We are flying from Newark to SJU and then from SJU to Tortola. The flights are on separate reservations. We have a 55 minute layover between flights. Where is the InterCaribben gate? Will we be able to go directly from the United gate to it? Is this enough time? We will only have carry-ons. No checked baggage.
We are traveling from St. Thomas to SJU via Cape Air the flight says it will land at 11:01 am. We will then have to get on a United Flight at 1:45 PM. Is this a reasonable time frame? Do we have to go through customs? What if we have checked baggage?
Yes, that is enough time. There is no Immigration or customs when traveling from USVI to Puerto Rico or Puerto Rico to the mainland. If you have checked bags and it's two separate reservations you will have to claim and re-check your bags with United.
Carry on bag only. One passenger one reservation.. Flying from Ft.Lauderadale JetBlue arriving 9:35 at concourse A then connection at 10:40 to Mayaguez on Cape Air concourse D. Will I have go thru security or can I just walk with my carry on bag from A to D concourse with no stops in any area of the airport? Will Cape Air give me my boarding pass at the gate?
Yes, you can walk directly to your departure gate. You should have enough time.
Will Cape Air provide the boarding pass at there gate?
Arriving from Atlanta to San Juan on Delta. Departing San Juan to Tortola on InterCaribbean. Same terminal. No checked bags. Can I check in and get boarding pass at departing gate of InterCaribbean? Or do I have to leave terminal and go to the main check in counter, whever that is?
You'll have to ask InterCaribbean. I imagine that the gate probably can check you in.
Two teenage boys travelling together t the BVI from the States, looking to set expectations:
Carry-on only, from BWI on Southwest into SJU, connecting to Cape Air to EIS. How much time is needed between and what is the process?
On the way back, Cape Air into EIS, connecting to Southwest to BWI. How much time is needed, guessing customs will take a bit?
All they have to do on the way to EIS is claim their bags from Southwest, re-check them with Cape Air, and go through security. On the way back they will go through US Immigration and Customs and claim their bags, check them with with Southwest, and go through security. 2 hours on the way there and 3 on the way back would be ideal.
