Where is the best place to meet a passenger arriving on Kim tues form Amsterdam.? I

If you want to wait for them in person, there is a place to wait in the International terminal for arriving international passengers after they go through customs.

  • Quick layover

Hi - I am landing in LAX from Toronto on American Airlines landing at 21:05 hoping to transfer to a Qantas international flight to Brisbane at 23:20 - is that enough time for an easy transfer? Might be a silly question but is Canada considered domestic for these flights or will I land in the international terminal?

The flights were booked seperately if that makes a difference - will we need to claim our bags & re-check them?

I'm flying from LAX to dallas then through to london and then India, for the flights from LA to Dallas and then London, will I need to collect my bags?switch terminals or anything?

You will not see your bags until you get to India. In DFW you may have to change terminals but the SkyLink train connects all terminals inside security. In London you may also have to change terminals, but they are connected inside the secure area by a shuttle bus.

    That is great, thank you

Hello- Elderly parents are flying in to LAX from Beijing through AirChina. I need to get wheelchair assistance scheduled for them once their flight lands at LAX. Is there a contact number at LAX where I can call to schedule wheelchair assistance, I've tried contacting the airline but have not gotten a satisfactory response.

Wheelchair assistance can only be arranged through the airline.

  • Brisbane (australia) to Detroit connection in LAX.

hey! i am flying from Australia to Detroit and stopping at LAX my flight lands in LAX at 6;30am i then need to be at terminal 5 for my departing flight by 9:15 is that enough time? this is the first time flying alone and I'm a little scared of missing my connecting flight or getting lost in LAX. and also do i need to completely leave the airport to get to my connecting flight ? and does that mean i have to line back up in those crazy lines in the domestic terminals ? thank you

Yes, you will arrive in the International Terminal, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, and go through US Customs. if your bags already have a tag to DTW then you can follow the sign for connecting passengers and drop your bags at the re-check desk. If they are only tagged to LAX you will have to follow the signs for passengers ending their trip at LAX and take your bags with you to Terminal 5. When you exit the terminal you will go to your right and walk for about 5 minutes. The second building you come to will be Terminal 5, you will go in, re-check your bags and get your Delta boarding pass if necessary, then go through security and to your departure gate. You should have just about enough time.

  • 50 minutes layover for international transfer

is 50 minutes enough for international transfer? my flight is from Chicago to LAX, then Sydney. layover is just 50 minutes, cause the recheck of baggage, is it enough for 50 minutes?

Are both tickets on the same reservation? What airlines are you flying? I can't answer your question without that info.

yeah on the same reservation, and it's the United airline. Thank u

You don't have to re-check your baggage in LAX. There is no US Customs when exiting the US. All you have to do at LAX is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which will both be in Terminal 7/8. You have enough time if your flight from Chicago is on-time.

Hi, im flying from Reno to LAX, connecting to Qantas flight from TBIT (all on same ticket). I know my bags will be checked thru to Australia from Reno. Upon arrival at AA T4 can I use the new T4 to TBIT connector? If so, where do I go through customs and passport control? Thanks.

Yes, you can use the T4 connector - although your flight from Reno will arrive in the American Eagle remote terminal, so you'll have to take the shuttle from there first. There is no US Customs or Passport control when leaving the US. You just show your passport to the Qantas agent when boarding your flight to Australia.

  • Enough time between dom + int?

I land at LAX at 6:50pm and my international flight to Auckland via Air New Zealand departs at 9pm. Is that enough time to get off my domestic flight, check in / check my bag/ get through security again for my flight to Auckland?

What airline are you flying on your first flight? Were your tickets purchased on one reservation or two separate reservations? I can't answer your question without that info.

They were purchased as separate reservations. I will be flying Southwest DIA --> LAX and then Air New Zealand LAX--> Auckland. Thank you in advance for your help.

You should have enough time as long as the flight from Denver is on-time. It's fastest to walk from Terminal 1 to the International Terminal rather than trying to take the shuttle.

Arriving on American, exiting in LAX on Qantas. Will I have to re-enter through security when changing planes/terminals? I have a total of 3.0 layover.

Yes, you will have to go through security when you go to the International Terminal for your Qantas flight. 3 hours is plenty of time.

  • transiting through lax from melbourne to new york on united

We will be arriving at lax on ua 99 at 6.50 am from melbourne, then departing on ua 1469 to new York at 9.00 am, is this enough time. I would assume? that our bags will be checked through as same airline. how far from international terminal to terminal 7/8

That should be enough time. You will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs then immediately re-check them. It's about a 10 minute walk from the International Terminal to T7.

  • AA connection to Tahiti Nui

Arriving from Charlotte 10:35pm 10/27, connecting to Tahiti Nui 11:50pm, sound like a doable connection ?

It is enough time if your AA flight is on-time but doesn't leave a lot of time to spare, especially if your bags aren't tagged through to PPT.

  • clearing customs and connection time sufficient?

My family and I are flying in from Vancouver (Canada) with Alaska Air and have a short connection time (57 mins) between our arrival in LAX and another flight to Mexico. Both flights are through Alaska Air and Terminal 6, do you know if we will need to go through US customs and will this connection time be sufficient?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver on your way to Mexico. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate at LAX. You have plenty of time.

Are there porters? trolleys that can be used between terminals? international check-in facility at the domestic arrivals terminal? Or will be need to somehow haul it all on and off transit buses? with thanks, Lisa, Australian
