Lamezia Terme SUF Airport Overview

Lamezia Terme Airport SUF serves the Italian area of Calabria. High season for the Airport is in summer, increasing passenger traffic considerably.

The Airport is located near Lamezia Terme, in Calabria, and is accesible via the nearby motorway A3 (Salerno-Reggio Calabria), by state street 280 from Catanzaro, and by train from the central station of Lamezia Terme.

With 2 long runways and an estimated 2.3 million passengers in 2011, SUF Airport is served by many domestic and international, regular and low-cost airlines offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.
Furthermore the Airport offers helicopter services to the Aeolian Islands, ca. 35 nautical miles away, as well as to other points in Calabria & Sicily, and to Pollino National Parks, Aspromonte, and the  Sila & Serre highlands.

Lamenzia Terme Airport has a brand-new passenger terminal with a ground, first & second level:
The ground floor houses only a hairdresser;
Level 1 houses International Arrivals, Customs, National Arrivals, food & drink establishments & shops, the Amica lounge, an ATM cash machine, and in the Boarding Halls another customs area, a pizzeria & the Amica lounge;
Level 2 houses a VIP hall, a restaurant, some offices, business centers and access to the departure gates.
Other services and amenities in the passenger terminal include luggage wrapping, lost luggage care, customs, tourist information, VIP lounge SACAL, reservation desks, lost & found and WiFi internet acccess.

Rental car facilities are off-Airport site: Therefore, use the ‘citofoni’ courtesy phone in the baggage claim area to contact the rental car agency of your choice (Avis, Europcar, Maggiore, Hertz, Sixt, Sicily-by-Car; Italy-by-Car/Thrifty; VAI, Budget & Travelcar).

To get from Lamezia Terme Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi, a bus to the train, or one of the buses listed below: Taxis are located in front of Arrivals (tel. 39 096 85 1722).
1.A shuttle bus to the Railway Station runs every 30 minute, where you can take trains for different destinations (Railway Station tel: 1478 88088).
2. The ‘Lamezia Multiservizi ‘(tel. 39 098 441812) is a shuttle bus to Marinella. For Bus Filli Romano call 962 28538;  for Bus Autoservizi Preita call 984 413001.
3. ‘Ferrovie della Calabria’ buses (tel. 39 096 189 6111) serve the main provinces in the region.
