Lehigh Valley (ABE) Airport

Lehighww Valley International Airport ABE is between Allentown and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and is easily accessible from Interstate 78 and Route 22. You can reach almost any domestic and international destination when you book a flight with one of the airlines serving the Airport with daily nonstop departures and connections. Recently the Airport also added some more low-cost airlines. For area residents, the Airport can be a convenient alternative to Newark or Philadelphia airports--offering an uncrowded, comfortable and secure terminal with quick access to your gate. Even with a stop at the ticket counter, it usually takes only 15 to 20 minutes from the time you park your car until you arrive at the gate.

These are some of the amenities offered at Lehigh Valley Airport: Assistance for people with disabilities, an ATM machine on the lower level, Customer Care volunteers, elevators/escalators with braille signage, free luggage carts, mail facilities and a mail-back program. Last year the terminal received a new roof. Also, the first phase of the Terminal Renovation Program began in June 2006. The appearance of the terminal interior will change significantly, resulting in a fresh, contemporary look by replacing existing finishes. New flat screen LCD displays will replace the existing flight information monitors. New ticket counters, fresh wall treatments, replacement and addition of the terminal glass curtain wall - the entire facility will take on a more contemporary appearance. Also, all electrical and mechanical systems will be replaced by the completion of the project - estimated to be October 2010.

To pick up a passenger at the Airport, use the free Cell Phone Lot--stay with your vehicle until your party calls you to be picked up at the curb. Other parking options are: Short-term parking adjacent to the terminal; Long-term parking is next to the terminal; Economy parking is only a short walk from the terminal and also serviced by a free shuttle bus--this lot has a credit card payment feature at the 'Paid in Terminal or Credit Card Exit Only'. Valet parking is available on the curb, in front of the upper-level terminal ticket counters; upon your return, go to the valet office near the baggage claim area to retrieve your car. Payment options: The Terminal Pay Station on the lower level of the main terminal provides quick access for payment of parking fees. Retrieve your parking ticket and receipt, collect your baggage and proceed to the 'Paid in Terminal or Credit Card Exit Only' lanes. Credit card payments are also accepted in each exit lane marked the same way.

To get to the city and beyond, or to get to another Airport upon arrival, you have the following transportation options: LANTA/Metro, the Lehigh Valley Public Transportation; Easton Coach Company with daily service to Atlantic City; Bieber Tourways with daily service to 30th Street Station, Atlantic City, NYC, Philadelphia, Kutztown, Quakertown and Reading; and Trans-Bridge Lines with daily service to NYC, EWR Airport, JFK Airport, Wall Street, Jersey City.
