  • 1h35 Layover enough?

I am traveling from Montreal(AC8458)-Tokyo(JL7) with a 1h35 layover in Boston. All booked on the same ticket. Is this enough time to make my flight to Tokyo, and will my luggage be checked through?

That's barely enough time if your flight from Montreal is on-time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. In Boston you have to change terminals to Terminal E and go through security. Your bags will be transferred for you.

  • Jet blue to Norwegian airlines in 1 hour, carry on only?

Concerned if I will make the Norwegian flight with only a 1 hour layover. Thoughts?

With checked bags that would be impossible. Even without checked bags that will be practically impossible as you will have to go through security again to get to your Norwegian gate.

Thanks. That's what I expected to hear. I will keep searching for an alternate.

What is the best way to get to Terminal A from Terminal B, and vice versa. Flying into Boston on American, heading up to Halifax, Nova Scotia on Delta. How much time should I allow?

The best way is to walk. Without checked bags you need 2 hours, With checked bags I recommend 3 hours. Note that the flight to Halifax will be operated by Westjet Encore, not Delta.

Thank you for your response. My tour company booked me with Delta from Boston to Halifax, so I canceled out with American, and found a Delta flight up to Boston. Now I don't have to change terminals!

  • EMIRATES flight EK237

I am traveling via EMIRATES flight EK237 which is operated by Jet Blue. I have 5 hrs lay over. I am traveling for the 1st time with immigration visa. I have to travel further from Boston to Newark via EMIRATES flight EK6033. Do I have enough time to make connection? How do I go to terminal E to terminal C? Where do I check back baggage? Thanks VM

You have the operating carriers reversed. Flight 273 is operated by Emirates and 6033 is operated by JetBlue. You can re-check your bags immediately after clearing customs in Terminal E. The fastest way to Terminal C is to walk. You have plenty of time.

Arriving in terminal A with 4:40 hours until departure terminal E. Want to meet some family who will come to the airport during the layover is there enough time and what is the best way to do this?

Yes, that is enough time. Just meet them outside security in Terminal A.

I am travelling from LAX to LHR via Boston in August. We have 1 hour 35 minutes from landing to take-off and this will require changing terminals. Is this feasible?

I can't answer your question unless you post what airlines you are flying and if everything is on the same reservation or not.

  • 49 minute layover

I am flying from RDU to BOS via Delta and then BOS to FCO in Italy via Alitalia. There is a 49 minute layover. We will likely have at least one checked bag. Is that enough time for us and our bags to make the second flight? Thanks in advance for your help.

I think this is pretty close to impossible as you will have to go from Terminal A to Terminal E and through security in just 49 minutes.,

  • How much time do I need to make a connecting flight?
    Mar 14, 2016

I am scheduling a connecting flight and will be arriving in Boston from Paris, France in June at 6:10 pm. I found a connecting flight home on American Airlines that departs at 8:30 pm. Will that be enough time to make the connection.

That should be enough time if your flight from Paris is on-time.

  • Transfer from Terminal E to B

My wife will be travelling to Boston and then she has next flight to Pittsburgh inn 5 hrs. My 2 year old daughter is along with her. She has 4 bags. I wish to know how she can move from Terminal E to B? Does the airport has Buses or train which runds between terminals? Will she get trolleys which she can carry from terminal E to B?

There is a bus that runs between all the terminals. If her bags are checked through to her final destination then she can re-check the at the re-check desk in E after clearing customs and won't have to bring them to B.

Thanks. Usually they the airline will check in the luggage till the port of entry. Can I ask them to check in till the final destination? Till Boston the airline is Qatar airways and then it's American.

If the tickets are on the same reservation then the bags will be checked through to the final destination but she will still have to claim them to go through US Customs in Boston.

Arrive July 16 at noon on Icelandic Need to go domestic to Savannah ha Can fly anybody Suggestion and time needed to make connection

I wouldn't book anything before 2:30 PM if you have checked baggage. Maybe 2 PM would be possible without checked bags.

I am flying from Portland Oregon on American airlines then I have a connecting flight on Alaska airlines do I need to go through security again

I think you have your airlines reversed. Alaska flies from Portland to Boston. Yes, you will arrive in Terminal C on your Alaska flight and your American flight will depart from Terminal B. So you will have to go through security.

We already booked an Air Berlin flight from Zurich, scheduled to land in Boston at 3:30 p.m. We need to book a flight from Boston to Chicago the same night. What time should we schedule the Chicago flight? It will be on a separate reservation than the AirBerlin flight. We aren't planning to check bags, but might have to. Would a flight that leaves at 5:59 p.m. give us enough time? Or should we wait until a 7 p.m. flight?

I would book the 7 PM one just to be safe.

Awesome, thank you! I probably should have mentioned Chicago is home -- will it make any difference if we have a U.S. passport? Also, I have a second question: We already booked outbound tickets to Rome too, the flight leaves from Boston on Norwegian Air at 9:20 p.m. How early should we arrive in Boston from Chicago to fly out to Rome? I'm debating between flights that arrive in Boston at 3:06 p.m. or 4:40 p.m. Thanks!
