Getting from Madrid Barajas Airport to your destination:
By Subway or Train:
Subway (Madrid Metro) to Nuevos Minsterios: take Metro Line 8 from Terminal 4, level 1 or from Terminal 2 on level 1 via connecting passageway in the center to carpark 2. Travel takes 12-15 minutes. The Metro also connects to stations of the Spanish railway network (Ceranias).
The Cercanias link between Chamartin Station and Terminal 4 connects T4 not only with Chamartin Station, but also with Atocha AVE high-speed train stations.
RENFE local Train Route C1 (tel. 902-320-320)- running 5:59am-12:15pm every 30 mins. - from Terminal 4, level 1 (take shuttle bus from other terminals to T4) to Principe Pio: stops at Fuente de la Mora, Chamartin, Nuevos Ministerios, Recoletos, Atocha, Mendez Alvaro, Delicias, Piramides and Principe Pio. Journey time to Principe Pio is 38 mins, to Atocha 25 mins & to Chamartin 11 mins. A RENFE office is in the arrivals area of Terminal 1 for information and tickets for national rail network.
By Bus:
Terravision shuttle (visit: terravision.eu) offers buses to City Center taking 20-30 mins.
EMT buses (tel. 902-507-8500 or visit emtmadrid.es) make regular runs between the Airport and Madrid’s Avenida de America station:
- EMT Bus line 200 stops outside Arrivals & Departures of T1 & T2; Bus 204 leaves outside Arrivals of T4 - travel time: 30 mins.
- EMT Bus line 101 stops outside Arrivals & Departures of T1 & T2, heading to the CanillejasTransport Hub, with connections there to some city & intercity buses, and to the Metro system.
'Linea Expres' buses to the Atocha-RENFE transport hub run every 15 mins during day, every 35 mins at night. Buses depart from level 0, Arrivals, of Terminals 1, 2 & 4, cost about EUR 5 (baggage free) and ticket can be bought on-bus. They arrive at Madrid city center, taking about 40 mins.
