Hi - realised I may have made a mistake and pay to amend my flights.
My worry is that a Virgin Atlantic flight booked to arrive at 16.10 (T3) and fly our with Hawaiian Air at 18.05 (T5?). I'm thinking it's not enough time to clear immigration (as non-US) collect bags, check in at Hawaiian, clear TSA in 1hr 55m. Feel like it was a rookie error.
Have a United airlines flight arriving at LAX Terminal 6 and have to catch a connecting United flight to Melbourne from Terminal 7 with just over 1 hour layover. Do I have to re-clear security or will this time be long enough?
Thanks!
United no longer uses Terminal 6. You don't have to go through security again, just walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Thanks! Realized the flight landing at Terminal 6 is code shared with Air Canada so maybe that's why?
Hi, I recently found a flight with the following Itinerary:

Aug 31, 2017 7:00pm to 9:00pm
From Tampa Intl. (TPA) To Los Angeles
Intl. (LAX) Korean Air 7476 operated by Delta

Layover 2h 50m stop in Los
Angeles (LAX)

11:50pm to 4:35am +1 day Overnight arrives on Sat, Sep 2
From Los Angeles Intl. (LAX) To Incheon Intl. (ICN) Korean Air 12

I have a few question regarding the above schedule

1. If I have checked in baggage, will they be transferred through automatically or I have to retrieve them and check in again at Lax?
2.What happens if I can't make
the connecting flight due to a delay on the Delta flight? Does Delta
finding me an alternative flight since the Delay was on the Delta End?
3. And is the layover time enough to make the transfer from one terminal to another in LAX, especially since I have to get out of the terminal 2/3 security and walk to Terminal B?

Thanks
Yes, your bags will be transferred automatically. If you miss the connection you will be booked on the next day or evening's flight to Seoul. The layover is plenty of time.
Arriving LAX 9:35pm on Delta 1682, departing 11:50pm Delta 6794 (operated by Virgin Australia). Would that flight depart from TBIT? If yes, is there enough time between flights. Do we have to go through security if we depart from TBIT? Thank you.
Yes, Virgin Australia flights depart from the TBIT. Delta operates a shuttle bus inside security from their gates in Terminals 2 and 3 to the TBIT. You have plenty of time.
Flights I am looking at are both Delta but gives me only 1 hr 1 min connection time in LAX. Coming in from Orlando going out to Sydney Australia..... seems like not much time but as Delta are offering the flight I am wondering if they know it is a super easy connection or something.
Any request users of these flights?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in LAX is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
My flight will arrive at T6 and I have to connect to an international flight at TBIT. Have 90 minutes to accomplish this. What is the best way to get from T6 to TBIT? Thanks.
The best way is walking. If your bags are being automatically transferred you can walk inside security from T6 to the TBIT using underground tunnels to T4 and then the connector building to the TBIT.
We have a single BA ticket and are Arriving TBIT on BA with checked bags --connecting to Alaska T6: is there a re-check desk in TBIT? If so, does one clear TSA again at TBIT? If not, does one just walk over to T6 and check bags in at normal departure desks and then go through TSA at T6? (We have GLobal entry and TSA Pre-check.) thanks!
Yes, there is a re-check desk and security re-clearance in TBIT after which you can use the connector building and tunnels to get to T6.
Thanks very much!
Arriving from Melbourne, Australia in August at 9am at Tom Bradley and need to catch Westjet flight to Canada at 11:45am at T3, can this be done in the tight timeframe?
That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
I am flying from Minneapolis to Manila. For me, there is not directly flight and the only way to actually get there is for me to use two separate airlines not on the same itinerary. That said, in my past travels on this trip, I have never brought a carryon. I have some understanding and learned how to avoid the security lines at LAX on the layover. But since the flight from MSP to LAX is first, can I retrieve my checked in bag, and go to the Philippine Air counter to check it in and bypass the security line? Or can I retrieve it and check it in at the gate? In other words, if I retrieve checked in baggage, can I avoid security again, by taking the tunnels between gates? Thanks.
You have to exit security to claim and bag and re-check it. So you will have to go through security again in the International Terminal after you check the bag.
Flying AA from Wash DC to LAX then layover of 2.20 hrs to catch international flight to Manila
Is this enough time to get through customs/immigration, assuming no delays on first leg of DC to LA?
There is no US Customs or Immigration when leaving the US. What airline are you flying to Manila?
PAL....Philippine airlines
I guess I meant security
Unless you are transferring bags between airlines or aren't checked into your PAL flight you don't even have to go through security. There is a connector building between T4 and the International Terminal inside security.
Thank you, and if I neef to collect and check in baggage, will I be pressed for time?
Yes, that will make it difficult, but not impossible.
