Lafayette Regional LFT Airport Overview

Lafayette Regional Airport LFT serves the area between the cities of Houston and New Orleans, which includes eight parishes (known as 'Acadiana') and 600,000 residents.  The area is noted for its Cajun & Creole cultures, rich in tradition, and famous for its cuisine & music.

The Airport is located in Lafayette, Louisiana's largest city (situated in the state's southwestern part) in the heart of Acadiana - known as 'Cajun Country' - and is only 35 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Interstate Hwys 10 (E-W, exit 103A) & I-49, which becomes Hwy 90 (N-S - ) intersect at Lafayette, providing excellent highway access in all directions.

With an estimated 400,000 passengers a year, Lafayette Regional Airport  is served by a few major airlines offering direct flights to some U.S. hubs with connections around the world.

The passenger terminal at Lafayette Regional Airport includes amenities like a business center with Wi-Fi access and free 110V charging facility offers free computer use, free local calls, worktable, faxes (calling card for long-distance), copy machine, porters, the Fly Lafayette Club, shops and food & drink establishments,  and rental car counters in the baggage claim area. The terminal is open 4am until the last flight of the day.  The terminal opens 4am & closes with the last flight.

Parking options at Lafayette Regional Airport include three parking lots with covered walkways to the terminal: the Short- and Long-Term lots and the Credit Card lot. All lots offer the first 30 minutes free - ideal for picking up a passenger at the Airport. There is now also a credit card lot, and the rental car parking lot is to the right of the terminal. All parking options are accesible via Terminal Drive.
