- LFT Airport Overview
Lafayette Regional Airport is located in Lafayette, Louisiana. Interstate highways I-10 (E-W) and I-49 (N-S) intersect at Lafayette, providing excellent highway access in all directions. Lafayette is located midway between Houston and New Orleans and only 35 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. The Airport is a public use, primary commercial-service, short-haul airport--as designated by the FAA. Its aim is to connect efficiently southwest Louisiana with destinations around the world, while providing a safe and secure environment. Lafayette Regional serves more than 600,000 residents of eight surrounding parishes, with the city of Lafayette being southwest Louisiana's largest city. Presently, Lafayette Regional offers daily nonstop flights to hubs in Atlanta via Delta/ASA; Dallas/Fort Worth via American Eagle; Houston via Continental Express; and Memphis via Northwest Airlink.
The passenger terminal includes amenities linke a business center, porters, the Fy Lafayette Club, and shops and restaurants. There are three parking lots available with covered walkways to the terminal: the Short- and Long-Term lots and the Economy lot.
