Las Vegas to LaxNov 11, 201220Hi, I am flying from Las Vegas at 5.34am and arriving at LAX at 6.50am. I have a flight from Tom Bradley terminal B at 8.45 to NYC with Qantas ( it's the second leg of an international flight. Is there sufficient time to get that flight to NYC if all flights are on time as advertised. I have no idea which terminal the Skywest United Express flight arrives at LAX.paulposted on Sat, Nov 10[ Reply ][ Like ]United Express (operated by Skywest) uses both Terminals 7 (gates 70-77 and Terminal 8, gates 80-88. You need to find out from Skywest whether they will transfer your bags on arrival to the Bradley departure flight; if not, you need to claim your bag at T7 or T8 and take it along to Bradley, checking it in with Qantas. 2. All three flights up to NYC are domestic flights! 3. To get to Bradley Terminal from either T7 or T8, you need to exit the terminal and take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins - your next stops after T7 are T8, around the bend to T1, T2, T3 & Bradley - 5 stops or 12 mins. At Bradley you need to go through security check before moving on to your connecting gate. You have plenty of time at LAX for transfer.sunov12posted on Sun, Nov 11

Time needed from Customs to DomesticNov 7, 201211I am arriving from an International flight to LAX arriving at 7:00 pm on a Wednesday evening. My domestic flight departs 2 hours 10 minutes later. I am a US citizen. WILL 2 HOURS BE ENOUGH TIME TO GET THRU CUSTOMS and walk to Terminal 7, clear security and still make my flight! THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH!Merreposted on Wed, Nov 71 person likes this post [ Like ]Your time is sufficient. Note that ALL international arrivals need to go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in bags where indicated, if continuing flight. You did not mention which terminal you arrive at - terminals are arranged in a U shape - TBIT, the international terminal is in the center, T4-T8 are to the right, T3-T1 to the left. You can use the tunnel between T5 & T7. Otherwise you need to take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Starting from TBIT, the next stops are at Terminals T4 –T8, it then goes on to the opposite side with T1, T2, T3 and back to TBIT. Count on 3 minutes for each stop. In either case you need to go through security check at T7 before proceeding to your gate.wenov12posted on Wed, Nov 7

39 Layover TimeOct 19, 201210Hi, I got very tight layover time from my Phoenix flight to LA. I'm bound to Narita with the same terminal (Terminal 5 arrival from Phoenix, departure to Narita) a shown in my eTicket. I'll be travelling with Delta all the way. I tried rebooking my Phoenix flight but Delta told me to have it with the agency who booked me. Until now I'm not receiving any response from the agency I think I need to bear this short layover time. Any tip on how to go about this? Thanks.AZPinoyposted on Thu, Oct 18

T5 AND TBOct 15, 201221Hi, I am flying from Austraila to LAX arriving T5. My Mum flying from China to LAX arriving TBIT. She will be 30 mins later than me and she does not speak English. After landing, can I go to TB from T5 and then do the custom and immigration with her? I do not have check in bags. Or where do you guys think is the best place for us to meet? we do not have phones. Thanks!!!FLYINGFLAKESposted on Sat, Oct 13On arrival at LAX Airport, your mother will need to go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance. For special permit to get to the arrivals gate, you would have to go to her airline's ticket counter and get a pass. Otherwise, she should simply follow the crowd - all of whom will need to go through the same procedure - then simply meet her in the Arrivals area, near the information counter.suoct12posted on Sun, Oct 141 person likes this post [ Like ]

Getting aroundOct 5, 201211On arrival at LAX Airport, exit terminal 4 - from there you have two choices: take the LAX blue line bus on the isle in front of T4 to T8: the bus comes around every 12-15 mins and will make 4 stops (10 mins); or you can walk (to the right is Terminal 5, take escalator down to tunnel, which connects T5, T6 & T7, take escalator at T7 up, exit T7 and take the short walkway to T8.froct12posted on Fri, Oct 51 person likes this post [ Like ]

Tom Bradley Term to AA Term 4Sep 6, 201211My parents don't speak any English. They will fly in to Tom Bradley International terminal, and their connection flight is with American Airline ( I believe it's at terminal 4). They have 2 hours layover. Could someone please tell me how to get from International terminal to terminal 4? Thanks in advance.JMAposted on Thu, Sep 61. On arrival at LAX your parents need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bags. However, if their initial airline will not transfer bags to the AA Terminal 4 connecting gate (not all airlines do), they need to take their bags to Terminal 4 (using Skycap) and check in at AA counter. 2. After customs clearance, they will need to exit the TBIT (Bradley) and walk to the left to Terminal 4 around the corner, where they will have to go through security check before proceeding to their gate. On entering the Terminal they should pay attention to the overhead screens to find their connecting flight number and gate. They have enough time for transfer. Universal signs will guide them.thsep12posted on Thu, Sep 61 person likes this post [ Like ]

