Hi - does anyone know if you can purchase Duty Free goods at LAX when you land? Basically duty free on arrival as opposed to departure.

    No, you can't.

Can I purchase alchohol in the duty free store, after security, and take it on the plane with me. Flying Air Tahiti Nui to Tahiti. Will it be delivered to the plane or do I take it with me on the plane?

Yes, you get to take after-security duty free purchases with you.

I am a Canadian flying from LA to Vancouver, then onto Regina. The AIR CANADA agent told me I could not buy duty free licquer because my luggage was being checked through to Regina and I would not be able to carry the licquer onto the plane from Van to Regina. I told her that the normal procedure is to pick up your luggage in Van and then go through customs where you can then place your liquer into your checked luggage. ( she was rude when I suggested she had it wrong). Based what she said we did no buy the licquer. When we arrived in Van. a AC agent said we had to pick up our luggage. We said it was going straight through to Regina and he said no. He also told us that the AC agents in LA have been told on numerous occasions that they have it wrong. He said there a lot of people coming from Hawaii, Australia etc. to LA and are being told the wrong information and therfore missing out on duty free liquer.

Is there Tiffany store at LAX?

No. High end retailers tend not to be located at airports in the United States as Americans do not view airports as a place to shop for things except the essentials and only recently has the US become an inexpensive place for foreigners to shop.

Mcdonalds Terminal 1: Starving and rushed for my plane I ordered a chicken sandwich combo before boarding at Gate 14. The manager gazed at me from the fryer and said to me "please be patient the fry's aren't done yet". I said no problem may I have my sweet tea while I wait... certainly he said... After a few minutes the fries were done and I was all set... I quickly asked if I could get my tea topped off before I go as I had finished almost half while waiting and he smiled and said... So sorry... we don't do refills! I tried to share my concern but it fell on deaf ears - didn't have time to wait so I glared as Dr. devilish as I could and thanked him, and told him that its obvious how much he loves his job!

    You did the right thing.

You did the right thing. That McDonalds loser should have had his grease hot before he opened.

Hello, I will be arriving in LAX Terminal 4 with AA and my next flight is an international flight. I'd like to buy some pipe tobacco like Davidoff and Sillem's, so I am wondering if the DFS in Terminal 4 would have those products? Do you have their phone number? Thank you very much!

  • Connecting flight from AA to Eva Airline

Hello!! I will be arriving in LAX terminal 4 and have to get on to Eva Airways terminal B.... Could you tell me the easiest way for me to get to Eva and how far is it from Terminal 4 to Terminal B b/c I only have less than an hour to get to my connecting flight.

While you have 2 choices to get from LAX's Terminals 4 to 8, you need to exit T4 in either case: (a) walking: Walk to T5 to the right, take escalator down to the tunnel connecting T5, 6 & 7; exit T7 and use walkway to T8. (b) Shuttle: Take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. - 4 stops taking 10 mins. (At T8 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate.

I arrive at Terminal 6 and my next flight ( national flight ) is from terminal 8., 1 hour later. My airline does not transfer my bags. Is it possible? How must I do it precisely if I want to do it as quick as possible? Thanks

Yes unfortunately airlines not belonging to the same alliance, or without co-agreement with the other airline can refuse baggage transfer. It is always a good idea to either consult the airlines' website prior to making reservations or find out at the check-in counter whether your airline transfers. After arrival at LAX in Terminal 6 and claiming your bags, you need to take either: (a) the tunnel to T7, exit T7 and take the walkway to T8 - or (b) exit T6 and catch the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. and takes about 5 mins. With more than one bag, you need to opt for (a) - using either a baggage trolley or a skycap.
