  • Cape Air Flight Change
    Aug 31, 2016
Hi, my Cape Air flight has now been put back 35 minutes and I now arrive in Boston at 13:20 and have to try to catch my United flight to Newark at 15:05. Will I still have enough time to change terminals and check in luggage ?

Yes, that should still be just enough time if the Cape Air flight arrives on-time.

    Thanks ZAP, appreciate your help.

  • are Term A and B connected behind security?
    Aug 29, 2016
I have a flight out f term A. Friends are in term B. Will I be able to get to term B to say a quick hello/goodbye without going through security twice? (will they even let me into term B if my ticket is for a flight on term A?)

No, you cannot. They are not connected inside security.

  • Will I make my connecting flight?
    Aug 29, 2016
Hi, I am arriving at Boston from an international flight from Panama. The flight however has a leg in Newark so I assume I will be arriving in a domestic terminal (don't know which one). I have a flight from a different company at 21.35 to London Heathrow. I need to pick my bags, recheck them and go through security. Do you think I will have enough time? Thanks!

I don't know. When does your flight arrive in Boston?

  • how do I get from terminal B (united) to terminal C gate 27
    Aug 29, 2016
I will arrive into Terminal B on United and need to depart from Terminal C gate 27 arriving at 5:17 and departing at 6:05 - is that enough time and where do I go?

I think that will be very difficult. Do you have checked bags? What airline are you flying out of Terminal C?

  • Do I have enough time?
    Aug 24, 2016
Hi there I will arriving Boston Logan Terminal E (international) morning 8:00 AM I have domestic flight from Terminal A at 9:30 AM. Do I have enough time when I need to go thorough Immigration (not a US citizen), collect my bag ( 4 bags) re check in go through security and get to terminal A. I will be with my wife and two kids. Would I have enough time to catch my domestic flight at 9:30 AM? Would Appreciate the advise...Thank You!

That is not enough time. On two separate reservations with checked bags you need at least 2.5 hours.

Thank you for saving me from last minute stress... I will make sure I have more than 2.5 h

  • Terminal C to Terminal E
    Aug 23, 2016
Hello, My flight arrives to Terminal C and my next flight departs from Terminal E. We only have 1.5 hours between flights. Will we need to go through security again to access Terminal E?

What airlines are you flying? Are your flights on the same reservation? There is now a walkway inside security between C and E.

I'm flying Icelandair but the first flight is on their partner JetBlue. it is the same reservation. Thanks for the walkway info!

Then you should be able to just walk to your departure gate in Terminal E.

Hi, I posted about my flights from Rome to Baltimore last night. I was able to change my EasyJet flight so I depart the day before, spend the night in Paris, and then fly out to Reykjavik the following day to avoid any possibility of getting stranded in Paris. From there, the only issue is Boston. Should I go through the hassle and pay the change fees, or should I stick with my flights as they are now and hope for the best in Boston? What do you think are my chances of making the Boston connection? Does Icelandair have a good on-time reputation? Thanks

    I do have checked bags.

It's still a very difficult connection in Boston. However, it's not worth paying a change fee as the walkup fare on BOS-BWI on JetBlue, Soutwest, and JetBlue isn't that much. So you can just buy a ticket then if you miss your connection - or you can take Amtrak.

  • A few questions
    Aug 15, 2016
Hi, in April of next year, I will be flying Rome to Baltimore with connections in Paris Orly, Rejkavik, and Boston. I depart with EasyJet from Rome to Paris. I have two hours in Paris, then I continue on with Icelandair to Rejkavik, and again with IcelandAir to Boston after a 1h20m layover at KEF. In Boston, I have 1h40m layover before connecting with Spirit to Baltimore. Can I make these connections? I know the Boston one is tough, but I've tracked the Spirit flight and it's late almost every day. Should I trust that it will be late the day of departure? Also, what is the process with immigration and customs. Do I have to go through immigration in Paris? How about Rejkavik, since I'm just a transit passenger with the same airline for that one? Lastly, if I miss my flight in Paris if my Easyjet flight is late, will they pay for my tickets all the way back to Baltimore or will I be stranded since they are with a different airline? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

You can't "TRUST" that a flight will be late and the check in cutoffs are the same whether a flight is late or not. In Paris you will go through Schengen Exit passport control. In Reykjavik, nothing. If you miss your flight in Paris you will be stranded there. I highly recommend not buying these tickets if you haven't already.

