    Is it possible to bring a wheelchair on an airplane, or would I be better off using airport wheelchairs along the way? Can I check something as big as a wheelchair as "baggage?"

    You can do both; your own wheelchair will be put in the aircraft's holding area and retrieved upon your arrival. However, if you opt for an airport wheelchair, be sure to notify your Airline well ahead of your departure (best when you book your flight), who will pass on the info to their airport staff and have a wheelchair ready when you arrive. Many complaints come in regarding lack of enough wheelchairs during the busy summer season.