36mins change overAug 29, 201210I am landing in LAX with United (domestic flight), and have only 36minutes to get to my international flight, which is also with United. I am worried that this is not enough time. What possible problems/issues should I be prepared for? Also, will I need to collect my luggage from the domestic terminal, or will it be transported for me to my international flight? Lastly, as I will be transferring to an international flight, will I go through all the passport/customs etc procedures when I first check into my domestic flight, or when I get to my international flight? I thought I needed to be at the airport at least 3 hours before taking an international flight . . . . Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks.JessOMahoneyposted on Tue, Aug 28At LAX, United serves Terminals 6, 7 & 8. While T6 & T7 can be accessed via tunnel, a short walking path connects T7 & T8. If you need to switch terminals, you need to go through security check at your departure terminal - 36 mins would be extremely short for a transfer. (Arrive at your initial airport 90 mins prior to your flight departure - your bags will be automatically transferred to your connecting flight). Only international ARRIVALS need to go through customs clearance procedure. 40 minute layoverAug 28, 201210Does anyone know if all of United Flights (arriving from ORD, Chicago - Departing to OGG, Maui) will be in the same terminal? I only have a 40 minute layover and want to know if that is enough time. Thankstdacekposted on Tue, Aug 28United uses both terminals 6 & 7, United Express Terminal 8; On arrival look at the overhead screen to find your connecting terminal & gate (T6 has gates 60-77; T7 gates 70-77 & T8 gates 80-88. T6& T7 are connected by underground tunnel and T8 is connected by a short walkway to T7. On entering your connecting Terminal you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. Also, do i have to check in at AA & go through security again?ibsalposted on Tue, Aug 141 person likes this post [ Like ]You need to find out if United will transfer your bags to your AA departure flight - if not, you need to claim your bag at T7 & re-check it in at LAX T4. T7, 6 & 5 are connected by underground tunnel. Where to P/U DL Int'l Pax T5 or Bradley?Aug 14, 201210Hi there! I'm going to LAX to pick up my friend who will be arriving on Delta from Narita. I believe Delta arrives at T5 and not Tom Bradley Int'l Terminal. I see that Terminal 5 has completed its renovations in Spring 2012, which included the U.S. Customs/Federal Inspection area etc. Does it mean that I can pick him up from T5 or he will still need to make own way to Tom Bradley for the custom?Bud'eposted on Mon, Aug 13Yes your friend will be processed in T5 - while you can use the garage across from it, you may also want to consider using the Cell Phone Lot (free for up to 2 hours) located adjacent to the southwest corner of Economy Parking Lot C, or a quarter-mile from 96th Street Bridge entrance into the LAX terminal complex. Stay with your car until your party has picked up luggage and calls you to be picked up at the curb of the Central Terminal area.tuaug12posted on Tue, Aug 14

International terminalJun 14, 201211im arriving from australia to LAX and staying in LA for a couple of weeks. It all looks very complicated from leaving the terminal going through all the security checks then picking up the hire car. There seems to be alot of traveling inside the airport itself , its going to be hard with 5 passangers and all our bags....maybe someone can give me some tips on how to make this a bit easier.....aszhrposted on Wed, Jun 13No problem - you arrive at the international Bradley terminal (or "TBIT") and need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance, and exit the terminal. Allow up to 50 mins for this procedure. From there you have various travel options - open www.ifly.com/lax - scroll down to "To get from the Airport to your destination....".thjun12posted on Thu, Jun 141 person likes this post [ Like ]

connecting from terminal 7 to terminal 8May 24, 201211Our airline changed our flight times so now we have only 40 minutes to connect. Arriving at Terminal 7 and must get to Terminal 8. What is the quickest way and do we have to go thru security again. Do we have enough time? Airline says yes but we are not sure.mmaichenposted on Wed, May 23Altert your flight attendant that you need to exit the plane on arrival as quickly as possible. Then head for the terminal exit and take the walkway (right) to the next terminal 8, where you have to go through security check again and on to your gate. However, if you see the bus already approaching from the left take this one to the next stop: LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins.thapr12posted on Thu, May 241 person likes this post [ Like ]
