  • Terminal B to E. Do I need to exit security?
    Feb 29, 2016
I arrive at Terminal B but am not getting picked up from the airport for a few hours so I would like to go to the lounge in Terminal E. Is there a way to get from B to E without having to exit security? I won't be able to re-enter security without a new boarding pass. Thanks!

That's not possible. No Terminals at BOS are connected to each other inside security.

  • JetBlue transfer to Turkish Air
    Feb 29, 2016
Hello. Tuesday March 1st, I'll be flying in on JetBlue arriving at 8:55 PM at terminal C, then departing terminal E on Turkish air at 10:55 PM. Will I need to out of the terminal to collect bags and then go back through security or can I arrange for bags to be transferred from JetBlue? Will this transfer time be enough?

If both tickets are on the same reservation then your bags will be tagged through and you just have to go from C to E and through security. If you purchased two separate reservations then you will have to claim your bags from Jetblue and transfer them to Terminal E yourself.

  • PHL(Jet Blue) to BOS (Emirates)
    Feb 26, 2016
Hello, I will be flying from PHL to BOS via Jet Blue and then to DBX via Emirates, There is 1hr 33 mins layover in Boston. Would this time be sufficient time for me to change terminals/security check at Boston Airport. I believe my bags will be checked all the way through to DBX. Thanks,

Yes, that is enough time. You will both arrive and depart in Terminal C. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You don't have to go through security.

  • Connection from AA (International)
    Feb 25, 2016
I bought a ticket for my 15 1/2 year old son, who will be traveling with a group from BOS to CDG on AA. He will travel as a young adult, not as an unaccompanied minor. He will have one checked bag. I need to buy a separate ticket for him from SEA to and from BOS. 1. The departing flight leaves BOS at 6:55 pm. I am considering an AA flight that gets to BOS at 3:43 pm. Will that be enough time? Will AA allow us to check the bag all the way through to Paris so he won't have to pick it up an re-check it at Logan? 2. On the return, the flight arrives in BOS at 12:45 pm. My son has Global Entry and TSA Pre-check. Will an AA flight at 2:25 be feasible? If not, he will take the 4:30 pm JetBlue nonstop. Does JetBlue have a check-in desk at international arrivals, or will have to check in at the JetBlue terminal?

That should be enough time. He will have to claim and re-check his bag in Boston. On the return I would book the 4:30 flight just to make things easier. He will have to bring his bag to the Terminal C to re-check it with Jetblue.

  • Transit Time
    Feb 24, 2016
Hi - I'm arriving at Boston Terminal E on a BA flight from Heathrow at 3.05pm and have the option of taking a flight at either 4.40pm or 6.50pm to Detroit from terminal A with Delta. Which do you reccomend? 95 minutes feels a bit tight.

With checked bags on two separate reservations, I don't think you could make the 4:40 flight. Without checked bags you'd have a chance.

  • Transit Time
    Feb 21, 2016
I am planning to book a ticket and want some informations about transit in BOS. I am planning to fly (in April) from Cleveland to Boston (JetBlue) and form Boston to Doha in Qatar airlines flight. I'll reach in BOS at 8:50 PM and next flight is at 10:55 PM. I wanted to know if it is enough time. I think my checked in luggage will be through in final destination as I'll book two tickets together.

Yes, that should be enough time. You will just have to go to Terminal E and through security.

  • getting through customs
    Feb 19, 2016
US citizen returning from Dublin on aerlingus at13:45 and will take southwest at15:05 will I be able to get through customs and get to southwest terminal in time.

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Boston is claim your bags go to Terminal A, re-check your bags with Southwest and go through security. I still think you have barely enough time if everything goes perfectly though.

  • Man to Bos
    Feb 21, 2016
Im flying from Manchester UK on Thomas Cook air. I believe I will be on the first flight that the airline flies to Boston so I have no idea on how to guess their chances of arriving on time. The flight lands at 3:10pm and I have a southwest flight booked to Austin that leaves at 5:40pm. I will almost definitely have at least one checked bag. I may have global entry by this point, but not 100% sure. Is it possible to go from terminal E to Terminal A (I think) in 2 and a half hours. I have a back up flight booked for the next day, but really cant afford to miss the transfer. This is also booked for Memorial day. Not too sure if there will be additional traffic due to the holiday.

I won't say it's impossible, but it will depend on things going smoothly.

Does memorial day increase the possibility of missing the connection.

It doesn't affect it much. Memorial day isn't a huge air travel holiday.

  • SATA to JetBlue in 1.5 hours?
    Feb 18, 2016
We are arriving on a non-stop SATA flight from PDL at 5pm. We want to take the 6:38 pm JetBlue flight back home to Portland, OR. How close are the terminals? Will checked bags make a difference?

Also, these tickets will be booked separately.

The terminals aren't too far but aren't exactly right next to each other either. you have no chance of making this with checked bags. It's barely possible without checked bags if SATA is on-time (which is rare).

    Thank you!

Hey i arrive from CLE TO BOS At 20:37 and my flight to dubai on fly emirates at 22:20, do i have to recheck my bags? My whole trip is booked through Emirates flights! Will i have enough time?

If everything was booked together through Emirates then all you have to do in Boston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

That's pretty awesome thanks!! Yeah the whole trip is booked via emirates, the operating flight from cle to bos is jetblue

Yes, both airlines use Terminal C in Boston.

  • connecting in BOS
    Feb 14, 2016
Arriving from TLV on El Al @ 5:30am Terminal E. Taking the 7:16am flight on Jetblue in Terminal C from BOS to SAN. Entire itinerary is a codeshare booked through El Al so I presume my checked luggage will go all the way through (Am I wrong?) Will I have enough time to clear customs / passport control. Flying on a US Passport. I have no perks (no TSA pre-check nor global entry nor status of any kind with either airline)

In Boston you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your luggage, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go to Terminal C (either walk or take the shuttle) and then go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.

  • Connecting Flight
    Feb 14, 2016
Hi, I will be arriving from Toronto to Boston at 10:04 AM terminal B via Air Canada (would had cleared customs in Canada). Then I have a connecting flight to Dubai via Emirates in terminal C that departs at 11:55 AM. I am assuming I will need to get luggage from arrival and recheck for departure. Will this time between flights suffice (1 hr 50 mins). Is there another security screen to go through for departure flight from Terminal C?

Yes, you will have to go through security again in Terminal C. You should have barely enough time.

  • Connecting in BOS
    Feb 11, 2016
Flying from Lisbon to Boston on SATA - arrive at 7pm. Is there enough time to connect to get to a Spirit flight departing at 9:05pm. No checked bags & US Passport - assuming the SATA flight arrives on time.

With no checked bags this is possible. But betting on SATA to be on-time is not a bet I would make.

  • Traveling from CLT to Iceland through Boston
    Feb 3, 2016
My family will be flying from Charlotte to Reykjavik through Boston. We land in terminal C at 8 pm and our flight to Iceland leaves at 9:30 pm in terminal E. I am unsure if we are able to print our boarding passes to Iceland ahead of arrival in Boston. I am worried about the time and also transportation to Terminal E. Any advice? I will have my husband, father and two young daughters with me too!

Will you have checked bags? I don't think you can make that connection with checked bags. The fastest way from C to E is to walk.

  • Travelling on Emirates and connecting on American airline
    Jan 30, 2016
I arrive on Emirates from Dubai at 8:00am in Terminal E with checked luggage. What is the minimum time that I need to make it pass customs and connect on to American airlines? 3 hrs?

Yes, I would recommend 3 hours.
