Help for traveling in LAMay 23, 201320Is Lufthansa airlines in the Bradley international terminal? And if I have someone meeting me there where would be the best place to meet? And if we have to transfer to Southwest what is the best way Thanks in advanceLaurieposted on Thu, May 23[ Reply ][ Like ]Lufthansa does use the Tom Bradley International Terminal. To transfer to Southwest you can either take the airline connections bus on the lower level or take a somewhat long walk clockwise around the circle (opposite the flow of traffic). I would budget at least 3 hours between the scheduled arrival of the Lufthansa flight and a scheduled departure on Southwest.ZAPposted on Thu, May 231. At LAX, Lufthansa uses Bradley (TBIT or TB) terminal, while Southwest uses Terminal 1. The Bradley terminal is in the center of the U-shaped terminal arrangement (at left Terminals 3, 2, 1, at right Terminals 4 to 8, served by the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins - next stops T4 through T8, then over to T1 - 6 stops or about 15 mins. International arrivals need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & (if LH will transfer bags to SW), re-check in bags where indicated - if not take bags to connecting T1 and check them in with SW). At T1 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate. You can meet at either TBIT or T1 in the Arrivals Hall, near the information center.thmay13posted on Thu, May 23

no monorail, why?May 20, 201320The existing airport terminal shuttle buses are too slow, because they get stuck in traffic. Why is there no monorail or dedicated train to get travelers to connecting flights? I have been through this airport multiple times. The buses cannot get me to the connecting flight on time, so I need to sprint from terminal to terminal, especially when the computer systems at Customer Border Control are down and Customs holds passengers in the hallways and refuse to process them for 1+ hours.travelerposted on Sun, May 19Because such a system would cost Hundreds of Millions of dollars and LAWA doesn't have that kind of money to spend.ZAPposted on Sun, May 19Newest developments regarding LAX terminal transfers: The Los Angeles City Council has given a green light to a planned massive reconstruction of LAX, involving relocation of a runway, adding a light-rail station linked to the city's public transit system and to the terminals by an elevated people mover, as well as the eventual demolition of Terminals 1, 2 & 3. No time frame has yet been announced.momay13posted on Mon, May 20

2 hours between Tom Bradley and..May 19, 201320I arrive from Sydney at LAX 9:30am at Tom Bradley and depart for quito, ecuador with United Air at 11:30am is this enough time?Samposted on Fri, May 17As an international arrival at LAX, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag. MAKE SURE that your first airline will transfer bags to your United connection - if not, you would need to take your bag along to your connecting terminal and check it in there. After customs clearance, exit Bradley Terminal and take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Starting from Bradley, the next stops are at Terminals T4, T5, T6, T7 - taking 9-12 mins. United uses both T6 (gates 60-67) & T7 (gates 70-77). Note that on arrival at either T6 or T7 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate. Your time should suffice.samay13posted on Sat, May 18

Tight connection????May 12, 201310We are arriving at 7:30am on a Friday morning on a Virgin Australia flight into terminal 5, with a connecting Delta flight at 10:05am from terminal 5. Will 2 hours and 35 minutes be enough to make this connection?SBposted on Sun, May 12Internatinal arrivals at LAX need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag; thereafter proceed to the Departure level, go through security check. Across frothe duty-free shop in the gateway area are gates 51-59, divided into clusters of 50A -51B gates, 52A -53B gates and 54A -59 gates. You have plenty of time.sumay13posted on Sun, May 12

Minimum changeover timesMay 9, 201320We are 4 people arriving in LA from melbourne on qantas at 6.35am, flying to Mexico City on Aeromexico and want to change our 2.00pm flight to an earlier flight. What would the minimum changeover time be given customs etc.Hebiposted on Thu, May 9I would be comfortable booking a flight out after 9 AM. Aeromexico appears to have a 9:53 AM flight that looks quite doable.ZAPposted on Thu, May 9On arrival at LAX, you need to to through passport check, pick up your bags and go through customs clearance - allot 1 hr. If Qantas transfers your bags to Aeromexico flight (check with Qantas), you simply re-check in your bags - if not, you need to take your bags along and check them in at Terminal 5 (add 20 mins). While Qantas uses both Terminals T4 & the Bradley terminal (TBIT or TB), Aeromexico uses Terminal 5. If arriving at TBIT, exit the terminal and walk to the right to T4 and adjacent T5 where you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate (a 10-min. walk). (Alternatively, you could take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins.)thmay13posted on Thu, May 9

BarryApr 22, 201310Flying qantas from Brisbane to Vancouver layover 3hours in LAX. Continuing code share with Alaska airlines to Vancouver. Will qantas do seat allocation for the alaska airlines or do i have to get that at ALaska Airlines at LAXSeatsposted on Fri, Apr 19Hey Mate, No Qantas wont do the seat allocation for you online. Your preferences will be forward to AS but that is all. If you LAX-YVR was with Alaskan ticket number you can pick seats that way, though I assume you have a qantas ticket the whole way though. When you are at the gate, listen for your name as usually they want to see your passport again and sometimes will issue you with an AS boarding pass. This can be avoided if you go to the AS counter when at Terminal 6 (if can be bothered).Aus_Damoposted on Mon, Apr 22

arriving in lax with bikeApr 18, 201332im arriving with qantas at bradley terminal, i go through imigration then grab bag and bike box then go to customs after customs can i put my bag and bike box on conveyer after customs or do i have to bring it to my connection flight with alaska airlines to vancouver? and how far is it from bag pick up to customs? as i know if i can drag my box that distance... on way back i fly with alaska airline from vancouver to lax with connecting flight with qantas to australia through bradley do i need to go through immigration and customs at lax and do i have to grab my bag and bike box in lax before i go to connection flight? thanksrickposted on Thu, Apr 18There will be a re-check in Bradley. On the way back you will pre-clear US immigration in Vancouver. Then just have to go to the bradley terminal with yourself and your carry-ons.ZAPposted on Thu, Apr 181 person likes this post [ Like ]How far is bag pick up to customs in lax? Can I drag a bike box or do I need a cart? And how much is the cart and what notes or coins do they take? ThanksRickposted on Thu, Apr 18Usually the walk from the intl baggage claim to the customs counter to re-check isn't very far. I've never been through immigration in the TBIT so I can't tell you for sure if there are carts available or not. If there are they would take U.S. Currency (quarters and probably small bills) and possibly Credit Cards.ZAPposted on Thu, Apr 181 person likes this post [ Like ]
