Lafayette Regional LFT Airport Overview

Lafayette Regional Airport LFT serves the City of Lafayette in the southwestern part of the State of Louisiana, as well as the area between the cities of Houston and New Orleans, which includes eight parishes (known as 'Acadiana' or 'Cajun Country') and 600,000 residents.  The area is noted for its Cajun & Creole cultures, rich in tradition, and famous for its cuisine & music.

LFT Airport is located in Lafayette, situated - in the heart of Acadiana - is only 35 miles from the Gulf of Mexico - accessible directly from Route 182. Interstate Hwys 10  & I-49 (which becomes Hwy 90) intersect at Lafayette, providing excellent highway access in all directions.

With 3 runways and an estimated 460K annual passengers, Lafayette Regional Airport is served by some major airlines offering direct flights to U.S. hubs with convenient connections.

The passenger terminal at Lafayette Regional Airport The terminal is open 4:30am until last flight of the day. tincludes amenities like a business center with Wi-Fi access and free 110V charging facility offers free computer use, free local calls, business center, faxes (calling card for long-distance), copy machine, porters, the Fly Lafayette Club; food, drink, gift shops, kiosks at Acadiana Tap House;  and rental car counters in the baggage claim area. The terminal is open 4am until the last flight of the day.  Recent terminal improvements included security area and a dual jet bridge for enplaning & deplaning.

NOTE: 'Mobile Boarding' displays your boarding pass at TSA screening.  TSA Pre-check is also available.

Present and future Airport developments:  A new terminal - to replace the current one - will cover an area of about 107,520 sq.feet, and house five boarding gates, a full-service restaurant & a gift shop - scheduled for completion by 2020. (The parking lot is to double its size.)
