If arriving to Las Vegas on United what terminal do they use?

You will arrive in the D satellite concourse and then take the tram to Terminal 3 to collect your baggage. There's ample signage showing you which train to get on.

How long does the D-gate to T1 tram ride take?

The tram ride itself is like 1 minute. Walking from the D-gates to the tram takes maybe 3-5 minutes.

Can I get from terminal 1 d gates to terminal 1 c gates without passing thru security? Arriving on Delta connecting to Southwest.

At LAS, when getting off at Satellite D, take the D gate tram to Concourse C, arriving at baggage claim level, then switch over to adjacent C gate tram to your connecting C gate.

    Thank You

Yes, you can get between C & D by asking TSA to allow access BEFORE exiting secure area. The American Express Lounge (Called the Centurion Lounge) is in the D area, so I go from C to D (and back) frequently. If all else fails, tell TSA that you want to go to or from that lounge.

When switching to from the D tram to the C tram do I need to exit the security zone and re-enter ?

My elderly father is flying back home via American and I'm on a Alaska airlines flight. Can I check in for an Alaska flight in terminal 1 and see him to his gate? If possible, how much time should I leave to get to Terminal 3 within security?

No, you cannot check in for an Alaska flight in Terminal 1. However, if you check in online you could go through security in T1 with your father, then take the tram to him with D (where his American flight will depart), then take the T3 tram to E where your flight will depart. If you cannot check-in online beforehand you will not be able to go through security in T1 or get to T3 within security. You'll have to take a shuttle bus to T3.

I am flying Southwest into Vegas and my friend is flying united into concourse D. Will he be able to take the tram from D to the baggage area for Terminal 1. Neither one of us will have checked bags.

Yes, you can take the tram from any point in D to Terminal one.

    Thank you!

  • Gates for Southwest

I am arriving at LAS on 11/21 @ 11:25 am, Flight # 1810 and will depart Southwest at 12:00 pm on 11/21, Flight # 499. I would like to know what gate I will arrive at and what gate to I depart from and do I have enough time to get there?

You won't know the exact gate until the day of your flight but all Southwest flights use concourses B and C and all are connected beyond security.

At LAS I know SWA flies into/out of B and C gates. Hawaiin flies into/out of D gates. If I arrive on a SW flight into B/C, can I get to D without re-checking through security? I've only left myself 1 hour (which I think is pretty standard layover time) to get from on flight to the next but I can't tell if I need to do security again after arriving on SWA to get between B/C and D. Thanks!

First of all, you will only have a chance to make this connection if you have no checked baggage as Southwest won't transfer your bags to Hawaiian. Secondly you leave yourself no room for error. I believe you can take the train from B/C to D without having to go through security again.

Thanks. We are in fact NOT checking bags- we of course knew that there's no way we'd make an hour layover with bags. Ironically I've been to LAS countless times but always as a destination and never once as a layover. So that was the reason for the no-security question as I scoured the mccarran website for a long time and could find nothing about security as it related to inter-gate exchanges. Thanks!

How long does it take to get from Southwest in Terminal 1 to Terminal 3? Any route?

I would leave 2-3 hours between connections. you MAY be able to take the train to the D gates and then the other train to T3 from the D gates. However, there is also a shuttle.

Is there a way to get from terminal three to terminal one without leaving security area.

You should be able to take the train from the T3 to the D gates and then the D-gates to T1. However, arriving in T1 on the train may force you into the baggage claim, in which case you would have to go back through security. I don't remember if there's an option once you arrive on the train in T1 to remain in the secure area.

Fresh made juice. Usually very curtious. Fair price for quantity.

Im arriving on Southwest concourse B and departing on American Concourse D. How do I get there and do I need to go through security again?

I'm pretty sure you can walk between concourse B and the Main Terminal to D automated Tram beyond security. If you can't, you'll need to exit security in the main terminal, go to the departures level, go through security and then follow the signs to concourse D tram.

Due to quirky Southwest pricing, I can save about 1/3 the airfare separately booking FLL-LAS then LAS-BUR (as opposed to their FLL-BUR (despite SW using the very same flights). But doing it separately means I will have to leave the secured area, retrieve my bags, recheck them, then go back through security. Arriving 18-Oct-13 at 4:40pm, departing 7:10pm. I'm thinking there's enough time to safely do this - agree/disagree?

That will definitely be enough time - also, you can see if they will check the bags through for you. The computers that Southwest currently uses gives them a lot of lee-way with checking bags.
