Is it possible to buy a sim-card at LAX, so that I will be able to use my phone upon landing from Denmark?
Or is there free wifi in any location within the airport?
Prepaid SIM cards in the US are much harder to find than in other countries - I've never seen one sold at the airport. Whether or not your phone will just work in the US when you turn it on depends on what carrier you have in Denmark.
I have an Air Canada flight to LAX which arrives at 7pm and I need to board a Qantas flight to Melbourne at 9:30 pm. Is this enough time to check out luggage and check in again for international including customs and immigration. My travel agent assures me there is plenty of time. I have little faith in that statement.
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do if your bags are checked through to Qantas is go to the International Terminal and go through security. If your bags are not checked through to Qantas then all you have to do is claim your bags from Air Canada in Terminal 2, take them to the International Terminal, re-check them with Qantas, and go through security. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. You have enough time.
I am returning from SYD (Austrailia) and land in LAX at 7:15am, and have a connecting flight to ATL at 9am.... will this be enough time to go through customs, etc? Should I check my bag in SYD or carry it on?
What airlines are you flying? Are all tickets on the same reservation or two separate reservations?
Delta, same reservation
Then yes, that should be just enough time. Carry-ons only will obviously make things easier if you can do it.
Im flying from Vancouver, BC to Seattle, Seattle to LAX and then LAX to San Jose (costa rica). For the connections in Seattle and LAX would 2hrs and 45 mins be enough time in each?
If you are flying Alaska on all flights, then yes, that should be sufficient.
Hi ,
My international flight is landing in LAX at 7:15 PM and have a southwest flight at 10:15 PM. Is the time sufficient to get to terminal 1 from international or should I be looking at a longer buffer time filght?
That's just about enough time. I Doubt you will find any later flights on Southwest so your only other option would be to spend the night.

I am arriving from Heathrow, London on a AA flight at 3.05pm. I don't depart until 10.40pm to Auckland on another AA flight, i will have luggage possibly in a backpack and not a suitcase. Would i have enough time and is it a simple process to visit Venice Beach etc?

Yes, you just take a taxi there and back. You will clear US Immigration and Customs upon arrival from London and free to go where you want. Arrive back at LAX 2 hours before your flight to Auckland, so leave the beach by 8 PM.
Has CBP at Terminal 4 LAX reopened for either London flight yet?
Now that the connector building is open, American can use T4 or the TBIT for International Arrivals.
I arrive at lax terminal 2 on Aeromexico from Mexico City at 11:50am. Then I have to connect on a west jet flight to Edmonton, Alberta (also terminal 2) at 1:45pm
Is this enough time?
I wouldn't try it. You'll have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags with westjet at their check-in counter and then go through security. without checked bags maybe it's possible under perfect circumstances.
flying Virgin Australia mid January with connecting Virgin America flight to New York all on the same ticket with a two hour stop at LAX is this enough time to clear customs
We land into LAX via Southwest at 11.20 and need to catch emirates flight at 3.45pm. We may have nearly 6 large bags. Is there an easier way to go to International terminal. Thanks
You either have to walk or take the shuttle bus with all your bags.
Flying United from Chicago to LAX to Maui in Feb 2017 with a 45 minute layover. Is that enough time or should I reboot for longer layover?
It's enough time if the flight from Chicago is on-time. With February whether who knows. All you have to do in LAX is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Thanks for the prompt response. Hadn't thought about weather since it's so nice here now. Something to consider!
