My son is landing in Vegas at terminal 3 on Alaska airlines, he has 35 minutes to get to a shuttle at terminal 1 zero level, whre does he go, the minute he gets off the plane? Thank you

If he does not have checked bags he can take the underground train to the D-gates and then a separate underground train from the D-gates to Terminal 1 and then follow the signs to the baggage claim. If he has checked bags he has to take a shuttle https://www.mccarran.com/Go/Inter-TerminalShuttle.aspx

He only has a carry on, so is the underground clearly marked? He's at the E gates. Then when he gets to baggage claim, where does he exit to the pedestrian walk to the parking where the St. George shuttle waits? Thx!!

I have no first hand info on that shuttle so that I can't help you with.

I'm flying from Vancouver arriving 9:00 p.m.o on Westjet to T3 and connecting to an American flight leaving T1 at 11:30 p.m. for Miami. Will I have to pick up bags in T3 and will I have to go through security again?

Westjet and American have an Interline agreement, so you can show the Westjet Agent in YVR your American confirmation and hopefully they will be willing to tag your bags through to Miami for you. Your American flight will actually leave from Concourse D which is connected by train to both T1 and T3, so if your bags are transferred automatically you can just take the train from Concourse E where you will arrive to Concourse D where you will depart. However, if Westjet will not tag your bags through to Miami you will have to claim them in the T3 baggage claim and take the shuttle to T1 to check them with American, then take the train from T1 to concourse D. You should still have enough time to do that assuming your flight from Vancouver is on-time.

Anyone know how long it takes to walk from terminal 1, gate A to gate C? The airport map makes it look far apart.

10-15 minutes, depends on the actual gate within A and C (C is fairly large).

What is the quickest way from gate C to Gate A? Thanks

Concourses A and C are connected by walkways, just follow the signs.

What is the quickest way to the D gates, would it be terminal 1 or 3?

It's the same. The security checkpoints in 3 are usually less crowded though.

Need to quickly get from Terminal 1 (D gates) to Terminal 3 (E gates) for a connection. What is the best way? How quickly can it be done?

The D-gates are part of both Terminal 1 and 3 and there is a train that runs inside security to each of them.

I am arriving TermD and my son is flying in on Southwest (either B or C). Does anyone have any idea if its possible to locate him out front (he thinks my daughter is picking him up) if I'm walking or should I get in a cab and have them drive to TermB orC?

    What terminal does southwest use

2 hours should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. If you miss your connection you will be rebooked on the next flight to Boston. Worst case you take the Acela or NEC Amtrak up to Boston.

I am arriving on Hawaiian at 7:00am with a 2hr. layover and departing on Southwest 9:00 with luggage. Is that sufficient time and how do I go from terminals?

You arrive at Terminal 1's Satellite Concourse D (D gates) and depart from Concourse C (C gates); On arrival you need to take the D gate tram to main Terminal 1 and take the separate C-gate tram to your connecting C gates. You have enough time.

Check in for your Southwest flight online before you leave Hawaii.

MAHALO, So my luggage claim would be at terminal 1?

No, if you have checked luggage you will have to transfer it yourself. The baggage claim is in T3. You will then have to take a shuttle bus to T1, then check your bags with Southwest, then go back through security and to your gate in C. You will barely have enough time to do this if your first flight is on-time. You may want to try to get a later flight on Southwest.

    Mahalo for the info.

  • SLC to LAS to the UK

I am flying into LAS from SLC arriving at Terminal 1. I have 2 hours until my Virgin Atlantic flight to Manchester, UK leaving from Terminal 3. From what I understand I can catch a tram from Concourse D directly to T3 without going through security again. Is this right? Thanks

    Yes, that is correct.

At LAS, Satellite Concourse D of Terminal 1 - with gates D1-D59 in an X layout has at its center an escalator/ elevator down to the underground D tram, connecting both Terminals 1 & 3 within seconds. no security check needed.

If arriving to Las Vegas on United what terminal do they use?

You will arrive in the D satellite concourse and then take the tram to Terminal 3 to collect your baggage. There's ample signage showing you which train to get on.

How long does the D-gate to T1 tram ride take?

The tram ride itself is like 1 minute. Walking from the D-gates to the tram takes maybe 3-5 minutes.

Can I get from terminal 1 d gates to terminal 1 c gates without passing thru security? Arriving on Delta connecting to Southwest.

At LAS, when getting off at Satellite D, take the D gate tram to Concourse C, arriving at baggage claim level, then switch over to adjacent C gate tram to your connecting C gate.

    Thank You

Yes, you can get between C & D by asking TSA to allow access BEFORE exiting secure area. The American Express Lounge (Called the Centurion Lounge) is in the D area, so I go from C to D (and back) frequently. If all else fails, tell TSA that you want to go to or from that lounge.

When switching to from the D tram to the C tram do I need to exit the security zone and re-enter ?

My elderly father is flying back home via American and I'm on a Alaska airlines flight. Can I check in for an Alaska flight in terminal 1 and see him to his gate? If possible, how much time should I leave to get to Terminal 3 within security?

No, you cannot check in for an Alaska flight in Terminal 1. However, if you check in online you could go through security in T1 with your father, then take the tram to him with D (where his American flight will depart), then take the T3 tram to E where your flight will depart. If you cannot check-in online beforehand you will not be able to go through security in T1 or get to T3 within security. You'll have to take a shuttle bus to T3.

I am flying Southwest into Vegas and my friend is flying united into concourse D. Will he be able to take the tram from D to the baggage area for Terminal 1. Neither one of us will have checked bags.

Yes, you can take the tram from any point in D to Terminal one.

    Thank you!
