I presume you arrive from an international flight at TBIT, in which case you need to go first through customs clearance, exit the terminal and you will see to your right Terminal 4. You can either walk to it or wait for the bus which arrives every 12-15 minutes. (its on the lower arrival level island in front of the terminal under sign "LAX shuttle airline connection".

What if I land at LAX at 11am and next flight departs at T4 at 1pm, with luggage checked in, is there enough time?

What if I arrive 11am at TBIT and connecting flight at 1pm at T4, if luggage checked in, will I have enough time?

My mother and I requested a wheelchair to make our way through LAX. We thought that we would enjoy a nice afternoon wheeling throught the airport enjoying some wine and food and shot at Duty Free. HOWEVER, the LAX staff would not allow a person in a wheelchair through duty free and then confiscated the wheelchair leaving us stranded in the restaurant!!!! I'm stunned at how useless the customer service has been and how ignorant they are to accessibility issues!

Baggage claim is your best bet

The terminals are arranged in a U-shape, wit TB (TBIT) in the curve and T4 at left. Make sure you have your bags pretagged to SYD at DFW. All you need to do is exit T4, turn left and walk over to TBIT. (the bus (LAX Bus A) option would give you not enough time as it runs only every 12-15 mins from T4-T8, on to T1 to T3 & back to TBIT. Keep in mind that you have to go through security check again at TBIT.

The center island is on the lower arrival level of each terminal. It may also have a sign for the AV Express.

From I-45 take Century Blvd. exit to Sepulveda Blvd.(crossing with 96th St.) drive north to Parking Lot C - a short-term/daily economy lot, with free shuttle service to the terminal.

T4 through T8 are next to each other, but separate. Thereafter proceed to the street level and catch the LAX bus Route A on lower arrivals level island in front of the terminal (yours is TBIT), Starting from TBIT, the next stops are at T4 through T8,then goes on to T1, T2, T3 and back to TBIT. The bus runs every 12-15 mins. Count about 3 mins for each terminal stop

While there is a shuttle running every 12-15 mins in front of each terminal, starting at TBIT and continuing to the right to T4-T8, then around to T1, T2, T3 and back to TBIT, I am not sure whether you can walk between them (T1 is opposite T8, with the parking facilities in between). Would appreciate if you cd post a note if walking is possible.

You are not specific. However, Emirates Airlines arrives/departs from TBIT (Tom Bradley Terminal), which is the one in the U curve. (T4-T8 are on one side and T3-T1 on the other. A bus stops at the parking facilities taking you to this terminal. Blue-marked Route A buses make the round in front of all terminals undesign LAX Shuttle Airline Connection.
