    Have ONE reservation.SJC TUS

Presuming you lv SJC, and change planes in LAX to TUS - you may have to change terminals at LAX (which has 9 terminals - TBIT in the middle, 4-8 to the right, 3-1 to the left), depending which airline you take (look at your ticket). 1. A secure connection is now available between the TBIT & Terminals 3 & 4 at each side of it. 2. Terminals 5, 6 & 7 are connected by tunnel, and Terminal 7 has a walkway to Satellite/T8 and Terminal 6. 3. LAX's terminals are arranged in a U-shape, served by the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Starting from TBIT, the next stops are at T4 through T8, it then goes on to the opposite side with T1, T2, T3 and back to TBIT. Count on 3 minutes for each stop.

  • V Australia to American

Hi, flying to the States in November and we arrive at LAX at 6.30am in the morning from Australia, and have a connecting flight at 9.30 on American airlines. Will this be enough time to clear customs, immigration and get to the American flight. I believe V Australia are changing terminals in LAX in November, which probably means more security screens.

    1. You have plenty of time. If you use Qantas, you would arrive and depart at LAX from the same terminal, which is T4. Note that after customs clearance you have to re-check-in your bags, which should be properly tagged to your end destination). If you do not take Qantas, you will arrive at TBIT, the international terminal, which is next to T4 and has a connection to it.

I have 1 hour to go from T-5 and get on plane departing from T-1...will have only carry on. Quickest way please

There's only one option: Board the blue-marked LAX bus route A on lower arrivals level island in front of T5 under sign 'LAX Shuttle Airline Connection", which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops are T6, 7, 8, and over to T1. 4 stops - about 10 mins at most.

We are arriving on an internal flights, with a domestic connection 6 hours later. Any suggestions as to lounge facilities etc to fill in this time?

The Arrivals Levels of all terminals have interactive visitor's centers & Traveler's Aid. Furthermore, The Tom Bradley Terminal offers VIP Lounges South (4th floor Sky Team, 5th Floor Star Alliance), and VIP Lounge North (4th floor L.A. Internat'l Lounge, 5th floor 'Oneworld' Alliance. An escalator from the center will take you to the Food Court, Upper Level, which includes the reLAX Lounge.

  • Walking From T4 to T1

Hi. I am flying out from terminal 4 and want to park my car across the terminal but arrive on Terminal 1. Is it gonna be a long walk from terminal 1 to Terminal 4 to get to my car?

LAX's terminals are arranged in a U-shape, surrounding their corresponding parking facilities, and served by the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. After Terminal 1, the bus makes stops at T2, T3, TBIT and T4.

I arrive on Nov 17 at 9:10 am lax Alaska air 560 from PDX to MZT (international) and need to connect with Alaska 246 to MZT by 10:20 am..do I have enough time?

Alaska operates from Terminal 3 which has only 9 gates (30-39) You'll make it easily!

I presume that you will arrive at Concourse C and depart from Continental's international Terminal E (gates E12-24 on one side and E1-11 on the opposite side. You can walk from C gates C14-24 to the E gates.

I am arriving on a Horizon flight and can choose to connect on American, United or Delta for a flight to Phoenix. Will I have to exit the Horizon terminal or is there a tunnel? I assume I will have to re-enter security regardless. Thanks.

    1. Horizon flight arrives in T3; Those airlines are located in the following terminals: American: T4; United (international): T6; United Express: T8; Delta: T5. 2. You need to exit T3 to catch the shuttle bus: the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops are at TBIT, T4, T5, T6. Yes you need to go thrugh security again.

  • Getting from Terminal 5 to Internationa

How do I get from Arriving on Delta at Terminal 5 to Depart for Melborne on Quantas in the Unternational Terminal?

    1. Qantas is in Terminal 4 (T4 has gates 42-49, not TBIT (or "TB")which is for international arrivals. Look at your Ticket whether it says T4 or TB. T4 & T5 are next to each other, but not connected inside.

Hi, i have a flight from American Airlines i'll arrive at 5:15am in terminal 4 and need to go for my connecting flight with same airline and terminal but the time of my next flight is 6am. do i have an enough time

No problem! Terminal 4 has only 8 gates (42-49).

How far are the gates from each other? Because considering of my departure, i know i will not be able to get off from the plane exactly at 5:15am.

I am arriving in terminal 4 on American at 6:30pm, have to claim my luggage and get to Virgin Australia in terminal 3 for a flight that leaves at 8:25pm. What is the quickest way for me to get to terminal 3 after claiming my luggage?

You have enough time: 1. If you arrive from an international flight: Unless you have gone through US customs clearance by participating airports in Canada and the Caribbean, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). 2. If you arrive on a domestic flight, your bags should be properly tagged at your original departure Airport showing all 3 Airport codes (bags will be transferred to connecting flight). 3. Either way, you need to exit Terminal 4 where you have 2 choices: walk from T4, left, pass TBIT and arrive at T3, or catch the the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops after T4 are at T5 through T8, then bus goes around to T1 through T3 - 7 stops or 10 mins. You will have to go through security at T3.

I arrive at terminal 1 at 1.15pm and depart terminal 4 at 3.20pm. I have one checked bag to collect. How long does it take to get from terminal 1 to 4? Have I enough time?

    1. If you arrive from an international flight: Unless you have gone through US customs clearance by participating airports in Canada and the Caribbean, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes) - this should take 30-40 mins. 2. LAX's terminals are arranged in a U-shape, served by the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Starting from TBIT, the next stops are at T4 - T8, it then goes on to the opposite side with T1, T2, T3 and back to TBIT. Therefore, after T1 your bus stops at T2, 3, TBIT and T4. 10-12 mins.