Also, in Boston you will arrive in Terminal E, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, take your bags with you to Terminal B, check your bags with Spirit, go through security, and to your departure gate.

  • Cape Air

I will be arriving in Boston with Cape Air at 12:43 and need to catch a flight to Newark at 15:00. Will I have enough time between flights to change terminals & check bags etc ?

What airline are you flying to Newark? That should be enough time.

The flight to Newark is with United. We've never used Cape Air before so we're not sure of the terminals we need to use.

You will arrive in Terminal B and depart from Terminal C.

  • will we have enough time
    Aug 16, 2016
Hi, we are traveling from Lax on Jet Blue arriving at 7:13 pm in Boston. Then departing on Aer Lingus at 9:00pm to Dublin. Then Dublin to Edinburgh on aer lingus. It is one reservation. Will we have enough time in Boston, and what is the fastest way to get from Jet blue to aer lingus in Boston? Will our bags be checked through to Edinburgh from LAX or will we need to pick up in Boston or Dublin?

Your bags will be checked all the way through, All you have to do in Boston is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time. In Dublin you just go through passport control and to your departure gate.

Hello, Thank you for this forum, I wish every airport had it. So now to add to my story, I broke my foot. Does Bos have one of those carts/people movers/large golf carts (you know the ones that almost run you over in the airports) to take us from one terminal to the other. Where do you get on it or arrange it. (not so interested in wheel chair assistance).

Hello ZAP, did you see my additional question from 8/13/16.

  • how long does it take to get from gate to gate in one terminal?
    Aug 4, 2016
How long does it take to get from gate a gate on the first level of terminal A to one on the 2nd level? I'm flying in from RDU on Mon & my plane is suppose to arrive at terminal A and the also depart from that same terminal to amsterdam. And I only have 20 mins to transfer to the other plane. I'll have the gate numbers on mon. But I would like to have a general idea on how long it takes to get from the lower level of terminal A to the upper level. I don't want to miss my plane

You have just enough time if your flight from RDU is on-time.

  • Layover long enough
    Aug 2, 2016
Hello, 2 US citizens coming in from Stockholm to Logan, then Logan to Chicago - flights were booked separately. Do we need to go through customs at Logan? There is a 1hr15min layover between the 2 flights, is that enough time? Thank you!

Yes, in Boston you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, take your bags to your second airline, check your bags, and go through security. That is NOT enough time. You need to book different flights.

  • Jet Blue to SATA
    Aug 2, 2016
Jet Blue arrives at 7:49PM SATA leaves for the Azores at 10:15PM Which terminals and is this connection possible?

You arrive in Terminal C and depart from Terminal E. Where are you flying from on JetBlue? Are your tickets on two separate reservations or one reservation?

    from San Diego separate tickets

Then that will be a very difficult connection if you have checked bags. You will have to hurry to Terminal 3 with your bags to make it there before the checked bag cutoff.

    Sorry, Terminal E.

  • International connection
    Aug 1, 2016
Hi I am arriving from Copenhagen (Air France) at 12:35 and want to book a flight to Martha's Vineyard at 3:10. Will I have time for customs transfer and getting to flight?

Air France does not fly from Copenhagen to Boston. What airline are you flying to Martha's Vineyard?

Sorry plane change in Paris. So for this purpose, it will be from Paros. As for the vineyard, jet blue

Are your flights on one reservation or two separate reservations? Do you have checked bags?

    Different reservations and checked bag

Then this will be a difficult connection, but not impossible. You will have to transfer your bags yourself from Terminal E to the JetBlue Check-in in Terminal C.

  • SPIRIT Airlines connecting to CAPEAIR
    Jul 29, 2016
Does anyone know what terminal SPIRIT and CAPE AIR use??? I will be flying into BOS on SPIRIT, but need to connect with CAPE AIR and wanted to know how far apart they are!

Spirit uses Terminal B and Cape Air uses Terminal C. They are not connected inside security and if you have checked bags you will have to transfer them yourself between airlines.
