coming in United arrive 1:55pm depart air tahiti 4:40 TBIT. first time lax, how do i get from term 6 to TBIT, do i have plenty time? TIA DK
You will arrive in Terminal 7/8. The fastest way between terminals is to walk. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
If United operates an Air New Zealand plane that''s going from LAX to DC, do I leave TBIT? And what do I do with my bags?
Your United flight will depart from Terminal 7 or 8. If you are arriving into LAX on an ANZ flight from Auckland, you will arrive in the TBIT, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then walk to Terminal 7, go through security, and to your departure gate.
Dec. 17th, we're flying into LAX from Auckland using Air New Zealand. We'll be arriving to LAX through Terminal B at 10:30am. On another, separate, reservation we are looking to depart LAX using Delta and fly to Pittsburgh with a connecting flight in St. Paul, MS.

My question- after clearing customs/immigration at LAX, will we have to return to the ticket counter in the front of the airport, re-check out baggage, and clear security again before departing LAX for St. Paul? Ultimately, will 2hr 35min between landing at LAX and departing for St. Paul on a separate reservation be enough time..?

Thank you in advance!!
Yes, after clearing customs in the TBIT you will have to take your bags with you to Terminal 5 to re-check them with Delta, then go through security. That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
Hi, I am landing with Etihad at approximately 13:30 at LAX, I need to book a flight to SFO after that, would I have enough time to get though from TBIT to my next flight if I book for a 16:00 departure time on Delta??
Yes, that should be enough time.
I'm trying to book a flight from DC to Auckland with a layover in LAX and want to make sure the layover times are enough. Both outbound and inbound flights would be Air New Zealand, with United operating the domestic flights from DC to LAX and LAX to DC, all of them would be purchased on the same ticket. The layover coming back from Auckland is 2h5m in LAX. Is that enough time to go through customs and recheck my bags? Would Global Entry help speed up that process so that I can make the connecting flight back to DC?
Yes, that would be just enough time. Yes, Global Entry would help.
Is 2h,15m enough time to arrive on China Southern, go through customs, and make a flight out to Salt Lake City on Delta?
If both tickets are on the same reservation that is just enough time.
Planning to travel via AA from Tucson ,is 3 hrs is enough to go TBT to catch International flight to Abudabi
Yes, that should be enough time.
Hi! Just wondered...we land from London Heathrow on Virgin Atlantic at 6.40pm.We will have no luggage just carry on, So we need to get to terminal 2 flight at 7.50pm. What are our chances? How long does the security to get through to terminal 3 take? Is there a quicker way??!
Spirit does not use Terminal 2, they use Terminal 3. You don't realistically have enough time for that connection.
Sorry..i mean we need to get from terminal 2 to 3..!
We are flying from PDX to LAX on American Eagle, then LAX to Bora Bora on Air Tahiti Nui. We will need to get our bags and recheck them when we arrive at LAX. Our flight lands at LAX at 8:40 PM and we depart at 10:50 PM. Is that enough time or do we need to arrive earlier? Thank you!!!
Yes, that should be just enough time if your flight from Portland is on-time.
Really appreciate your help! Thank you!
I am arriving from China at 5:15 and catching a flight at 6:45 to Dallas. Do I need to claim my bag at LAX and recheck for flight to Dallas
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, and go through US Customs in LAX. Further instructions depend on what airlines you are flying and if your tickets are on one reservation or two separate reservations. That is a very difficult connection.
