Is 1 hr 15 minutes enough time to collect bags and recheck with another carrier. We fly Delta domestic (Term 5) then Air New Zealand (Term 2) There is no baggage agreement between these 2 airlines.... UGH

On arrival at LAX at T5, claim your bags at the arrivals /baggage claim level. With bags in tow, you need to proceed to T2 - on the opposite side of the U-shaped terminals. Other than taking a taxi, you only have one option: Board the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops will be T6, T7, T8, T1, T2 - about a 12 mins' ride. Enter T2 & proceed to New Zealand check-in counters and (if needed) your boarding pass, thereafter you need to go through security check and on to your departing gate. Transfer time depends largely on time of day (morning/eve rush hour - longer lines at check-in) and how quickly you get your bags. Under normal circumstances, you should be able to make your connection. Alert your Delta flight attendant that you need to exit carrier as soon as possible.

When i get to (LAX ) T 7 how do i get to TBIT ?

    1. If your first flight does not forward your bags to your second flight, you need to claim them at the baggage level and take them on the bus to TBIT, then check them in with your connecting airline. Otherwise, You have two options: On Arrival at LAX proceed to the Arrivals level, take escalator down to the tunnel connecting T7 - T4; take escalator up to ground level, and proceed outside to the left to TBIT - about 10 mins walk at most. OR: take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins - 4 stops or 10 mins. In any event you need to go through security check at TBIT before proceeding to your gate.

Can anyone told me which terminal UA3 arrive?thx....

United uses Terminals 6, 7 & 8 - T6 has gates 60-69; T7 gates 70-77; T8 gates 80-88. To search for your flight, open www.lawa.org/fsw and add your Airline where indicated (just type U) - there is no arrival of UA3 listed for today - are you sure you have the right flight number?

  • Connect SW to Alaska Air Mexico Flight

Connecting from SW-terminal 1 to Alaska Air Mexico flight-I think terminal 6. Will I have to get bags and recheck internationally? How do I get from Terminal 1 to terminal 6? Is there a walkway available?

    1. Only international arrivals at US airports need to go through customs clearance process. 2. If SW transfers bags to your Alaska flight, you can walk between Terminals T1 & T7 by using the cross road between the parking structures; in the center of this walkway is access to the round 'Theme Building') - if SW does not transfer your bags, you need to claim them at T1 - and take either a cart outside and walk over to T7-T6 (both connected via escalators on their ground level by a tunnel) or take bag on the shuttle bus - LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', running every 12-15 mins. Your next stops would be T2, T3, TIBIT, on to T4, T5, T6 - six stops or 15 mins.

Southwest will not transfer your bags. You will have to claim them and re-check them with Alaska.

Hi, can u please tell me where to go will arrive LAX from MIA thru AA and my next flight for HKG Cathay Pacific . I need to pick up my checked luggage coz it's not a connecting flight. Is 4 hrs enough time to transfer from AA to Cathay Pacific? Please help..Thanks

No problem! You arrive via AA at Terminal 4, where you go down to the baggage claim and pick up your bag; You need to take your bag along to your connecting terminal TBIT (Bradley or TB), where you need to check your bag in at the Departures level with Cathay, then go through security check and on to your gates. I suggest you grab a trolley outside of T4 and walk with it over to TBIT, which is around the corner. Another option is to take the Blue bus stopping at the isle front of T4 to your next stop, TBIT, the bus comes around every 10-15 mins and takes only minutes to get to TBIT. You have plenty of time at TBIT to each and/or shop, just watch the overhead screens for your flight departure and gate (at TBIT, past TSA Screening at left are gates 106 - 101; and past TSA Screening at right are gates 119 to123, with access to bus gates 136 to 146.

  • How to get from TBIT to Terminal 6

Can you walk from TBIT to Terminal 6 or is a shuttle bus required? Also is a 3 hour transit time sufficient when arriving at the TBIT ex Qantas and transferring to Alaskan terminal 6.

    1. You need to find out from Qantas if they transfer your bags to Alaska's connecting flight - if not, you need, on arrival at TBIT, go down to the baggage claim area and retrieve your bags, taking them to T6 and checking them in at the Alaska counter on the Departures level. 2. As an International arrival at LAX (unless you have gone through US customs clearance by participating airports) you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag where indicated (if bags are being transferred automatically). Count on 35-5 mins for this procedure. 3. Thereafter, exit TBIT and take the the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. - next stop (to the right) T4, T5 & T6) - you can also walk around the bend to T4, walk over to T5, go down escalator to tunnel to T6, up escalator to ground level and on to the security check and gates. You have plenty of time.
