  • Get from Terminal 2 to Terminal 7

I depart from Terminal 2 and arriving back at Terminal 7 a few days later. Where is the best place to park and how do I get from Term 7 to Term 2 and my car?

I suggest that on arrival at LAX, you park at Garage P1 across from Terminal 1, and walk over to T2 for your departure flight. Back to LAX, on arrival at T7 - Garage P7 is right across from it and has a connector to the smaller Garage 1. (T1 & T7 are on opposite sides, with P1 & & 7 in the center.

I'm moving to LA and will be working at an airport (LAX) hotel. I'll have early, late, and weekend hours and I won't have a car. What bus or other public transit options are there for me to live in a reasonably close and decent place? Can I live anywhere in or near Santa Monica and make that work?

Congratulations on your new start! While I cannot suggest a 'dencent place' to live (my advice would be to rent a close-by motel for a week, make inquiries with your co-workers and look for a place to live when time allows. If you want to settle in Santa Monica, you can take the Big Blue Bus tel. weekdays 310-451-54444; (visit bigbluebus.com); The Culver City Bus shows an excellent map of the LA area, including the Airport (visit culvercity.org/Government/Transpotation/bus.aspx) NOTE: At LAX Shuttles, scheduled buses & Long-Distance Vans & buses available on lower/ arrivals level islands in front of each terminal under the 'LAX Shuttle & Airline Connections' sign): (a) for Terminal to terminal connection, use the A Route; (b) to get to the Metro Bus Center with connections to LA area, take the C Route; (c) to Metro Green Line Aviation Station, take the G route. Furthermore LAX is served by 2 shared ride vans: Prime Time Shuttle and SuperShuttle, operate out of LAX and are authorized to serve all Southern California counties. Good luck on your new adventure!

I am arriving into Lax at 1445h and wish to transfer to Hilton San Diego. Please advise ground transport.

At LAX, take the LAX FlyAway bus to Los Angeles Union Station - look for the green sign in front of your terminal. From there take the train via COASTER or Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner to the Amtrak's Santa Fe Depot train station at downtown San Diego, and from there take a taxi or call the Hilton for their shuttle service.

What is the cheapest way to get my family from LAX to the JW Marriott with a member using a power wheelchair? One private place told us it would cost $350 for both ways. Can't afford that.

I suggest you open http://www.marriott.com/hotels/maps/travel/laxap-los-angeles-airport-marriott/ - this is the closest Marriott Hotel to the Airport - tel. 1-310-641-5700 - it is 1.4 miles from the Airport - You may even be able to use the power wheelchair to get there as it is on West Century Blvd leading straight into the Airport. Do inquire on arrival at the information counter.

i need to find bus to san diego ca. or how to rich city buses to san diego

You can take the train from Los Angeles to San Diego 's Santa Fe Depot via the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and the Coaster. While Amtrak offers 12 daily round trips (buy tickets at Amtrak station) - the Coaster only runs Mon-Sat, and not on major Holidays. For more information call Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL or visit 'Amtrak California'; or call 1-800-262-7837 for Coaster or visit gonctd.com. From the Santa Fe Depot you can connect by bus to San Diego Airport via Metrobus (tel. 619-557-4555 or visit sdmts.com), Route 992, stopping at all 3 terminals. At LAX take the Metropolitan Express bus to Union Station.

Is there any bus or light rail service to Santa Monica?

Would that help: use the MetroLine via the G route shuttle. Then connect to SM. Or use vans of Prime Time Shuttle or SuperShuttle, which operate out of LAX and are authorized to serve all Southern California counties, and pick up passengers on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal under the orange sign Shared Ride Vans.

Do you know any public transportation from Los Angeles Int'l Airport to Ontario Airport? Please give me information/link.

Two shared ride van companies, Prime Time Shuttle and SuperShuttle, operate out of LAX and are authorized to serve all Southern California counties, and pick up passengers on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal under the orange sign Shared Ride Vans.

  • Time needed for flight change

Hey Team, Was wondering how much time i need to allow in order to switch from an international flight to a domestic flight in LAX.

LAX has 9 Terminals arranged in a U-shape around the parking facilities. 'TBIT' (Tom Bradley International Terminal) is at the inside curve; T3, T2 & T1 on one side, and T4 - T8 are on the opposite side. The LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection' runs every 12-15 mins. – starting from TBIT; the next stops are at T4 –T8, it then goes on to T1, T2, T3 and back to TBIT. Count about 3 mins for each terminal stop.
