I arrive at lax terminal 2 on Aeromexico from Mexico City at 11:50am. Then I have to connect on a west jet flight to Edmonton, Alberta (also terminal 2) at 1:45pm
Is this enough time?
I wouldn't try it. You'll have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags with westjet at their check-in counter and then go through security. without checked bags maybe it's possible under perfect circumstances.
flying Virgin Australia mid January with connecting Virgin America flight to New York all on the same ticket with a two hour stop at LAX is this enough time to clear customs
We land into LAX via Southwest at 11.20 and need to catch emirates flight at 3.45pm. We may have nearly 6 large bags. Is there an easier way to go to International terminal. Thanks
You either have to walk or take the shuttle bus with all your bags.
Flying United from Chicago to LAX to Maui in Feb 2017 with a 45 minute layover. Is that enough time or should I reboot for longer layover?
It's enough time if the flight from Chicago is on-time. With February whether who knows. All you have to do in LAX is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Thanks for the prompt response. Hadn't thought about weather since it's so nice here now. Something to consider!
My 93 yr old mom is arriving LAX on AA and leaving to Hawaii on United 2 1/2 hrs later. She does have someone meeting her at LAX and will be traveling with her to Hawaii. My question: is there any assistance to get them from AA baggage claim to United counter? I've contacted both airlines and they will only provide from plane to baggage claim (AA) and from counter to plane (United).
Yes, that is correct. If you didn't want that gap you shouldn't have booked a 93 year old on a separate-ticket connection.
Gee, thanks for that judgement....really helpful......what I am asking is if there are any services that can help? Not familiar with LAX, but I know other airports that have those kinds of help for seniors/disabled.
No, there is no such service.
Try this link for ADA at LAX.
Thanks RichHI,
That's exactly what I'd already done and they were Great.... They explained that the attendant at the arriving flight was required by law to get her to her leaving gate on a connecting flight. Everything went perfectly and she had a easy transition, so obviously everyone needs to take what ever ZAP states with a large grain of salt.
Flying in on 17 November on JAL 62 1000 PST. Transfering to American 6046 that leaves at 1415 PST. Is there enough time for a 4hr 20min layovr
Yes, that is plenty of time.
Hi, On Sunday, November 6th I have a flight from LAX (Terminal #2) at 14:10 to Vancouver international. What time should I get to LAX to go through customs and make my 2:10pm flight to Van? My hotel is a 40 minute drive away without traffic. When should I leave my hotel?
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go through security and to your departure gate and board. I would plan on arriving at LAX at around noon, so that means leave your hotel at 11:20.
I arrive at LAX from Orlando at 11am
If I booked my next flight to San Francisco at 2 pm - would that be sufficient time to allow for a connecting flight or should I allow more time? bearing in mind non-refundable tickets for a family of 5 I want to play it safe
If both flights are on the same reservation that is plenty of time. Even not on the same reservation that should be enough time.
I'm flying out to Australia and if I go from DTW to lax to Sydneydo I need to check my bags in again at lax?
If both flights are on the same reservation then you don't have to do anything with your bags at LAX.
I am taking a American Airlines flight f640am to 8:52am from ATL to LAX to connect to an international flight with United airlines 10:50 am to Narita. Do I have enough time to go through security and make it to the gate
Do you have checked bags? With checked bags that will be very difficult bordering on impossible. Without checked bags you don't even have to go through security.
Hi Zap Thanks for answering I do not plan on checking bags I will just have a carry-on. So just to be clear I can walk from my arrival gate to the departure gate without going through security and I will have enough time to make my connection.
Yes, you can.
I land at lax at 6:05 from Australia and I'm flying to Mexico. If I book a flight out of la for 9:30 will that give me enough time?
If both flights are on the same reservation that's definitely enough time. if it's two separate reservations that's just enough time.
