  • Connection Bradley to T6

Have booking Brisbane Aust to Kansas City Qantas 23rd June. Arrives LAX TBIT 6am and depart for Kansas City AA 8.15 am from T6. Do I have enough time considering security delay issues. How does one get from TBIT to T6.tybbp8

That should be enough time. You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then walk to T6 and go through security.

What terminal will i be flying into out of? Will this be enough time and will i have to claim my baggage and recheck it in? Thanks

You will both arrive and depart from the International Terminal. Yes, you will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs, then immediately re-check it.

  • connecting with InterJet flight to Cancun
    May 30, 2016
I'm arriving on an American Airlines flight from Sydney into LAX at 7.45 am into Terminal B. I've booked a flight with InterJet from LAX to CANCUN that morning leaving at 10.30 am. I'm now worried about the connection, as I've realised I not only need to clear customs and change terminals, but I need to get my bags and recheck it in, and it's an international flight. Do you see any issue here or is this enough time. Thank you.

you barely have enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • Time to go for a run between flights?
    May 25, 2016
I'm transferring through LAX Monday evening, arriving 9:25pm from ATL, departing 1 am through the international terminal. I'd love to be able to stretch my legs between flights. Is there any way I'll have enough time to get outside, run for 30-45 minutes (up and down in front of the terminals is fine), and then make it back through security and into my departure gate in time for the next flight? How bad is the TSA wait these days anyway? And will it be crowded at 10pm or later? Thanks!

  • Transit
    May 30, 2016
Travelling from SFO to LAX on United Airlines and hoping to select the flight that arrives in LAX at 7:52PM. I have a purchased a flight from LAX to Auckland on American Airlines departing at 10:40PM. This gives approx 2 hours and 40mins between flights, should this be enough time??

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • Transit Time
    May 30, 2016
I arriving from Atlanta (Delta: Terminal 5) at 09:25 PM and my international connecting flight is at 11:50 PM (= 2h25mn transit time). I suppose that my checked-in luggage will go through without further check at LAX (security check done at Atlanta Airport). Is that so ? Do I have enough time for the transfer between these two flights ? Thanks for your kind support !

Yes, that should be plenty of time.

  • Connecting from T5 to International terminal
    May 24, 2016
Is it possible to go from terminal 5 to International terminal without exiting security?

Yes, you can take the tunnel to T4 and then the new connector walkway to the International Terminal.

  • BNA to LAX to AKL
    May 30, 2016
Flying from Nashville on a Monday evening via Southwest and arrive at LAX at 8:55pm. American Airlines flight to Auckland departs at 10:45pm. Is this enough time between flights?!

It will be very very difficult. You will have to claim your bags, go all the way to Terminal 4, re-check your bags, and go through security.

We're not checking bags. That should make it easier, no?

It makes it a little easier.

  • How to transfer from LAX (TBIT) To T3
    May 24, 2016
I am going to flight from DXB to LAX then connecting flight from LAX to HNL through T3. My arrive time @ LAX(TBIT) is 2pm & departure time from T3 is 6pm. Could you help me HOW to transfer from TBIT to T3 . DO I need to get out the TBIT to T3? DO I need to take out all my luggage when I arrive at TBIT noting that all my reservation made as one ticket issued by emirates airline with Hawaiian airline connecting flight ? Please help me!!!

Yes, the only way from the TBIT to T3 is to exit the building and walk to the left to T3. Yes, you will have to claim your bags, to go through US Customs, then if they are tagged to HNL, re-check them at the re-check desk in the International Terminal. Also note that Hawaiian Airlines uses T2, not T3.

  • T2 to T7
    May 23, 2016
I am arriving in terminal 2 (Air Canada) at 5:15 PM and departing in terminal 7 at 7:04 PM. That gives me 1 h 45 min between flights. Is that enough time to get over to terminal 7 and clear security. I only have a carry-on. Should I walk or take the shuttle? If I walk, do I just cut through the middle parking areas? Thanks!

I suggest walking and cutting through the parking garages. It is possible, but leaves very little time to spare.

  • Connecting from T5 to T3
    May 23, 2016
Hi, looking at Delta DEN LAX arriving at 1810 and connecting with Virgin Australia LAX SYD departing at 2155. Is this enough connecting time and can we stay airside?

Yes, that should be enough time. While the Virgin Australia check-in desk is in Terminal 3, their flights actually depart from the International Terminal. You can now walk from Terminal 5 through terminal 4 to the International Terminal without exiting security.

  • Question
    May 23, 2016
If I have an hour , can I get from terminal 8 to 4. Are they connected by a walkway?

Yes, it's possible. You can take a walkway inside security at the base of the terminal from T8 to T6 and then a tunnel from T6 through T5 to T4.

  • Arrive terminal 4 to TB terminal
    May 23, 2016
I 'm flying Auckland to New York via LAX. Arrival LAX at 06:30am terminal 4 with American airlines, connectinf flight QF11 from TB terminal departing at 8:20 am. It only got less than 2 hours. As I am aware LAX airport had completed a tunnel to connect between terminal 4 and TB termianl without go out of security area. My question is do I still need to go through below procedure as advised by airline or just walk from termianl 4 to TB terminal: 1. ON ARRIVAL IN LOS ANGELES, CLEAR IMMIGRATION; 2. COLLECT BAGGAGE FROM CAROUSELS; 3. CLEAR CUSTOMS; 4. PROCEED TO THE BAGGAGE TRANSFER BELT; 5. BAGGAGE IS SECURITY SCREENED PRIOR TO RELODGING. PASSENGERS MAY NEED TO OPEN BAGGAGE FOR INSPECTION; If the above needed, is happen in TB terminal or termianl 4 or both, in this case is connectionm time still enough or I have to run for it? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you have the procedure correct. It happens in The International Terminal. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
