I read that the connection between the international terminal and domestic terminals has improved from the 2-3 hours some travelers indicated, but does anyone know if a 55 min connection time will work with the terminal improvements? I'm on American Airlines arriving at the international terminal and need to catch my AA domestic flight . I bought two separate tickets due to big price difference. So, with customs, bags and possibly rechecking, is this still impossible? I think I'm desperately dreaming but thought I'd ask. Thanks
Oh dear, sorry I should have read more posts. Looks like I am dreaming. Two hours minimum connection time. Sorry for the redundant question.
Am flying from phoneix to manila on september, phoneix to lax via southwest, and lax to manila via korean air. My questions are can southwest tag my luggage at phoenix all the way to manila. Also, how far is the terminal of southwest to korean at lax, or is there a shuttle, and is ever there is a shuttle, where do i take the shuttle, thjank you
No, Southwest does not interline bags with any other airline. It is about 25 minutes from Terminal 1 to the International Terminal, either walking or on the shuttle. The Shuttle runs on the lower level.
Hi im arriving at LAX in Terminal 2 and i've a connection flight at TBIT with Korean AIr with checked luggage and 3 hours in between the two flights, some recommendations? Do I have to pass through security again?
Yes, you will go through security again. Are both tickets on the same reservation or two separate reservations? Where are you flying into T2 from?
Yeap the two tickets are in the same reservation, I arrive at T2 with Aeromexico but I have to move to TBIT to take Korean air
3 hours is just enough time. You will arrive in T2, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go to the International Terminal, Get your Korean boarding passes if you don't already have them then go through security and to your departure gate.
how far is southwest airlines to eva air. are these two located in different terminals? whats the best mode of transportation to get to each other? my family of five( inc a baby) has a connecting flight to eva air. have 3 hrs to do that. 8 baggages with us.help!
Yes, Southwest is in Terminal 1 and Eva Air is in the International Terminal. It's about a 20-25 minute walk or about the same time in a shuttle. You should have enough time.
Hi I am arriving g by China Southern from Delhi india at 7.40 pm and need to board the 10.05 pm Southwest flight from Terminal 1. Will I be able to make it ? I have to go through immigration and customs. I have 2 large bags and two carry ons
Hi I also need to know if I can get assistance to wheel my bags outside. Can I get a taxi to take me from TBIT to Terminal 1. Us 2 hrs 20 mins enough time to go through immigration and customs? This is my second visit so can I use the kiosks?
You cannot take a taxi between Terminals. You either have to carry them yourself or take them on the shuttle bus. If you have more than you can carry you'll have to send some of it ahead via the mail. You can only use the kiosks if you hold a visa-exempt passport or are a permanent resident. If you are an Indian citizen you cannot use the kiosks on repeat visits unless you become a permanent resident.
I have flight from beijing to los angeles to chicago. I don't need time for baggage claim but i need time for immigration. Is it possible for me to do immigration and board on the chicago flight within 2 hours ?
What airlines are you flying? Are your tickets on one reservation or two separate reservations?
One reservation with Air China
OK, so your flight to Chicago will be operated by United. In LAX, you will arrive in the International Terminal, go through US Immigration, claim your bags (if you have checked bags), go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, exit the terminal, walk to your right, the fourth building you come to will be Terminal 7, go inside, go through security and to your departure gate. You have just enough time.
