickets). I know delta is terminal C/D, and US airways is terminal C, and know that there is a indoor connection between the 2 terminals now, but am wondering if I have to go through security again given it is different airlines? Thanks for your help in advance

i forgot to mention that i am not planning to have any check-in bags, only carry on. i know the walk between C and D is doable as i've done it before, my concern is just if i have to go thru security again since its a change of airline. thanks again

No, if you check-in online you don't have to go through security again.

I have a very short time between my connection, so short that it was bought as 2 separate tickets because any airline would not advise such a short time between connections. But I have to risk it because I am trying to make a deadline. Anyway i know I arrive at terminal D from one flight, and then have to catch my next one at terminal. Can one walk between the 2 terminals or do you have to get a shuttle? Thanks in advance as I'm sure this question has been asked several times

It's difficult to walk between terminals but not impossible. Good luck. Check in for all your flights online before you leave.

  • Is 26 minutes enough time?

I want to book a flight using reward miles. But, i'd have a 26 minute layover in LGA. That would just be stupid, right? If I book it and miss a flight, is the airline responsible for getting me to my destination, or would it be my fault because I booked a flight with a 26 minute layover?

If both tickets are booked on the same airline together, then they are responsible for getting you there even if you miss your connection, however, that may mean you won't get to your destination for several hours or maybe even a day later.
