I arrivingin nov 2 from Manila in Philippines airlines at 20.00 hrs. and have a connection fly with Alaska airlines going to Portland at Nov 3, 6:30 am what can i do?

    1. You arrive at LAX at the TBIT (or TB) terminal and depart from Terminal 3. 2. An an international arrival at LAX Airport you need to first go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance, then re-check-in your properly tagged (with codes of all 3 airports) bags (your bags will automatically arrive in Portland.) Even though LAX has nearly 50 hotel/motels located right on-Airport property and the Tom Bradley terminal offers free phone boards in the baggage area, connecting to hotels/motels, many of which offer free shuttle services, you may also be able to stay overnight at the Airport. In the morning you can proceed to Terminal 3 by using the secure connector (T3 is to the left of Tom Bradley terminal).

  • getting from terminal 8 to Bradley inter

hi, I arrive at T8 18.30 from San Luis Obispo. I need to get to international terminal for 20.40 departure to UK. do I have enough time to get to terminal, chck in and thru security in time ? Will my bags be checked straight thru from United to BA ? tHANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

First of all - you have plenty of time! The 9 terminals at LAX are arranged in a horseshoe formation, with TBIT, the international terminal, also referred to as Tom Bradley terminal, is in the curve, with T4-T8 to the right and T3-T1 to the left. You need to take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops after T8 are T1, T2, T3 and TBIT - 4 stops - 10 minutes. At TBIT you need to go through security again. Thereafter enjoy what the terminal offers and be at the gate area no later than 30 mins. prior to scheduled departure.

I will be arriving into LAX from Maui @ 5:35 am into terminal 7 & have to depart to Vancouver Canada @ 7:00 am out of Terminal 2. How do I get to terminal 2 & will I have enough time to get there (ie: customs entry etc?)

    1. Only international arrivals to the U.S. need to go through customs. 2. Upon arrival, exit T7 and catch the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stop is T8, T1, & T2 (3 stops - about 5-7 mins.) 3. Make sure your bag tags indicate all three airport codes, so that they arrive safely in Vancouver.

How long does it take to get from T4 to T6 and is it too long of a walk for someone with a weak knee?

Take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. For the 2 stops count on 5 mins transfer time. You need to go through security check when arriving at T6.

Arriving at terminal 3 from Vancouver BC Canada on Alaskan Airlines. If you have cleared US customs at your home airport. do you need to do it again in Lax, also do you need to do another security check when transferring to the Tom Bradley Int Terminal? Is 4 hours enough time to transfer between terminals and planes?

I'm going to take alaska from Portland to LaX, then transfer to UA to back to Japan. The arrival time of alaska is gonna be 9:10 am, the departing time of UA will be 11:37 am. Do I have enough time to do this transfer ?

Yes time will be enough. Note that you will arrive at T3, where you will have to take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of T3, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops are: TBIT, T4, T5 & T6 (4 stops - about 10 mins.) At T6 you need to go through security check & to your gate (T6 has gates 60-67).

hi flying in from chicago on AA to term 3 then trans to air pacific for n.z. ticket says to go to terminal B ??

Terminal B is the Tom Bradley International Terminal, also called TBIT. It's the next terminal to the right, inside the curve. A secure connector at T3 takes you inside the terminal to your gates at TBIT.

Meeting a friend at LAX Int Terminal - Is food court accessible to visitors or just passengers?

According to LAX map the food court is on the upper level (above departures level) which security control. However, there's a Bistro in the Arrivals level.

    Just answer YES or NO

I'm flying into to LAX via westjet. Arrive at terminal 2 at 6:41. Got to a United flight from to SFO from gate 70B at 8:36. I've got carry on only. Will this be an easy connection?

You arrive at T2 and depart from T7. You need to take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of T2, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. You next stops are T3, TBIT, T4, 5, 6 & 7: six stops - count on 15 minutes for the stops.

    Have ONE reservation.SJC TUS

Presuming you lv SJC, and change planes in LAX to TUS - you may have to change terminals at LAX (which has 9 terminals - TBIT in the middle, 4-8 to the right, 3-1 to the left), depending which airline you take (look at your ticket). 1. A secure connection is now available between the TBIT & Terminals 3 & 4 at each side of it. 2. Terminals 5, 6 & 7 are connected by tunnel, and Terminal 7 has a walkway to Satellite/T8 and Terminal 6. 3. LAX's terminals are arranged in a U-shape, served by the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Starting from TBIT, the next stops are at T4 through T8, it then goes on to the opposite side with T1, T2, T3 and back to TBIT. Count on 3 minutes for each stop.

  • V Australia to American

Hi, flying to the States in November and we arrive at LAX at 6.30am in the morning from Australia, and have a connecting flight at 9.30 on American airlines. Will this be enough time to clear customs, immigration and get to the American flight. I believe V Australia are changing terminals in LAX in November, which probably means more security screens.

    1. You have plenty of time. If you use Qantas, you would arrive and depart at LAX from the same terminal, which is T4. Note that after customs clearance you have to re-check-in your bags, which should be properly tagged to your end destination). If you do not take Qantas, you will arrive at TBIT, the international terminal, which is next to T4 and has a connection to it.

I have 1 hour to go from T-5 and get on plane departing from T-1...will have only carry on. Quickest way please

There's only one option: Board the blue-marked LAX bus route A on lower arrivals level island in front of T5 under sign 'LAX Shuttle Airline Connection", which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops are T6, 7, 8, and over to T1. 4 stops - about 10 mins at most.

We are arriving on an internal flights, with a domestic connection 6 hours later. Any suggestions as to lounge facilities etc to fill in this time?

The Arrivals Levels of all terminals have interactive visitor's centers & Traveler's Aid. Furthermore, The Tom Bradley Terminal offers VIP Lounges South (4th floor Sky Team, 5th Floor Star Alliance), and VIP Lounge North (4th floor L.A. Internat'l Lounge, 5th floor 'Oneworld' Alliance. An escalator from the center will take you to the Food Court, Upper Level, which includes the reLAX Lounge.

Hi. I am flying out from terminal 4 and want to park my car across the terminal but arrive on Terminal 1. Is it gonna be a long walk from terminal 1 to Terminal 4 to get to my car?

LAX's terminals are arranged in a U-shape, surrounding their corresponding parking facilities, and served by the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. After Terminal 1, the bus makes stops at T2, T3, TBIT and T4.
