We are arriving in lax on delta, June 1st and have 1he. 50 min to find an Alaska terminal. How hard?

You will arrive in Terminal 5 or 6 and depart from Terminal 6. They are connected inside security by a tunnel.

I have a Delda flight From HNL that arrive in LAX terminal 5 at 19.55, and a a flight to Paris CDG at 21.30. The flight are on the same reservation. Is it enough time? Have I to uncheck and check in again baggages?

You don't have to do anything with your baggage. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which you can now do by taking the pedestrian tunnel to Terminal 4 and then the new walkway to the International Terminal.

Hello, I am arriving to Terminal 6 with American Eagle, and have a 5 hours layover to take a flight to Madrid departing Terminal B (Iberia). Both flights have the same confirmation number, bought from AA. Do I need to pick my checked luggage and recheck them or they will take it to the next flight? Thank you.

No, you don't have to do anything with your baggage at LAX.

  • T2 to TB time needed

I am scheduled to fly in on Aeromexico from Mexico City arriving at 20.30 into Terminal 2. I am departing on Air New Zealand from Terminal Tom Bradley at 22.30 on the same ticket. Will I have enough time to make the connection? Thanks

No, that is not enough time. Plan on spending the night in LAX and flying to New Zealand the next day or find an earlier flight to LAX.

Connecting from United London flight to BI to United flight to PSP on Wed, May 25. Is 3 1/2 hours enough time to clear customs and shuttle to T8?

United's flight from London arrives in Terminal 7, not the International terminal. You have enough time.

  • Arriving T7 and departing T2

Arriving United T7 at 9:13am and departing T2 VirginAmerican at 10:30am with a dog on June 21 (Tuesday). Booked separately so I can still change first leg if I wont make it through airport. Thoughts anyone??

Virgin America does not use Terminal 2. They use Terminal 3. That's definitely not enough time. You need at least 3 hours.

  • MCI - LAX - NRT with 1 Hour between Flights

On a heavy travel day (Saturday July 2), we are connecting in LAX to NRT all on Delta. Know we will have to change from Terminal 5 to Terminal 6 and this is a legal Delta connection (1 hour) arrival at 9:45 and departure at 10:45. Is this realistic? Luggage will be checked but I assume we will not have to deal with it for this departure.

July 2 isn't a heavy travel day. Yes, that is realistic - all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Connecting from TBIT to T1

Hi, I am flying from Dubai (DXB) to LAX on Emirates and land at 8pm. I am looking at a connecting flight from LAX to OAK at 10:55pm. Is 2hr 55mins enough time to clear customs, collect baggage and walk to T1 and do the check-in/security or I should be looking at longer connect times?

I would plan on spending the night in LA.

How much connect time would you recommend in this case? Around 4-5hours?

Considering the security delay issues, yes, that's what I'd recommend.

Thanks for your help. I have moved around my schedule and landing at 2pm in LAX from DXB. I have booked a connecting flight at 6:30 to OAK.

  • Terminal 3 to Terminal 4 - Will I need to go through security again?

I arrive at LAX terminal 3 and have 54 mins to get to terminal 4. Both flights are AA. What is best way to get to terminal 4 and do I need to go through security again? Thanks for any informationi

AA does not use Terminal 3. Where are you coming from and where are you going to?

I am flying into LAX from Chicago on flt#2223 on 5/23. The ticket states arrival at terminal 3 and speaking to the AA customer service they confirmed arrival at terminal 3.

You will depart from Terminal 3 in Chicago. AA does not use Terminal 3 at LAX. You will arrive in Terminal 4.

  • Transit Time

I will be reaching LAX from PHX in Term 6 @ 3:14 PM and have to catch Ethihad flight in TBIT @ 4.55 PM. Entire trip is ticketed together, so i dont need to reclaim/checkin luggage in LAX again. Does 1 hr 40 minutes enough for transit from T6 to TBIT?

That should be enough time IF you take the new secure-side route from T6 to the International Terminal by taking the pedestrian tunnels to T4 and then the walkway to the International Terminal.

arriving terminal 5 with delta and have AF flight at 325 from terminal B. is this doable?

sorry. arriving terminal 5 at 215

Yes, it is possible. You can now go from Terminal 5 to the International Terminal inside security by taking the tunnel to Terminal 4 and then the walkway to the International Terminal.

  • T4 connecting to T2

Hi, we are arriving on AA around 6:55am at T4 and connecting to Aeromexico at T2 with 2hr 20min layover. Is it enough time? Do we have to pick up checked baggage and recheck? What's the best way to get from T4 to T2 and where to recheck?

Where are you flying from on AA? Are the tickets on two separate reservations or a single one?

We are flying in from HNL. Tickets were bought through Orbitz HNL to CUN on 1 reservation. HNL to LAX is Alaska Air operated by American Air. Thank you.

  • Connection/check in time

We are booked on UA #701 out of Denver to LAX landing at 8:27 terminal 7 and connecting to Air NZ #5 out of TBIT leaving at 10:30. All was ticketed through ANZ. My concern is that the email confirmation says to check in at LAX at 8:30 and no online check in. Not going to happen. Does checking in at Denver help? Should we move to an earlier flight out of Denver?

United should be able to check you in for both flights in Denver. You can now get from T7 to the International Terminal inside security but the route is a bit complex.

  • Connecting Time

We will be arriving at LAX Terminal B from London on American Airlines at 17.15. Our connecting flight is at 19.35 from Terminal 4 American Airlines to Las Vegas. Do we need to clear Immigration and Customs at Terminal 4? Also will we need to go through security again at Terminal 4 and re-check in our baggage? Will it be possible to check in the luggage all the way through to LAS from London? Will we have enough time to make the connection?

If your flight from London is operated by American it will arrive in Terminal 4, not the International Terminal. You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Thanks so much. If I miss the connection, will I be able to get a later connection?

They will rebook you on the next available flight on AA, which may not be until the next day.

  • Can I walk to the other terminals airside from Delta?
    May 12, 2016

I'll be flying into LAX with a 3 hour layover on Delta and I'm an aviation geek and want to see all the airplanes. Can I walk to the international terminals (or any terminal for the matter) without leaving security and having to reclear security? This purely for enjoyment, my connecting flight is also on Delta.

Yes, it is now possible to walk from Terminal 5 to the International Terminal inside security through the new connector building from T4 to the International Terminal. Keep in mind that you can't actually see any runways or anything like that from the International Terminal. Terminal 5 is actually one of the better terminals to see ramp operations.
