  • Arriving in Terminal C (Aerlingus) & Departing Term C to SEA (Jetblue)
    Oct 12, 2016
Hi i am new to the worderful world of connections. I am travelling with Aerlingus from SNN arriving in Terminal C and connecting in Terminal C to Seattle with Jetblue with a 4h layover. I will have pre-cleared US Customs and Immigration in Shannon. My question is will I have to go through US immigration and through security again prior to my connecting flight to Seattle Tacoma? Or will I be able to remain in the terminal in the departure area? (Im guessing that I will arrive in like a domestic flight in departures given im precleared).

If both tickets are on the same reservation and your bags are checked through to Seattle, all you have to do in Boston is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, like a domestic flight.

  • Flying Jet Blue from NYC to ATL w/ Layover in BOS
    Oct 11, 2016
Flying from NYC to ATL with layover in Boston, arriving at Terminal C and Departing at Terminal C. Once after I arrive in Boston, will I have to go thru security again. Layover is 45 minutes

No, you will not have to go through security again. You have enough time if your flight from New York is on-time.

  • Emirates to Jetblue on a separate ticket
    Oct 10, 2016
DBX/BOS: What's the procedure for clearing immigration & customs, then continuing on a separate ticket for a domestic JetBlue flight? How much time needed? 2h35m enough? Don't want to be rushed & nervous.

You will arrive in Terminal E, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, walk to Terminal C, re-check your bags with JetBlue and go through security. You have just enough time if the Emirates flight is on-time.

  • arriving in terminal E(emirates) &departing thro terminal A(southwest)
    Oct 5, 2016
My wife and 2 yr old are arriving on a sunday 7:40 am on terminal E(emirates) and i'm planning to book their ticket thro southwest (terminal A) departing at 11:00. will it work? or it will take more time for customs and all? and can we get some help moving the luggage from Terminal E to A.

That should be enough time. You will have to take your bags yourself between terminals. There is a shuttle bus.

Thanks! wont there be any paid services to help?

No, there are no such services.

  • ATL-BOS-CPH, terminal terminal A->E
    Sep 30, 2016
Hi I am flying in to Logan with Delta (DL1206) on Wed, arriving to terminal A at 3.24 and I will have to catch a flight to Copenhagen 2 hours later from terminal E. I have no checked baggage and I am quick on the feet (plus is a SAS Diamond card holder). I have 2 hours to catch the connection. Sounds like it should be possible, do you agree? Thanks in advance

It's possible if the first flight is on-time. You'll have to run to Terminal E.

Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You have enough time.

  • Terminal B to Terminal E
    Sep 26, 2016
I will be flying in on United arriving at 7:33 pm in Terminal B. On a separate reservation I will be flying on Sata leaving at 10:15pm out of Terminal E. Will I have enough time to collect my bag and recheck in for the next flight?

That's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I am flying to Dublin ,Ireland on Dec 19th. I used Travelocity and they have me coming into Boston on American Airlines in terminal B and leaving 1hour and 4 minutes later on Aer Lingus from terminal C. Is this reasonable? I questioned them and they said it was fine.

You will have to walk to Terminal C and go through Security. It's doable but doesn't leave much time to spare.

  • Terminal A to Terminal E

We are arriving SW Terminal A. How do we get to Terminal E Hainan Airlines?

You can either take a shuttle bus or it's a long walk.

I will be flying from Lisbon to Orlando with a layover in Boston on January 2nd. Will a 2h Layover be enough to get through customs? Im flying on a J visa

What airlines are you flying? Are your flights on the same reservation or two separate reservations?

  • Entering another terminal before getting on flight

I am flying out of terminal B. Will I be able to go to a lounge in another terminal before my flight?

    No, you can't.

  • Separate flights arriving in A, leaving from E
    Sep 13, 2016
8 of us are coming into Terminal A on a SW flight on Tues morning, 10:55. We have a British Airways flight out of Terminal E that night. From my previous post, I learned that we can't check our baggage with British Airways until after 4:30 PM. Do we have to pick up our luggage from the Southwest flight in Terminal A, then take a shuttle to Terminal E with our luggage? If so, is there somewhere to store the luggage in Terminal E, if we decide to spend some of our layover doing something in Boston? Thanks for the help. I am wondering about the logistics of moving our luggage from point A to Point E.

Yes, you do. There is no baggage storage in Terminal E (or any other terminal in Boston). So you'll have to take your bags with you on any sightseeing you do.

Arriving from Martha's Vineyard then flying to Toronto. I have 1hour 40 mins window to catch the Toronto flight. Is this enough??? I booked separate flights. Thanks.

Scotty, do you have checked baggage? What airlines are you flying?

Hello, I'm traveling from Iceland to Boston arriving at 4:25pm. Will I be able to make it through customs and security again to make a connecting flight to Tampa at 7:10pm? I think that may be cutting it too close and I may need to stay overnight in Boston.

that's just enough time if the flight from iceland is on-time

  • Traveling REK >BOS>IAH
    Sep 8, 2016
Traveling from REK to BOS by WOWair reaching at 5:25PM and taking United at 7:40PM. Is there enough time with a checked luggage. Thanks

With checked baggage that will be fairly difficult, but I won't quite say it's impossible.

  • Flying PIT-> BOS->DXB->HYD
    Sep 8, 2016
The Jetblue flight from Pitsburgh to Boston arrives at Terminal C and the Emirates flight to Dubai is also at terminal C. All tickets on single itinerary so hoping bags will be checked through. I have 1hr 45min at the Boston Airport. Is it enough time? Do I have to go through security again? Is it a long walk within the terminal? Too many questions as I am travelling with a toddler

Yes, your bags will be transferred and all you have to do in Boston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. It is less than a 10 minute walk.
