I'll be landing at lax from London at 5:30 pm then have a flight from lax to Pdx via delta airlines leaving at 7:55 pm. Will there be enough time to go through customs, retrieve luggage and get to the delta gate ?
Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly and is on the same reservation.
Hi All,
Im conerning my case:
I'm flying with American Ảirlines from IAD to LAX arriving at 9:30pm and departing from LAX to HK with Cathay Pacific Airlines at 11:30pm. The thing I much worry is that when I arrived LAX I coundnt find customs to get stamped exit and went straight to departure gate to leave the US.
I mean if I didnt do the customs clearance in LAX and will I be stopped when travelling the US in next time???
Your advice is much appreciate
The US does not issue exit stamps. There is no US Customs when exiting the US. Cathay will check your passport when you board the aircraft and has your passport # on record and will report to the US Immigration authorities that you left the country.
Hello, I will be flying into LAX via United and then flying out of LAX via Qantas on my way to Australia. Do I need to get my checked bags at baggage claim from United and then re-check them on Qantas or will they be transported through to my final destination?
just wanted to check if APC machines for ESTA users are available in LAX terminal 2 now?
I don't know, they said that all terminals with Immigration would be getting them, and I believe Terminal 2 was second in line after the International Terminal, so I'd say probably, but I'm not sure. I can't find any confirmation online.
Hi, I am planning to fly from Toronto, Canada to Tokyo with a stopover at LAX. The incoming flight is Air Canada (Terminal 2 at LAX) and the departing flight is All Nippon Airways (Terminal TBIT at LAX). The time to connect is 90 mins. Is this enough time and do I have to checkout and recheck-in my bags at LA?
Thanks.
If both flights are on the same reservation you won't have to do anything with your bags in LAX. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. In LAX All you have to do is exit Terminal 2, walk to the International Terminal and go through security. You should have enough time.
I am flying in from Mexico, do I need to go through customs again before boarding an ongoing flight?
1 Hour is not enough time for your connection. You need to get an earlier flight from Venice. It can take a half hour to get from T1 where you arrive to T5 where you need to check in for your United flight. By the time you get there, you will have missed the bag and check-in cutoff time.
Hi. I'm going to be flying in from SFO to LAX on Virgin American around 5:45. And then i have another flight from LAX to PHX on Southwest Airline at 8:15. I'm worried that I might not make it to the terminal because these two flights are not connected.
How long will baggage claim take if I'm flying domestic? and do you think I'll make it to southwest and catch my flight on time?
You should have enough time. Your bags will probably be out within 20 minutes of arrival. It's about a 10-15 minute walk along the curbfront from T3 to T1 (walk to the left, against the flow of traffic).
