change planes in 30 min?Oct 11, 201110Presuming you lv SJC, and change planes in LAX to TUS - you may have to change terminals at LAX (which has 9 terminals - TBIT in the middle, 4-8 to the right, 3-1 to the left), depending which airline you take (look at your ticket). 1. A secure connection is now available between the TBIT & Terminals 3 & 4 at each side of it. 2. Terminals 5, 6 & 7 are connected by tunnel, and Terminal 7 has a walkway to Satellite/T8 and Terminal 6. 3. LAX's terminals are arranged in a U-shape, served by the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Starting from TBIT, the next stops are at T4 through T8, it then goes on to the opposite side with T1, T2, T3 and back to TBIT. Count on 3 minutes for each stop.HH39posted on Tue, Oct 11

V Australia to AmericanOct 11, 201110Hi, flying to the States in November and we arrive at LAX at 6.30am in the morning from Australia, and have a connecting flight at 9.30 on American airlines. Will this be enough time to clear customs, immigration and get to the American flight. I believe V Australia are changing terminals in LAX in November, which probably means more security screens.Barryposted on Mon, Oct 101. You have plenty of time. If you use Qantas, you would arrive and depart at LAX from the same terminal, which is T4. Note that after customs clearance you have to re-check-in your bags, which should be properly tagged to your end destination). If you do not take Qantas, you will arrive at TBIT, the international terminal, which is next to T4 and has a connection to it.MUCposted on Tue, Oct 11

Quickest way pleaseHPerkposted on Mon, Oct 10There's only one option: Board the blue-marked LAX bus route A on lower arrivals level island in front of T5 under sign 'LAX Shuttle Airline Connection", which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops are T6, 7, 8, and over to T1. 4 stops - about 10 mins at most.HH39posted on Tue, Oct 11

6hrs between flightsOct 10, 201111We are arriving on an internal flights, with a domestic connection 6 hours later. Any suggestions as to lounge facilities etc to fill in this time?MJposted on Sun, Oct 9The Arrivals Levels of all terminals have interactive visitor's centers & Traveler's Aid. Furthermore, The Tom Bradley Terminal offers VIP Lounges South (4th floor Sky Team, 5th Floor Star Alliance), and VIP Lounge North (4th floor L.A. Internat'l Lounge, 5th floor 'Oneworld' Alliance. An escalator from the center will take you to the Food Court, Upper Level, which includes the reLAX Lounge.PilotJoeposted on Mon, Oct 101 person likes this post [ Like ]

domestic change - carry on onlyOct 5, 201110I am arriving on a Horizon flight and can choose to connect on American, United or Delta for a flight to Phoenix. Will I have to exit the Horizon terminal or is there a tunnel? I assume I will have to re-enter security regardless. Thanks.wfb62posted on Wed, Oct 51. Horizon flight arrives in T3; Those airlines are located in the following terminals: American: T4; United (international): T6; United Express: T8; Delta: T5. 2. You need to exit T3 to catch the shuttle bus: the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops are at TBIT, T4, T5, T6. Yes you need to go thrugh security again.1039posted on Wed, Oct 5

Changing terminals at LAXOct 2, 201110I am arriving in terminal 4 on American at 6:30pm, have to claim my luggage and get to Virgin Australia in terminal 3 for a flight that leaves at 8:25pm. What is the quickest way for me to get to terminal 3 after claiming my luggage?Deniposted on Sat, Oct 1You have enough time: 1. If you arrive from an international flight: Unless you have gone through US customs clearance by participating airports in Canada and the Caribbean, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). 2. If you arrive on a domestic flight, your bags should be properly tagged at your original departure Airport showing all 3 Airport codes (bags will be transferred to connecting flight). 3. Either way, you need to exit Terminal 4 where you have 2 choices: walk from T4, left, pass TBIT and arrive at T3, or catch the the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops after T4 are at T5 through T8, then bus goes around to T1 through T3 - 7 stops or 10 mins. You will have to go through security at T3.MUCposted on Sun, Oct 2
