Melbourne MLB Airport Overview
Melbourne International Airport MLB serves central Florida's east coast. For the visitor, the area offers endless sun-drenched beaches, a visit to the Space Museum, as well as dozens of amusement parks small and large, with Disney Land in Orlando as top attraction.
The Airport is located outside the City of Melbourne, which is situated at Central Florida's East Coast. If you use the main artery, the I-95, use the following exits: from the North--take Exit 183 (Sarno Road); from the South--take Exit 180 (to US 192). It opens at 4:30am and closes usually with the last flight of the day.
With 3 runways and an estimated 340,000 passengers a year, Melbourn International Airport is presently served by Delta and US Airways, offering daily nonstop flights to Atlanta & Charlotte, with connections around the globe.Baer Air provides scheduled and charter flights.
Melbourne Airport has one passenger terminal. (For more information, please refer to 'Terminal Map' page.)
To pick up a passenger at Melbourne Airport use the free cell phone lot (the access lane is presently moved to Ted Huff Road.) Stay with your car until your party calls you to be picked up at the terminal's curb.
Parking options at Melbourne Airport: Parking is available in the parking lot located a short distance from the ticketing area of the terminal, with the first 30 minutes free. A covered walkway gets you from/to the passenger terminal. MasterCard, Visa and American Express are accepted. For more parking information call 321-674-1833.
To get from Melbourne Airport to your destination, you can rent a car (the rental car lot is within walking distae of the terminal)or use Intermodal transportaton facilities which include: a Greyhound Bus Station at the passenger terminal; Taxi-Limo-Shuttle Vans; and Charter Buses.
The Melbourne Airport Express Shuttle offering door-to-door vans, has special rates for tourist destinations, such as Port Canavral & Disney's Vero BeacResort (tel. 321-724-1600 or within the U.S. 800-826-4544.
Space Coast Area Transit (SCAT) (tel. 321-633-1878 or visit: ridescat.com) buses serve Brevard County with accessible buses: A SCAT bus stop is outside the main terminal.
The Greyhound bus Terminal (tel. 321-723-4323 or 800-231-2222 or visit greyhound.com) is near the main terminal and offers daily service to Florida cities & beyond.
