Lulea LLA Airport Overview

Lulea International Airport LLA is Sweden's fifth-largest Airport, and is the largest airport in northern Sweden (referred to as ‘Norrland’). It serves the majority of municipalities in Norbotten.

LLA Airport is located near the village of Kallax, about 7 km southeast of Lulea.

With a long runway and an estimated 1.1M passengers annually, Lulea International Airport  is served by a number of domestic and international airlines and charter companies, offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.

Lulea Airport has one passenger terminal - which completed its extensive refurbishment in December 2013.  Imrovements include a new baggage hall & baggage sorting facility, a larger check-in area, more seating, new flooring, new lighting & wall decor, added restrooms, extension of gates 2 & 5; a new passport control (now one level up from the security checkpoint).  Part of the overhaul work also included areas around the terminal entrance, taxi stand & rental car operations, a new entrance,  and at airside the widening of the taxiway.
Amenities and sevices include food & drink in the food court, & retail concessions, tax-fee shop, left luggage office, internet access, conference facilities and a VIP lounge & rental car counters.
