I'm trying to book a flight from DC to Auckland with a layover in LAX and want to make sure the layover times are enough. Both outbound and inbound flights would be Air New Zealand, with United operating the domestic flights from DC to LAX and LAX to DC, all of them would be purchased on the same ticket. The layover coming back from Auckland is 2h5m in LAX. Is that enough time to go through customs and recheck my bags? Would Global Entry help speed up that process so that I can make the connecting flight back to DC?
Yes, that would be just enough time. Yes, Global Entry would help.
Is 2h,15m enough time to arrive on China Southern, go through customs, and make a flight out to Salt Lake City on Delta?
If both tickets are on the same reservation that is just enough time.
Planning to travel via AA from Tucson ,is 3 hrs is enough to go TBT to catch International flight to Abudabi
Yes, that should be enough time.
Hi! Just wondered...we land from London Heathrow on Virgin Atlantic at 6.40pm.We will have no luggage just carry on, So we need to get to terminal 2 flight at 7.50pm. What are our chances? How long does the security to get through to terminal 3 take? Is there a quicker way??!
Spirit does not use Terminal 2, they use Terminal 3. You don't realistically have enough time for that connection.
Sorry..i mean we need to get from terminal 2 to 3..!
We are flying from PDX to LAX on American Eagle, then LAX to Bora Bora on Air Tahiti Nui. We will need to get our bags and recheck them when we arrive at LAX. Our flight lands at LAX at 8:40 PM and we depart at 10:50 PM. Is that enough time or do we need to arrive earlier? Thank you!!!
Yes, that should be just enough time if your flight from Portland is on-time.
Really appreciate your help! Thank you!
I am arriving from China at 5:15 and catching a flight at 6:45 to Dallas. Do I need to claim my bag at LAX and recheck for flight to Dallas
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, and go through US Customs in LAX. Further instructions depend on what airlines you are flying and if your tickets are on one reservation or two separate reservations. That is a very difficult connection.
I am arriving at T5 on a Delta domestic flight. I have another flight the same day to Narita on Singapore at TIBC. How do I get to TIBC outside of security from baggage claim at T5 with my luggage?
You walk along the curbfront (on either the upper or lower level) to the left as you exit T5 (against the flow of vehicle traffic). It should take less than 10 minutes.
I am flying Southwest from Oakland CA to St. Louis Mo with my connecting flight at LAX - I only have 45 minutes between connecting flights in LAX - will that be enough time?
Yes, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in Terminal 1.
I'm wondering if 1hr 37 mins is enough time for transiting LAX (with hand luggage) on UA from Honolulu arriving 7.23pm and connecting to Virgin flight to LHR departing 9.00pm ...thanks. Otherwise I'll have a 5 hour layover.
It's possible without checked bags. It will help if you are able to check in online for your Virgin flight before leaving Hawaii. I personally wouldn't try it.
If arriving on a Virgin America flight from Cancun, Mexico at 1915, will I have enough time to check-in and clear security for an Air New Zealand to Melbourne, Australia at 2245? Thanks in advance.
Yes, that should be just enough time. Both flights will be in the International Terminal.
