Leaving out of Boston to Istanbul. How much time do I need between flights. Checking in 1-2 bags.

There's no US Customs when leaving the US. However, if you're booking a separate ticket into Boston, I'd want about 3 hours in between when that flight arrives and the Turkish flight is scheduled to leave.

Ok, so I am flying into Boston from another city. Im this case should have three hours in between flights? Also, what about customs coming back into Boston from Turkey before having to get on my flight back home?

Yes, 3 hour should be enough time on the way to Istanbul. On the return I'd want at least 3 hours.

My son has a international flight on Friday the 17th of june arrives BOS at 3:30pm on Eurowing which is Lufthansa. I can purchase flight on southwest departing at 5:50pm is that enough time to connect with bags.

I would personally want a later flight, but it's not downright impossible.

I will be arriving in Boston at 12:18pm on Delta on July4th - my connection is scheduled to leave at 2:00pm on United. The flights were booked on separate itineraries, will I have enough time? If not, is there anything I can do (aside from change flights) to make things more feasible?

I do have 1 checked bag as well

It's not impossible but it's certainly not easy. You'll have to hope your delta flight is on-time and your bag comes out quickly, run to the United check-in desk in Terminal B, check your bags, and go through security. If you can do your trip without a checked bag that would save a bit of time.

We are arriving at Logan on JetBlue at 7:21pm. We leave on Icelandair at 8:45 pm. According to the answer to another post, we will have to go through security again. Is there enough time?

Yes, that should be just enough time as long as your JetBlue flight is on-time and your bags are checked through to IcelandAir.

  • Terminal E to C, 13 hours connection time

I am flying with turkish airlines and arrive to BOS terminal E at 6:15 pm. My next flight is next day, 7:45 am with jetblue from terminal C. I am travelling with my son and I have 4 bags. The tickets are booked together, but I will have to check out and take my luggage at terminal E. Can I re-check at terminal E? Isn't it too much connection time for a re-check? If not, can I walk with a luggage cart from one terminal to another?

Yes, you will be able to drop your bags at the re-check desk in Terminal E, then walk or take the shuttle to Terminal C and go through security. You should just have enough time if everything goes smoothly.

    Thanks a lot!

Sorry, I just missed how long your connection is - because it is overnight you likely won't be able to re-check your bags until the morning, probably about 4:30. I suggest getting a hotel.

OK, but do you know anything about carts? Can I move with a luggage cart from terminal E to terminal C?

I am arriving to Boston on JetBlue at 7pm. I have a connecting flight on Iceland air at 8:45pm. Do I have to collect my luggage and go through security again? If so, is this enough time.

If both tickets are on the same reservation you don't have to claim your bags but you will have to go through security again in Terminal E.

My Daughter and I will be flying in from Rome on August 4th. We get in at 6:40pm and will then fly to Minneapolis at 8:55pm. Is that enough time to go through customs and immigration. We plan on doing carryon luggage only.

Yes, that should be enough time.

Arriving from London on Norweigan Air @ 7:05pm on 7/11. Having trouble finding a late flight to Atlanta. Would 8:25 pm departure be enough time to get through customs and from terminal E through security in terminal A (no checked bags)? Thanks!

No, that wouldn't be enough time. If there are no later flights and you have already booked that flight to Boston, plan on spending the night in Boston.

Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, change terminals, re-check your bags, and go through security. You should have enough time.

My daughter arrives via American Airlines at Terminal B. She has to take a Delta flight from Terminal A. How does she reach from B to A? Will she need to go through security again? Thanks!

I would suggest checking out the official airport map. It has a pretty handy interactive map. I'm not sure about the security bit of the question. http://www.massport.com/logan-airport/inside-the-airport/logan-interactive-maps/ Hope that helps.

Yes, connecting between Terminal A & B at Boston Logan will require going through the security again, sorry.

I'll be arriving in Terminal E, from Portugal, at 5pm. I will have to go through security/customs, pick up my checked luggage, change terminal to Terminal B, check in at the United counter and go through security again to access the gates. My flight to Chicago leaves at 7.55pm. Do you guys think I have enough time?

I think that's enough time if your flight from Portugal arrives on-time.

You can check in your bags after Custom at Terminal E so at least United will know you are going to Terminal B. I agree that if your flight arrives on time, you should be able to make it! Good Luck!

Hey, thanks for the reply. What do you mean I can check my bags in at terminal E? Is there a United counter there or something? Because I can't see it on the airport website! If not, where else could i do it? Thanks!

If all your tickets are on the same reservation and your bags are tagged to your final destination then you can drop your bags at the re-check desk in Terminal E. If not then you will have to take your bags with you to United to re-check in Terminal B.

No, they're not on the same reservation, the tickets were bought separately. So I don't think it would work out, I'll definitely have to pick them up and re check them in at terminal B

  • Customs and Terminal E to A, unrelated bookings, 105 minutes?

Arriving via Air France from Paris in terminal E at 6:15 pm (18:15). Departing to Chicago via United in terminal A at 8:00 pm (20:00) on an unrelated booking. No checked bags and we do have Global Entry and TSA Precheck which makes things considerably faster. Will this be enough time?

Correction: United out of Terminal B

With Global Entry and no checked bags I think you can make this if you check in for your United flight online before you leave Paris.

Thanks for the reply. Fingers crossed for on-time arrival from Paris...

We are arriving via SW to Terminal B at 7:40 pm and need to make a connecting flight on Iceland Air in Terminal E, departing at 9:30 pm, final stop is Munich. We will not be checking bags. Have we planned on enough time to make the connection in Boston? Assuming we should walk to the Terminal vs. taking a shuttle bus also. Thanks in advance for advice!

Southwest uses Terminal A. You have just enough time if you hurry and your Southwest flight is on-tiime.
