I am flying to Dublin ,Ireland on Dec 19th. I used Travelocity and they have me coming into Boston on American Airlines in terminal B and leaving 1hour and 4 minutes later on Aer Lingus from terminal C. Is this reasonable? I questioned them and they said it was fine.

You will have to walk to Terminal C and go through Security. It's doable but doesn't leave much time to spare.

We are arriving SW Terminal A. How do we get to Terminal E Hainan Airlines?

You can either take a shuttle bus or it's a long walk.

I will be flying from Lisbon to Orlando with a layover in Boston on January 2nd. Will a 2h Layover be enough to get through customs? Im flying on a J visa

What airlines are you flying? Are your flights on the same reservation or two separate reservations?

I am flying out of terminal B. Will I be able to go to a lounge in another terminal before my flight?

    No, you can't.

  • Separate flights arriving in A, leaving from E

8 of us are coming into Terminal A on a SW flight on Tues morning, 10:55. We have a British Airways flight out of Terminal E that night. From my previous post, I learned that we can't check our baggage with British Airways until after 4:30 PM. Do we have to pick up our luggage from the Southwest flight in Terminal A, then take a shuttle to Terminal E with our luggage? If so, is there somewhere to store the luggage in Terminal E, if we decide to spend some of our layover doing something in Boston? Thanks for the help. I am wondering about the logistics of moving our luggage from point A to Point E.

Yes, you do. There is no baggage storage in Terminal E (or any other terminal in Boston). So you'll have to take your bags with you on any sightseeing you do.

Arriving from Martha's Vineyard then flying to Toronto. I have 1hour 40 mins window to catch the Toronto flight. Is this enough??? I booked separate flights. Thanks.

Scotty, do you have checked baggage? What airlines are you flying?

Hello, I'm traveling from Iceland to Boston arriving at 4:25pm. Will I be able to make it through customs and security again to make a connecting flight to Tampa at 7:10pm? I think that may be cutting it too close and I may need to stay overnight in Boston.

that's just enough time if the flight from iceland is on-time

Traveling from REK to BOS by WOWair reaching at 5:25PM and taking United at 7:40PM. Is there enough time with a checked luggage. Thanks

With checked baggage that will be fairly difficult, but I won't quite say it's impossible.

The Jetblue flight from Pitsburgh to Boston arrives at Terminal C and the Emirates flight to Dubai is also at terminal C. All tickets on single itinerary so hoping bags will be checked through. I have 1hr 45min at the Boston Airport. Is it enough time? Do I have to go through security again? Is it a long walk within the terminal? Too many questions as I am travelling with a toddler

Yes, your bags will be transferred and all you have to do in Boston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. It is less than a 10 minute walk.

Flying on United from ky to Boston with one reservation, then separate reservation for flight on aer lingus from Boston to Dublin. Gave myself a long layover and not checking a bag- if I use mobile boarding passes will I have to go out and back through security between terminals? It's the same route on the return as well

Yes, you will still have to exit security and go through it again for your Aer Lingus flight as United's Terminal B is not connected to any others inside security.

I am travelling from Cleveland to Mumbai Inida. I have connecting flight at BOS. I will arrive in BOS at 9 and have flight to Doha. The flight is arriving at terminal C and departure is from terminal E. The reservation is on the same ticket for all the flights. Do I need to collect and check in bags again in the BOS? Do I need to go through security checks again in BOS? How long it will take to go from terminal C to E? Thanks

Arriving BOS at 9 pm and have flight to Doha at 10:55 pm.

No, you don't have to do anything with your bags in Boston. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is a walkway inside security from C to E inside security.

I have a flight from DOH to BOS arriving at 14:30 (Terminal E) and another from BOS to YYZ departing 16:25 (Terminal B). Both flights on the same ticket, I have one checked bag and am a Canadian citizen. Is the 1:55 enough for the connection?

That's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Thanks. By far and away, this is the most helpful airport site on the web.

Great. Would you say it would be enough time to purchase something from the same terminal as my flight to YYZ?

It really depends if your flight from Doha arrives early or not and if the immigration lines are long or not.

  • SNN to BOS to ATL (checked luggage, separate reservation

My wife and I are flying from SNN to BOS. We have almost exactly a two hour layover. We then will have to get our checked luggage and recheck with Delta on a seperate reservation for our flight to ATL. We will have cleared customs in SNN. Enough time? This is a wonderful site. Thanks!

That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

What is the easiest way to get from Terminal A to Terminal E? We have 2 hrs 40 mins to get off plane, collect luggage and get to Terminal E and re-check-in. Can we take a bus? Is there someone to help us get the luggage on the bus?

There is a bus - there is nobody to help you load your bags onto the bus. Don't pack more baggage than you can carry.

  • Three hours international to domestic

I have two separate flights, one international flight + one domestic flight. The first one is from Hong Kong to Boston w/ Japan Airlines, while the other is from Boston to Burlington (VT) w/ American Airlines. I am a non-US citizen, and have baggage that needs to be collected then re-checked in. My first flight arrives at 5:52am, and I plan to book a domestic flight that leaves at 9am. Will I make it, and any advice or reminders? Thank you.

American does not fly from Boston to Burlington. Please double check your reservation.

Thank you for getting back to me. There is, the flight I saw with American Airlines flies from Boston to Philadelphia, then from Philadelphia to Burlington (Republic Airlines operating as American Airlines.) In addition to this clarification, I would like to ask again if the transit time between the separate flights is sufficient.
