MBS Airport Overview
MBS International Airport, formally named Tri City Airport, is a special municipality owned by the City of Midland, the City of Saginaw and the County of Bay. The airport is located in Freeland, Michigan, which is centrally located between the three owning communities. Interstate I-75 and US 10 are the main transportation arteries to the airport: From I-75 take the US-10 west exit 162B 'Midland'; take the Garfield Road Exit; turn left (south) onto Garfield Road and follow for five miles. The main airport entrance is on the left at the caution light.
With two runways, MBS is served by two major airlines and their affiliates. It offers ample, safe, and affordable long- and short-term parking within a short walking distance to the passenger terminal. Its ground transportation includes rental car agencies and taxi and limousine service by a number of companies. The terminal's Food Court offers food and beverages; there is a game room and a gift shop offering reading materials, snacks and gifts. MSB Airport also provides free internet service. Below is a list of airline contacts.
A new state-of-the art passenger $48 million terminal is being built north of the current terminal, while the present one is undergoing renovation. It is anticipated that upon completion of the project, more low-cost airlines will be added, resulting in more destination and choices and savings for passengers.
