I am traveling from JFK to LHR arriving at 6:50 AM. Do I have time to go through customs and catch an Aer Lingus flight at 9:30 AM or should I catch the 1:50 PM flight instead.

I think it would be difficult. All flights from JFK arrive in Terminal 3 or Terminal 5 while Aer Lingus uses Terminal 2. So you'd have to change terminals, which at LHR can be quite time consuming. It's possible, but I think just barely.

I'm off from Manchester (MAN) to Washington (IAD) and want to know if one hour is enough time to connect as it may be between satellites. I'm taking the A380 (just so you know)

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • Does a British Air flight, LHR to Madrid operated by Iberia

Arriving on a BA flight from the USA, connecting on a BA-numbered flight operated by Iberia to Madrid: does this second flight depart from Terminal 5, and if so is a 1 hr 30 min layover enough time?

Hi. I have 2 separate tickets for KL to London (Emirates) and London to Detroit (Delta) and will need to connect from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4. If I cannot check through my luggage from KL to Detroit, how long of a transit time would I need to go through immigration, collect my luggage from Terminal 3, make my way to Terminal 4 and etc? What would the whole process be like? Thank you.

I will be arriving at London Heatrow on LH2472 coming from Munich on March 15th. I have only 50 minutes to catch my next Flight in Terminal 2 on UA 801. How do I do it. Sometimes the LH arrives in the same Terminal. but not allways.

I'm landing @ LHR on February 23, 2015 in T5. I have a 23h stopover as I plan to go into London's West End to see a show. I would like to know if there are showers and how much it costs, so I can freshen up and change before going into London. Thank you in advance, Solomon Weiser

PS both my landing on the 23rd and departing on the 24th are with BA and in T5. Will in need to baggage claim before I head into London for the day?

Is there someplace I can put my carryon while I'm in London and how much does it cost?

If you take Heathrow Connect or Heathrow Express to Paddington station there is luggage storage (called "left luggage") located at Platform 12.

I have a flight on 19feb2015 from Dubai to cayman island through LHR, Dubai-LHR via Iberia flight 4664 (operated by British airways)and LHR-nassau(Bahamas)-cayman(GCM) Via British Airways flight 253 Take-off DXB Thursday 15.20 LHR Thursday 19.20 will be layover in London 14hours 30mnt I booked this ticket connection flight and take-off LHR Friday 9.50am landing GCM Friday 5.30pm NOTE: Flight BA 253 has following stops Arrive 20 feb 2.55pm NASSAU INTERNATIONAL APT,BS(NAS) Depart 20 feb 3.55pm So my questions: - Do I need transit visa about this flight(I am indonesia passport)? - Do you have idea about this terminal?which terminal both this flight will be? - Do I to go through security or UK immigration or claim and re-check my baggage?or my baggage will transfer to next flight - where I can stay within 14hours layover?is it fine if I sleep in terminal heathrow? Appreciated if you can answer my question one by one thank you so much

Both flights in London will be in Terminal 5. As long as you purchased all your tickets together and are staying in the Airside area and do not cross UK Border Control, you do not need a Transit Visa. However, if you did purchase separate tickets you will need a Transit Visa. If you purchased your tickets together your baggage should be transferred automatically and you should not have to go through UK Border control.

I have a flight from Vienna to Chicago through LHR. Arriving at terminal 3, departing from T5. What do i have to do to get on the right flight? do i have to go through security or UK immigration, or claim and re-check my baggage?

DId you buy your tickets separately or together? What airlines are you flying?

I bought them together, and its british airlines to london and then american airlines to chicago

You have the terminals reversed. You will arrive in T5 and depart from T3. There is a bus that will take you from T5 to T3. You will go through security in T3 and if you need to get your AA boarding passes you can get them at that time as well.

Actually I double checked and both flights should be in Terminal 3. your connection will be quite easy.

Tkanks a lot, i've already checked-in online and i definitely arrive in T3 (BA) and depart from T5 (AA). But thanks anyway, i wasn't sure in which term. i go thru security..

I arrive London Heathrow from Madrid at 0950 (dont know which terminal) and leave terminal 5 at 1120 for Chicago. Is there time time for this connection (ie 1hr 30 ) and do i have to go thro security again.

This question can't be answered unless we know what airlines you are flying

Hi Zap sorry about that - Flt American 8816 operated by Iberia from Madrid to LHR dep 0820 arr 0950 and then Flt American 6195 operated by BA dep LHR 1120 arr O'Hare 1345.

Both flights will be in Terminal 5. Yes you will have to go through security but you will not have to go through UK Immigration.

Once many thanks for your excellent input - just one thing more will we have enough time for the connection at Heathrow ?

I have a flight with UA, from LRH to MCO and it stops of IDA. The stop over time is 1hour 14minutes. Will this be enough time? What do i have to do to get on the right flight?

1 hr 14 mins is not sufficient for an International -> Domestic transfer at IAD. It's possible, but it's below the minimum connection time. You arrive in the C/D concourse at IAD, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, and re-check your bags with United, then go through security and back to your departure gate which will also be on C/D. You should contact whoever you booked this ticket from, notify them that it is an improperly short connection, and ask to be rebooked on a later flight to MCO or an earlier flight to IAD.

Flight from Chicago arrives at LHR at 7:50, departs for St Petersburg, Russia, at 9:20. Is it enough time to make connection?

    What airlines are you flying?

    British airways both flights

Yes, that should be enough time. You will not have to go through UK Immigration for your transfer. http://www.heathrowairport.com/heathrow-airport-guide/flight-connections/terminal-5-international-connecting-to-terminal-5-international
