Information Desks at MAD Airport

Located in all terminals. More than 100 green-jacketed staff members are ready to help travelers with questions regarding the airport.

Airline Lounges
VIP lounges are located in all terminals.

Tourist Office
One office is located in Terminal 1, Arrivals Lobby, and two offices are located in the Terminal 4 baggage relcaim halls.

Left Luggage / Baggage Storage
Both the old and new sections of the airport have left luggage offices located in Terminal 4, Terminal 2 and Terminal 1. All luggage is closely screened for security reasons.

Locker rental fee (subject to change) for:
24-hr day or part thereof: €3.70 (large & small locker);
from two to five days: large locker, €4.78; small locker €3.72.
Storage from day fifteen on: €1,91
Transfer to the warehouse: €38.19
Special baggage €4.78.
Lockers specifically designed for large objects such as bicycles, surfboards, etc. are available.

Lost Luggage
Passengers should contact their airline directly.

International Travelers at Madrid Barajas MAD Airport

International Arrivals are at Terminals T1, and T4 & T4S.

All passengers, who are citizens of any of the European countries which adhere to the Schengen Agreement, are considered "domestic" citizens and will not have to undergo the stringent customs and security checks, while those who are citizens outside the Schengen area are considered "foreign" citizens and need to present their passports & other needed documentation regarding import of goods, etc.

Please contact your airline for any lost or left items and complete a form called Property Irregularity Report.
For damaged items, please notice the airline within 7 days.
For delayed items, please notice within 21 hours.

Mail Center / U.S. Post Office at Madrid Barajas MAD Airport

Mailing facilities are available on Terminal 4 Level 0 and Terminal 1 Level 0.

Pets / Animals at Madrid Barajas MAD Airport

Pets are not allowed at MAD airport, unless they are working dogs or in a secure travel kennel. Each airline has their own rules as to pets on board. Contact your airline. If you are transporting your animal into another country, contact your vet first as to required shots, as well as the destination country's embassy as to their individual requirements for Pets arriving from a foreign country.

Smoking is prohibited in all terminals and facilities, according to the Schengen Agreement.
