Hi All,

I am looking to book flights - Melbourne, Australia to Vancouver, Canada, which go via LAX. The Qantas flight arrives into Terminal B at 06:35am and the connecting flight (WestJet / shared as QF flight) departs Terminal 2 at 08:45am.

Having never been through LAX before, is 2 hours enough time to collect my bag and get my connecting flight?

That should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hi, we are arriving LAX from Fiji at 1:25pm. our connecting flight via American Eagle leaves at 3:27pm. Will that be enough time to get through customs? Would just carry-on bags make a difference?
With just carry-ons that should be possible, especially if you are able to check in for your AA flight before leaving Fiji. It would be difficult with checked bags.
I fly in to LAX from Lihue at 0610 and then out to Detroit at 0645. Both arrival and departure are with Delta. Am I going to have enough time between flights to make my connecting flight to Detroit?
That should be just enough time if the flight from Lihue is on-time.
Hoping to grab breakfast with someone on a layover, flying different airlines/different terminals. Can I get past security in terminal 7 if my flight is departing from terminal 3?
Arriving in LAX on 12/27 at 9:45PM and have a flight to SYD departing at 10:40PM. Both are on American. Is this enough time to make the connection? American is claiming it meets their minimum connection times, but I feel like it's cutting it close. Thank you.
Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is domestic. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I have a flight from ATL > LAX > SYD. My question is that I have a 1hr 32m layover in LAX for my flight to SYD do I go through custom in ATL or LAX or not until I arrive in SYD. Also is 1hr 32min long enough for an American Airlines flight to another American Airlines flight
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in LAX is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Is an 1hr 32m long enough
Yes it is plenty of time.
I am travelling from Syd to LAX with Qantas and arrive in LAX at 6.30am. I then have a flight to Miami at 9.30am. Is 3 hours enough to clear immigrations and pick up my bags and checkin at the American Airlines counter and go through TSA security?
Yes, that is enough time. Note that if both flights are on the same reservation you can re-check your bags at the re-check desk in the International Terminal and don't have to take your bags to the AA check-in counter in T4.
I'm having the same scenario where I fly in from Singapore to LAX at 6.15AM via Singapore Airlines and flying from LAX to SFO at 9.35AM via AA in Terminal 6. First time I'm doing this as I fly directly to SFO in the past.
Do I have to go thru customs at LAX, collect my luggage, run to Departures to check in my luggage in and run to Terminal 6 to board the plane?
I have a flight into LAX on 1/13 that arrives at 8:46. I have a connection at 10:45 to Sydney. Both flights are through United. Is there a tunnel that connects terminal 7 to the International terminal? Or what is the fastest way to connect? Thanks.
No United flights depart from the International Terminal. You will both arrive and depart from Terminal 7/8. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.
I am flying into LAX and landing at Terminal 6 at 7:15AM. I have a departure flight at Terminal 3 at 8:3AM with no checked bags. Do I have to go through TSA again? Ive been looking at the maps but can't tell the fastest route since they are on opposite sides of airport. Does crossing through the parking garages work or are you supposed to take tunnels the whole way? DO I HAVE TIME?
You can either cross the parking garages or walk around in front of the International Terminal. There are no tunnels. You have to go through security again in Terminal 3. That is a very difficult connection.
I arrive on a flight from Sydney at 6:30 AM on 1/27. I have a flight to ORD at 9:30 AM on 1/27. I will have checked bags in Sydney. Is that enough time to connect? Both flights are under the same reservation with United.
Yes, that is enough time. You will arrive in the International Terminal, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then walk to Terminal 7, go through security, and to your departure gate.
Thank you!
Arriving at 9:00AM in Terminal 6 departing at 9:40AM in Terminal 4 on DEC 21st...fastest route ?
Definitely take the tunnels. The shuttle means you have to go through security again. You'll have to run.
