Merida Rejon Airport MID
serves the Mexican State of Yucatan and its capital city Merida. Its Area Control Center (Centro Merida) controls air traffic over the southeastern part of the country. MID Airport is located in the southern edge of the city of Merida, which was founded in 1542 and is close to the famous Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza and Uxmal.

(a) Calle 59 from City center, turning left onto Avenida Itzaes (at El Centenaro zoo), takes you right to the Airport entrance. From the city's circle road Anillo Periferico, take the Avenida Itzaes exit.
