I am flying into LAS at 11:20 pm on United and then I am flying out to HNL on Hawaiian at 1:55 am. Will I have enough time to go get my checked bags from United baggage claim and then check my bags at Hawaiian and still get back to the gates for my flight out?

  • Transfer from E gates to D gates

How easy is to make the transfer, I'm trying to reach the centurion lounge at concourse D but my JetBlue flight departures from E gates

It's very easy to reach the D gates from the E gates. However, the route back to E is a bit more difficult as by default that train routes you to the Terminal 3 baggage claim. I don't recall if you can access the E gates from the Train from D to T3.

Arriving on southwest flight and changing planes to another southwest flight. Will the departure flight be in the same terminal and nearby?

Yes, all Southwest gates are in the same terminal and are connected to each other.

Can you go from B gate to D gate without having to go through security again?

I believe it is possible, but I've never done it and the route will not be well marked.

  • SFO to LAS to MOT

Hi, I already booked a ticket SFO to LAS and LAS to MOT. I will arrive at LAS 1:05pm and departure time at 2:10pm. SFO to LAS is by Virgin America which is T3 and then LAS to MOT is by Allegiant which T1. I kind of worried to not make it.. So, do you think it is possible? or should I buy a ticket? I am not going to check my baggage.

I wouldn't risk it. If you want to try this connection I would look for an earlier flight from SFO, which should exist. One on Southwest would even put you in the same terminal as Allegiant.

I will be flying in on the thursday flight from BZN to LAS on allegient and then have a connection to the American Airlines flight that leaves at 1059 . I know that allegient leaves from A gates and American leaves From D gates. I was wondering if this would be possible to make.

You didn't post when you are arriving in LAS - so I don't know if you have enough time. Also will you have checked bags or not?

10:10 is when I arrive and no I am not checking a bad

It's possible, barely if you are already checked in for your American flight and hurry to the train to your departure gate in D.

  • int to dom connection 12:45pm-2:10pm without bags?

Hi! Traveling without checked bags. If I'm arriving on international flight for Copenhagen with Norwegian at 12:45pm, would I be able to catch a 2:10pm Westjet flight to Edmonton Canada?

    *from Copenhagen

Without checked bags I think you could make it if you check in for your Westjet flight before leaving Copenhagen. If you wait until you get to LAS to check-in it might be cutting it a little close.

Thank you for the reply!!. With those flights would I just stay in the international area in same terminal and not have to go through security until landing in Canada?

No, you will arrive in Terminal 3, go through US Immigration and customs, then go out, get your Westjet boarding pass if you don't already have it, and go through security. You have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security any time you transit the US, even if you are connecting to another country. Now, if you return to Copenhagen via the same route, you will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Edmonton.

I am coming in at 6:45pm via Allegiant and need to get checked bag and then get to Frontier for a &:40 depart. Is this possible?

    7:40pm departure

No, I see no way that that would be possible.

  • Planning a flight to BOI through LAS and SLC

Would 2 hours 48 minutes be enough time to transfer from international to domestic? Planning a flight to Boise that stops in Las Vagas and Salt Lake City, around December time but will need to book earlier. Also will eligible for Automated Passport Control. Thanks for any answers.

It's probably enough time, but what airlines are you flying? Where is your international flight coming from?

London to Las Vagas - Virgin Atlantic Vegas to SLC & SLC to Boise - Delta All three flights would be booked on the same reservation/ticket

Yes, that should be enough time. You will arrive in Terminal 3, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, re-check your bags at the re-check desk (I haven't 100% been able to confirm that Las Vegas has an international arrivals re-check desk after customs, since they have very few international connections - if they do not you will have to take your bags with you on a shuttle bus to re-check them with Delta in Terminal 1), then go through security and take the train to your departure gate in concourse D.

Arriving on Delta in LAS connecting to Frontier. Both use D gates. From gate 42 to gate 17 how long is the walk?

    Maybe 5-10 minutes.

  • Southwest to Norwegian

Looking at booking WN BUR-LAS arriving 3:25PM into LAS, and departing on Norwegian @ 5:25PM to Stockholm, ARN. WN will arrive into T1 B or C-gates, and Norwegian goes out of T3. I will not have any bags, however DY does not allow online check in. Regular check in closes @ 4:25PM. Is 1 hour enough to get from T1 to T3? What is the fastest way, shuttle or can I take the trains to D-gates and then E-gates from where I will exit and go to the check-in counter?

Yes, without checked bags you could take the train to the D gates and then the E gates and then exit. That's what I'd try to do. It's still not without risks.

Is the tram to D-gates clearly signed in the B/C-gate areas? If arriving in the low C-gates I guess it will be faster to take the tram which on the map looks to be right next to the tram going to D-gates. Also, over at D-gates are the trams connecting T1 and T3 close to each other?

It's not very clearly marked because it's not a connection many people have to make. In D, the T1 and T3 trains aren't too far from each other - you'll want to follow signs that are pointing to the United/Frontier/Hawaiian baggage claim (they use the D gates and Terminal 3 for check in/baggage claim).

  • SouthWest - Connection Time

First time flying with SouthWest and into McCarran. i am due to arrive from Louisville at 18.10 and then go on to LAX 19.15, will I have sufficient time? Thank you in advance for any guidance.

Yes, that should be plenty of time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I'm coming in on Norwegian Egates from Copenhagen at 5pm and need to connect to Hawaiian D gates for a 6:15pm flight, will I make it, and should I take the train or walk from E Gate to D Gate?

This connection is completely impossible. In Las Vegas you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, and go through US Customs, then you will have to go to the departure level of Terminal 3 and re-check your bags with Hawaiian. However, the bag check closes at 5:30. There's pretty much no way you can make this connection.

Also, it's impossible to walk from the D gates to the E gates, you can only take the train.

We arrive in LAS at 2:33 pm on 27th February with Delta (Terminal 1). Our connection flight leaves at 5:25 pm with Norwegian (Terminal 3). Is three hours enough time to retrieve our bags, go to the terminal 3, check in our bags and make it to the gate on time?

That should be enough time if your Delta flight is on-time and the shuttle bus comes reasonably quickly.

  • T3 to T1 transfer

I'm flying on BA to LHR to LAS arriving in T3 then connecting onto DELTA to SJC T1. Is 1.5 hours enough time to clear security and transfer terminals - hand luggage only. Will I need to get the inter-terminal shuttle?

If you are able to check in online for your Delta flight you can go through security in Terminal 3 after you clear customs and then take the train to the D concourse, thus avoiding the inter-terminal shuttle. I think you would have enough time to do that. If you have to take the inter-terminal shuttle, no, I don't think you'd have enough time. Even without having to take the shuttle, this is a very tight connection.
