Long-Distance Vans
Roadrunner Shuttle - a long-distance door-to-door van company - travels to Simi Valley (about 44 miles, northwest of LAX), and to Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties (both northwest of LAX). Shared Ride Vans
Prime Time Shuttle (800-473-3743) and SuperShuttle (310-782-6600) are shared ride van companies, authorized to serve all Southern California counties. These vans pick up passengers on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal under the orange sign Shared Ride Vans.
LAX Hotel Shuttles Many hotels around Los Angeles Airport offer complimentary shuttle service to/from their facility. In most cases, hotel shuttles are located outside of LAX airport baggage claim.
Many major airport-area hotels and privately operated parking lots provide courtesy transportation from LAX terminals. Stops for trams and shuttles for hotels and privately operated parking lots are located on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal under the red sign Hotel & Parking Lot Shuttles.
LAX Inter-terminal Shuttles Intra-terminal shuttles provide free connections between terminals as well as to parking and rental car facilities. Free shuttle service to airline terminals 7 days/24 hrs from Lots B and C.
Perimeter parking Lot C, NE of airport, also features Metropolitan Transportation Authority Bus Center, connecting public bus systems with the courtesy LAX shuttle bus service provided by the airport.
Lot C (96th Street and Sepulveda Boulevard)
To get to and from airline terminals, take the free LAX Shuttle marked C-Airport Parking, 96th Street.
Lot B (111th Street & La Cienega Boulevard)
To get to and from airline terminals, take the free LAX Shuttle marked B-Airport Parking, 111th Street.
Hotel and Parking Lot Shuttles:
Many major airport-area hotels and privately operated parking lots provide courtesy transportation from LAX terminals. Stops for trams and shuttles for hotels and privately operated parking lots are located on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal under the red sign Hotel & Parking Lot Shuttles.
Note: All inbound buses and vans, plus the LAX shuttles, unload on the Upper/Departure Level. Frequent, free shuttle service is provided between terminals (approximately every 12 to 15 minutes, 24 hours a day) assist travelers in getting from one terminal to another to make airline connections. To use this service, travelers should board the Airline Connections "A" Shuttle under the LAX Shuttle & Airline Connections blue sign on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal.
Shuttle van/limo Tipping Etiquette:
Shared ride shuttles: if you’re taking bags and the driver helps you loading/unloading them, its appropriate to give the driver a few bucks for his/her efforts.
Sedans/limos: the most appropriate form of tipping is a percentage of the fare, usually around 15%. Drivers derive much of their income from tips and usually deserve a gratuity if their service was satisfactory.
