Flying in JAN 09, Korean Air KE011 from ICN, arriving 14:00. I'm looking to book a connecting flight from LAX to DEN. What is the min departure interval I should look for for the flight? I am a US citizen, and have the new Mobile Passport app, carry-on only, nothing to declare. Thank you!
I would want at last 3 hours. Although having no checked bags makes 2.5 doable.
We have a short connection time of 1 hr 50 minutes arriving in Delta terminal 5 from Minneapolis and going to terminal 3 for the Virgin Australia flight to Sydney. I'm a little confused about where Virgin Australia departs from. The airline confirmed for me that I will get my boarding pass to Sydney when I check in in Minneapolis. I've seen some comments on line that the check in is in terminal 3 but the flight departs from TBIT. Since we will have boarding passes, could I just skip going to terminal 3 and go straight through to TBIT through the gate 4 connector to avoid security? Of do flights actually depart from terminal 3. What is the best way to go, walking vs shuttle (with a 5 year old)?
The Virgin Austalia check-in counter is in Terminal 3, but their flights actually depart from the International Terminal. Yes, since you should already have your boarding passes you can go directly to the International Terminal through the Tunnel to T4 and then the new connector building to the TBIT.
Flying from Sydney to Boston with United (all in the same ticket). Arriving at LAX from Sydney at 6.30am and flight to Boston leaves at 8.20am. Should that be enough time to make the change? I have one checked bag and I assume that I'll get both boarding passes in Sydney and the bag will be checked in all the way to Boston.
You will have to claim your bag in LAX to go through US Customs, then immediately re-check it at the re-check desk, before proceeding to Security and to your departure gate in T7. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
This week I will need to connect from a LAS->LAX flight to United 839 from LAX to Sydney Australia. Today United reservations told me the Sydney is leaving from Terminal 7. They were unable to say if it always does.
Does anyone know? If it ever leaves from TBIT that will seriously affect my connection time allowance. If it always goes from Term 7 and I fly in on UA I can save the security re-clearance and travel time to TBIT and make a shorter connection time.
Any frequent flight 839 flyers know the answer? Thanks!
Also, suppose I arrive at Terminal 8 and have to get to TBIT and re-clear security. How much time should I allow? SYD departure is 10:50pm, so I am assuming the security line won't be very long. But I can't risk missing the flight!
No United flights ever leave from the TBIT. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time,.
