I will be arriving on an international flight on Lufthansa, arriving at 5:40 PM and am scheduled to depart on a United domestic flight at 6:45PM. This was the way United offered the flights on their web site when I booked. From what I can tell it looks nearly impossible to make the connection in 1 hour and 5 minutes. I may just go with carry on luggage, and I have Global Entry. Do I have a chance of making the connection, or should I get United to push us to a later departing flight?
With global entry and no checked bags it is possible. Where are you coming from? I don't see any Lufthansa flights that arrive at 5:40 PM.
Arriving LAX Terminal 5 via Suncountry from Minneapolis at 10:50 PM Wednesday night. Leaving via Terminal B (China Airlines) at 1:15 AM. Luggage checked to destination in Minneapolis but need to get Boarding pass from China Airlines in LA. Can anyone tell me the process of doing this and how long it should take. I imagine I need to leave Terminal 5, get to Terminal B, get boarding pass from China Airlines, go back through security to gate?
So will I have enough time to do all of this comfortably in 2 1/2 hours?
You have the process correct. You should have enough time.
i will be arriving on a jetblue flight from jfk and connecting to an american airlines international flight to tokyo. how far apart are the terminals?
You arrive in Terminal 6 and depart from Terminal 4 or 5. They are all connected to each other so if you don't have checked bags you don't even need to leave security.
I am traveling with my 80 year old and 75 year old sisters, our flight arrives at LAX at terminal 1 at 4:37 and our Spirit airlines connecting flight leaves from terminal 5 at 5:11. How long will it take to get between terminals and what is the best way?
You have absolutely no chance of making that connection. You should not have booked it. You have to walk or take the shuttle from Terminal 1 to Terminal 5 and go through security. If you have any checked bags you will have to claim them and re-check them with Spirit in T5. Again, this is an impossible connection.
Have never been to Lax flying today arriving gate 38 terminal 3 delta from New Orleans connecting to united to San Luis Obispo terminal 7 gate 80
My wife has bad neuropathy in her feet from chemo therapy
We have about 1:15 to boarding time. Suggestions please to save her walking. Shuttles? Can? Must we go back out and through security benn googling the heck out of this now I am more confused. We have flown a good bit but never thought of having to go back through security
You have to go through security again. You don't really have enough time unless the flight from New Orleans arrives quite early.
We will be traveling to hawaii next month. Drom chicago with a 2 hour layover in lax. Question #1.. will i be able to get off the plane in lax?
Question 2 ... is there a smoke lounge in the terminals? Looking for Somewhere to smoke without having to go in and out of security
Yes, you will have to get off the plane in LAX. No, there are no smoking lounges inside security at LAX.
So for a smoker... they would have to leave security... have a smoke.. then check in again thru security?
Yes, that is correct.
I am flying in with Delta but have a 8.5 hour layover before flying outbound with United. Can anyone tell me where the USO is located? Will I be able to claim my bags and still gain access to the USO or will I have to wait until I am able to check in with United before being able to access. Thanks in advance!
The USO is outside security across the roadway from Terminals 1 and 2. So it will be conveniently located after you arrive on your Delta flight. http://www.lawa.org/welcome_LAX.aspx?id=1592
I'm looking to buy multiple tickets from different airlines to go to LAX with Southwest landing at 8:45 PM and then getting my bags and rechecking in for a flight with China Eastern to Shanghai at 1:00 AM. Will there be enough time?
Yes, that should be enough time.
Hi, my return flight to Sydney has a short layover in LAX (35 minutes) before departing. We're flying into and out of T7, I'm a bit worried if we'll have to re-check our bags and/or clear customs before being allowed on the plane to Sydney.
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have just enough time as long as your flight from Chicago is on-time.
Thank you!
Planned arrival from uk to LA inter airport oct 2 @ 14.45
