  • LAX Connection for Qantas to AA in 2hrs : LA to Vegas?
    Nov 26, 2016
Howdy all. Any chance that a connection time from TBIT international after immigrations, customers etc can make a connection with American Airlines? Land at TBIT 6:00 am on Friday and connection is at 8:20am AA (terminal 4?).

It's possible but leaves very little time to spare if the second flight is on a separate reservation. If it's all one reservation you should be OK.

I am arriving in LAX on demesticcAAflight Then flying out aa to Australia. I am not familiar with terminals. Is this enough time?

  • LAX 2h, 25 min connection time
    Nov 21, 2016
Hi, I am arriving at LAX on a Delta flight at 7:40 PM. We are taking the 10:05 pm Qantas flight from LAX to Melbourne. Is this enough connection time? I assume we have to go through security check again, Many thanks.

Yes, that is just enough time if the Delta flight is domestic and on-time.

Thanks very much for considering this question!

  • LAX domestic to international airport transfer
    Nov 21, 2016
Hi!Our flight is from Nashville to LAX to Manila with only 2 hrs lay over at LAX airport. Will it be enough to transfer from domestic to LAX international airport?

Should be ok.... The Delta terminal is terminal 5 or 6.... You need to get around to Bradley terminal between terminal 3 and 4... Shuttle could take some time or 15 minute walk if you are not taking to much baggage. Traffic circulates clockwise so you will be headed around the terminal if you are departing from Bradley where the foreign airlines have most of their gates.

That's just enough time if the Delta flight is on-time.

  • AUS-LAX (United) transferring to NZ1
    Nov 21, 2016
I am scheduled to arrive in LAX (United Terminal) at 6:01 PM. My flight to Aukland on Air New Zealand leaves at 8:55 PM. Will I have enough time to transfer? No checked bags, separate tickets

No Sweat...With no bags you can shuttle around to Bradley terminial between terminal 3-4

  • LAX Connection time 1.5 hrs
    Nov 21, 2016
Hi, Flying Delta airlines Sydney - LAX - Mexico City on the one ticket. There is only a 1.5hr layover at LAX is his sufficient time with checked baggage. Queried it with travel agent and was advised that if did not work would be put on next flight as is on the one ticket but may look at different options if layover too short thanks

That is barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. There will be no "next flight". If you miss your connection you will get sent to Atlanta and then onwards to Mexico City.

  • Arrive LAX terminal 6 leave terminal 1
    Nov 21, 2016
I have a one hour 40 min window. Once we deplane T6, do we have enough time to get our plan at T1? Do you have to go through security check again?

Yes, you will have to go through security again in T1. Do you have checked bags? If so this will be very difficult.

  • Terminal B to Terminal 4
    Nov 21, 2016
Hi, I'm flying from Hong Kong to LAX (terminal B) and then a connection to Phoenix on American Airlines out of terminal 4. 9:25 arriving in LAX, and 12:48 from LAX to Phoenix. Is that enough time to clear customs and make the flight? Thanks!

No problem...Terminal 4 is right next to Bradley terminal...Walk out of Bradley and turn right... Maybe 100 yard walk..

  • Terminal 1 SWA to TBIT
    Nov 21, 2016
I arrive SWA Terminal 1 at 10:05 am on a Tues and need to connect to an international flight leaving from TBIT at 1:30 pm. 1 checked bag. Will I make it?

Also, is the Airline Connections "A" Shuttle the best way to transfer btwn these terminals?

Unless your bag is very difficult to carry I would walk. You should have enough time.

Travelling on Qantas from Sydney to LAX, landing at 6:15am with a connecting flight on Virgin America to Orlando, departing at 9:15am. Is this enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time if the flight from Sydney is on-time.

  • Connecting flight time
    Nov 16, 2016
If I arrive in LAX at 7:30 pm from JFK and I have a connecting flight to Fiji at 9:30 pm the same day. Will two hours be enough for the connecting flight?

I think that will be really difficult. Checking in for a Fiji Airways flight is somewhat of a slow manual process.

  • QF to WN connection
    Nov 17, 2016
Hi, We are arriving on a QF flight from SYD at 6.35am, and flying on Southwest at 8.45am, is that enough connecting time? Which terminals do they both operate from? Do we clear customs in LAX or SFO?

You will arrive in the International Terminal, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, and go through US Customs, then take your bags to Terminal 1, re-check them with Southwest and go through security. This is a very difficult connection. I would switch to a later flight out of LAX.

Thank you so much! I have changed the reservation to a later flight at no extra charge and with no hassles at all! Love love love Southwest!

  • LAX to NYC
    Nov 16, 2016
Hi, I'm flying in to LAX from SYD Australia and land at 6.30am. Will I be able to make an 8.45am NYC flight? They are affiliated airlines (virgin Australia and virgin America)

That is just enough time if they are on the same reservation.

  • Terminal 4 CBP
    Nov 15, 2016
I believe I arrive at T4 on AA 170. Do I clear CBP at T4 or have to walk to TBIT to clear CBP? I have a connecting flight on AA to PHX at 16:25 on the same ticket. Thanks for any clarification you can provide.

As far as I know the T4 CBP is open, although the flight could now arrive in the TBIT as AA now has preferred access to some gates on the south side of the TBIT, however, it appears that AA170 almost always arrives at gate 41 in T4.

  • AA connection
    Nov 14, 2016
Hi, I'm flying American Airlines from Austin to Tokyo with 1h16m connecting time at LAX. It's all booked via AA and I have checked-in baggage. Is that enough to make it? Thanks.

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in LAX is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • 1 hour 45 min layover
    Nov 14, 2016
Hi, I'm flying United Airlines from Sydney to Chicago,, stopping over at LAX. It's all booked via UA under the same reservation and my layover is 1 hour 45 minutes. Is that enough time to make the connecting flight?

Yes, that's just enough time if everything goes smoothly. If you miss your connection because the flight from Sydney is late, United has lots of flights from LAX to Chicago.
